Yoko Ono: Japan has to bring out "the energy, resilience and wisdom that we have"

Yoko Ono was an exclusive guest on "Piers Morgan Tonight" this evening, and she spoke passionately about the people of Japan and what people around the world can do to help. "We have to start bringing out...the energy, resilience and wisdom that we have," she told Piers Morgan. "This country is going to, for the first time, become the kind of country that the whole world would envy."

Ono suggested Americans give to the Red Cross. As for what will come next in the country, Ono said: "With a big challenge I'm sure that some big, big beautiful result will happen."

I HAVE A BURNING QUESTION...WHERE WERE/ARE THE 68 COUNTRIES WHEN 200,000 + LIVES WERE LOST IN HAITI??? NO MATTER HOW,WHEN OR WHERE A LIFE IS LOST, IT IS ENORMOUS. BUT ISN'T IT SAD THAT ONE OF THE RICHEST NATIONS IN THE WORLD IS GETTING ALLTHIS HELP WHILE A POOR ONE, WITH LESS RESOURCES WONT?

Yoko has always been an opportunist and she continues in the same vein. Pathetic she would use such an event to gain face time. Piers looked like a moron playing to it.

I agree completely! Why does the media think we even care what so-called "celebrities" think ?

Hard to surpass the callousness of her comments about the wonderful architectural opportunities that this devastation has created!

Well then perhaps we should tell some in New England that it's "ideas" and not "idears." Give Piers a break, it's simply his accent.

Piers Morgan interviews are superficial and shallow and self promoting. Let the superb coverage of on the spot journalists replace his stiff upper lip snobbery and his inability to LISTEN !! And as a 45 year old married man he should at least have a degree of respect for his wife and family and stop staring at his women guests breasts and asking are the real.I watch the BBC for news and interviews, not Mr. Morgan.

Pathetic comments by Yoko, totally self serving and isolated. Very insensitive to "her" people.
Clearly, more money than education. Disgraced herself and CNN.
    Go to"Haiti" Yoko.

Think about who you are trying to reason about. She proved she has no class or positive influence when she recorded herself having orgasms in a record. Don't give her the time of day. The reason most people wear sunglasses when they are unnecessary is to hid the eyes and their effects from drugs.

Yoko.... Oh No! What the hell were you thinking Mr. Morgan! People are watching in horror, stunned and grieving, waiting for the next bit of news about our families, friends, and our sister nation. And then you bring on this inarticulate, sunglass sporting buffoon. What an insult to a devistated nation. This was a terrible call by some producer and a total loss of integrity for CNN (Celebrity News Network).
