How did Simon Cowell react to Piers Morgan in the interviewer chair two weeks ago today? He wrote about it yesterday in his weekly Daily Mail column.
Before we get to Cowell's reaction, here's how he described the howling wolf noise. "Ah,’ said Simon. 'That’s mine.' He giggled sheepishly. ‘It’s a wolf." Now, about that wolf noise...
Here's Piers' play-by-play of the show's introduction:
"Once Simon recovered, I tried to start the interview, but as I began reading the intro to camera, he intervened.
‘No, that doesn’t sound right. Do it again.’
‘Sorry? I think you’ll find it’s my studio, my show, and I’ll do it any way I want to.’
Simon stared at me in a frozen smile, suddenly sensing the last vestiges of his dictatorial power eroding faster than Mubarak in Egypt.
From then on, it was hilarious banter all the way, and he ended up giving twice as much time as he’d promised."

who cares who's on piers morgan tonight? honestly, this is who you replace larry king with? i've met larry king, and watched his show for years, now the time slot is filled with this trivial pop-journalist. christiana amonpour pretty much summed it up in her interview on the program a few weeks ago, when piers asked why she had been given the momar godafi interview instead of him. the baffled look on her face spoke volumes about this situation.....i don't know, maybe because she's actually a journalist....more importantly, he's heard of her and has no idea who piers morgan is.....just like the majority of americans. the simple fact, that christiana only appeared on the program via web-link, when she had taken the time just 2 days before to go onto stephen colbert's fo-news show on comedy central. what you should take away from this, professional journalists have more respect for stephen colbert, who rightly is a master of satire and interviewing, than piers morgan. honeslty, stop trying to fool the american public that this guy is a hard hitting journalist, jsut because he has an accent, doesn't mean he's more qualified. and if piers remains on the show, he definelty needs to learn the trade fast, because right now, aside from one crazed drug-fueled rant from the wild thing (charlie sheen – major leage refrence) that program is unbearable.
Please stop torturing us, Piers!! Air the Simon interview already!! We've been waiting over a week now!! The longer you wait, the less current it will be. Please give us a much needed break from the hard news and give us the Simon interview!!
