READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
Piers Morgan interviewed Mort Zuckerman and Marty Peretz about Egypt and the Israel implications last night on "Piers Morgan Tonight."
Both guests also talked about the violence aimed at journalists in Cairo. "It's terrible when that happens, but it happens over and over again in these situations," said Zuckerman. Peretz, though, had a different take:
Frankly I thought you guys and women were engaging in a little professional narcissism. Revolutions are not birthday parties.
At the end of the segment, Piers said, "Well Marty, I respect your opinion, I don't agree with it."
Tonight's live show will focus on Egypt as well – stay tuned for more details.
This is proven by CNN (Joneil Adriano-a g*y man who has a degree in women's studies from Columbia) blocking twitter followers who dared to ask why CNN wasn't covering international news stories but was focussed on DADT/Shervill(a non story)/Kathy griffin or the gay issue of the day. Then ironically CNN decides to cover that story and get the highest ratings maybe ever proving the people blocked were right all along.
Hundreds of emails going out to viewers telling them to eff off because they dare to go against Jon Klein and what he decided he wanted most of all.
Blocking views of the opposing side who post on the blog while allowing fawning, retarded people and endless suck up comments on the looks of the anchor.
CNN is the biggest offender of "professional narcissism" of any media.
Replaying in a loop th non attack on Anderson Cooper.
Piers better catch up on CNN corporate culture.
Look at the comment below–CNN welcomes lively and courteous discussion is a joke. They just want fawning. They are incapable of a discussion because they don't want to hear the other side of anything.
Peretz is bsolutely right. Repeating the same reports and film over and over again is brainwashing not news. So there are ten of thousands of anti government protesters in a square in Cairo...I think you could easily get tens of thousands of people in any country to get together when the media fosters this type of nonesense. And you tell me this was not organized!!!please...There are 82 milion Egyptians ....these demonstrators are hurting their own country...with lots of help from the Media who don"t give a damn about Egypt or the people in it. They just want to fill their time slot.
I completely agree with the comment above. CNN and the western media are trying to increase ratings by only reporting on the violence, since violence sells. CNN and the western media should also report ALL sides of the story in Egypt. Obviously, 100,000 protesters don't represent the opinions of ALL 82 million Egyptians. Even though the protesters have valid concerns about the governance of Egypt. I hope a peaceful transition of power will occur, instead of a violent insurrection that will help CNN ratings.
When Peretz an intelligent person is trying to send a clear message, it is again taken in an arrogant way.
Peretz' comments on the media in Egypt were completely out of place, insensitive and plain stupid. He clearly has his own bias agenda and should refrain from any further commentary as he has no credibility.
