Writer and director Kevin Smith was a guest on "Piers Morgan Tonight" on Friday to talk about his new movie "Red State" and more. He said unlike previous movies ("'Dogma' clearly was me going 'I've got something to say,') but with this horror movie, that has changed.

I don't make a franchiseable movie. 'Red State' took three years to find the financing for. It's bleak. It's uncompromising. It demands a lot of the audience."
