Rod Stewart's hard-partying past: drinking, drugs, dangling hotel keys, trashing hotel rooms

Rod Stewart will be Piers Morgan's guest on "Piers Morgan Tonight" this evening, and the duo talked about life, love and Stewart's new baby.

But Stewart also took a trip down memory lane, and relayed several stories from the road. It included drinking and drugs, of course, but that was the beginning. "We would dangle our Holiday Inn key in front of the girls," said Stewart. "And they'd all be back at the hotel." And then there was the trashing of the hotel rooms after. And which group name did Stewart start checking in under after hotels started catching on? Check out the clip above.

Please tell me how much longer CNN will put Priss Morgan on the ait? What a disaster for CNN to bring him on board. I've taken to CNBC to escape him.

Waited to see Rod Stewart but got more of the Libyan crisis on the show. What kind of a show is this anyway? We have Anderson Cooper 360 at ten, why mess with so many viewers waiting for Rod Stewart at nine??? Pathetic!!

Very disappointed on the change of programming! Me and my husband were getting ready to watch the Rod Stewart interview and you did not even take the time to mention when the interview will be on.

Do you think Piers himself gets a say on who or what is aired when? It's CNN who keep disappointing.

Not again! Everyone's waiting for Rod Stewart. Piers is losing an audience, by repeatedly holding out. Enough! Bring him on and quit blowing air up our kilts!

We are very disappointed with the Pierce Morgan show, we have been waiting about 2 weeks to see Rod Stewart , and every night it's about something in the middle East or some place that is covered by Anderson Cooper or someone else all day long.I can tell you this My husband and I watched Larry King for years and loved him because he was very intertaining with real life stuff. We will no longer be waiting for Pierce to come on, because it;s just another news show.. Marilyn Powers

Nice of you to continually use Stewart as an upcoming guest then pull the plug on him and say nothing about it. You are not, and never will be a journalist or newscaster, get over yourself and do what we hope you can do, which is interview.

    Hi Piers,
It would be Fantastic to see Rod Stewart Live on your Show soon!
It was a little disappointing, to verify that Rod would be on and then all of a sudden it was cancelled!
So, I was just wondering, when we could actually see your Interview with Rod?
Hope, it's before we see him Live in Concert?

Really disappointed that Rod has been cancelled...yet again! Just a suggestion .. why not allow Piers to stick with the promised/advertised celebs and let Anderson fill us in on the latest Middle East crisis?? Piers is a great newsman but wasn't he Larry's replacement?? Can't remember Larry's interviews postponed on air as often as Piers'?? King did get into the news of the day but not almost nightly??!! Just wondering CNN...what's THE story???

Let's get the Rod Stewart interview on now! Enough of the news stories that many other programs and stations already provide. Quit changing the scheduled programing!

I also have been waiting for weeks to see the Rod Stewart interview. I'm wondering if it's ever going to happen. There are other programs that cover the latest news stories if you care to watch them. How about giving us an actual date when Rod will be on? If you think you're going to get new viewers because you continue to postpone the interview, you're very wrong. You're only making people dislike your show!
