Astronaut Mark Kelly gave an update today on his wife, Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who he says is "improving every day, and in the realm of brain injuries that is very significant and pretty rare." Also, "she's starting to process some of the tragedy that we all went through in January."

"The government and authorities need to act quickly," he said.
Since the interview, help has arrived. Here is an excerpt of the letter another Soma City volunteer sent us today: FULL POST
Last night Piers Morgan's tribute to Elizabeth Taylor included an interview with Joan Collins, a friend and rival. "The last time I got a divorce she sent me a note and said 'I'm still ahead by three,'" Collins remembered. "Most women really liked her. She was a gal's gal."
Piers also talked to Taylor's step-daughter Carrie Fisher about her complicated relationship with the screen legend. FULL POST
