On last night's "Piers Morgan Tonight", Piers Morgan interviewed Kid Rock about music and politics, Detroit and Iraq, iTunes and "Idol" and much more. The wide-ranging interview spent time on Rock's trips overseas and if he was a Republican? While he said he leaned right in some areas, "We don't want a bunch of bible-thumpers...and we don't want a bunch of pot-smoking hippies" in office. As for the Iraq War, Kid Rock detailed a very multi-faceted opinion, before concluding: "War is never a good thing, but I do think it's necessary."

Caught a bit of this last night. It seemed like Piers had a bit of a slant, kept asking if the wars were right or wrong like he was trying to get Kid Rock to wave an anti-war sign. I give Kid a lot of credit for his opinion in a world of celebrity anti-war poser politicians who really don't know what they are talking about.
I really don't like the personality of this show. I wish you would figure out some different programming.

I saw the show last night and though kid Rock was incredible. He is very dedicated to his family and friends and not to mention his hometown that he really is an amazing person. i had the honor of meeting him overseas in Iraq on christmas day 2006 and he really had such an impact on the troops. He is much admired by the military and we thank him for caring enough to spend time with us.
I really dlsiiked March too! Mostly for Marmee and Mr's March's romance (specifically the Walden Pond part). I'm not going to include the spoiler in case any of your readers are still planning to read March, but I've read Little Women many, many times, and I just cannot accept Marmee behaving like that ever!
Hate your left sided politics Piers But I enjoy your interviewing style. Last night with kid rock was terrific. I may dislike his lack of style and my maternal side makes me cringe and want to cut his hair but he is a stand up, straight ahead good guy...sshhh don't let that out I'd hate for his sales to go down...love rock. Never been a fan really but you are a terrific human being!
Just drop here to say you Americans are so naive to hire such a jerk as this Piers Morgan. Because your so little involved internationally you dont know his ridiculous past in Britain, the how dumb he looked in many host shows, as showed by brit presenters Ian Hislop and Paul Merton, among others, and how stupid he looked in American Idol, in sharp contrast with the great Simon Cowell. But thats America, the only place a guy like that could be worshipped.
You're the moron for thinking Americans hired him like we voted him into office or something. CNN hired him, we watched because Kid Rock is a talented individual and a real American. Check that, US citizen. Unfortunately you're an American too, obviously not a bright one.
2OZ, I think you're wrong.. we got 2.5 to 3 years max before this thing bubelbs.. anyone who tells you otherwise is a fool. Also, ill give you a piece of advice, once we start our next and final leg up, DO NOT listen to the majority of analysts out there... They will be the first and last to keep hyping up the metals. its their job and bread and butter... Pick a decent price point and hope the best. I hope this helps you.
I honestly believe this was one of Piers best interviews and I have come away with so much more appreciation and respect for Kid Rock. I have probably told about 60 people today to go back and watch the clips on this show. I found Kid Rock to be a very good person and someone that puts his family, friends and hometown/country first.

Broncgirl, if you have not seen the KID live, you must put that on your list of things to do. Once you see him live you will be a fan for life. Hi stage shows are the best. I have been to lots of other concerts, but his shows are the best by far. Nickelback compares but the KID is the best. You will leave there saying that was the best damn show I have been to.

I have never done this before...sending a comment anywhere...however I so enjoyed your interview with Kid Rock. I am a fan... I live in a small city in Nova Scotia, Canada and he was sked. to do a concert here last year, however it was cancelled at the last minute...media said that it was because of his record and immigration would not let him into Canada....so sad for us all. I admire him and maybe he can get those records changed for a future concert
Piers, You are Terrible! Learn how to interview. It sounded like you ran out of questions about 3 or 4 deep, and then started asking random stuff. It was one of worst interviews I've heard and good luck building an audience doing that. By the way when your in America asking questions, respect the place your in. That was your one chance with me, and I'm not investing another hour with you.

Not to change the topic, but there is a new news development coming out of mexico. It appears that some mexican thugs have kidnapped a profressor from Texas and has taken her to mexico. Now the question is what is this government going to do about it? Like Kid Rock says, war is never good, but sometimes it's nessesary. In the cases after cases of the mexican people and their drug cartels and lack of their gov responses to the problems they have and are still having I think it's about "DAM TIME OUR GOV DOES SOMETHING TO SUPRESS THIS CRAP WITH THAT CRAP-HOLE COUNTRY"!! I have been wanting to ask this question of CNN for ever. Whatever happened to all the excellent TV people in the U.S. with good old American english accent? Why is CNN hiring people with British english accents? There are too many of them. It is so annoying. Please don'tt think this is going to increase your ratings. Pierce Morgan is one such annoying personality with the annoying snobbish, english accent.

I love Piers Morgan's interview style and find his shows both interesting and enlightening. Although I wish he would not insert so much of his own political views into his questions , I learn a great deal from his interviews and will continue to watch. As a young American, not previously able to get myself hooked to any type of news show, I think Piers' style and mix of guests will attract and inform an entire generation.
