Coming Soon... "Jeopardy!: Man vs. Machine"

Forget the show, "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader." Are you smarter than an IBM "Jeopardy!" robot? We’ll find out in a man vs. machine match-up. We’ve all seen the movies with artificial intelligence: Transformers, The Matrix, Wall-E, and others. Well, we may be a lot closer to the Wall-E’s of the future then we think.

In February, two of Jeopardy’s most successful champions will play against a robot named Watson developed by IBM’s artificial intelligence team.

The IBM team says the robot knows how to answer difficult trivia questions containing puns, brainteasers, and other nuances, and will compete against "Jeopardy!" champions Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter for $1 milllion. If Watson the robot wins, IBM will donate all of the winnings to charity, while Ken and Brad both have said they will donate half their winnings to charity.

Maybe this is the first sign of a spin off: "Jeopardy!: Man vs. Machine."
