Last night Piers Morgan interviewed HLN host Nancy Grace as well as held a panel on the News Corp. scandal and future of media and newspapers specifically. He and Grace had a heated discussion about the Casey Anthony trial and coverage. "If that had happened the jury certainly wasn't listening to me," said Grace when Morgan brought up "trial by television," like in this case. "I have a lot more respect for my viewers than that."

I think Piers has some explaining to do about his self admitted phone hacking and why would CNN employ a phone hacker?
J. Hance, I found your statement alarming. I then watched Piers Morgan's video. Did you? Piers never hacked anyone's phone. He explained that people who do not change their password from the default to some other password leave their voicemail susceptible to anyone, and rhetorically asked whether this simple oversight is what had left the British royalty open to easy eavesdropping. Thanks to Piers, I checked my own cell phone to make certain I had not made this error. CNN showed the actual quote from Piers' book, and he did not advocate that people break the law and eavesdrop, nor did he state in his book that he had ever done such a thing.
Emil, thank you. Like many J Hance follows the inaccurate sound bites from the British Hearing. The women counsel member flat out liabled Piers saying "he hacked" As you note, Piers was redwing to being hacked himself, along with how folks don't change there 4 digit security code. In fact most dont lock there phones.
Hmm don't know where Nancy got her 2/3 of AMerica bit. She didn't poll anyone that I know. As yes, Nancy your a Disgrace, and your only viewers are trailer people that have nothing better to do. Uh, Nancy, did you not hear the STATE said oops, the Cache Back computer search was WRONG, and the jury found her not guilty, so I hope she sues you for saying that she is. I was very dissappointed in Piers Morgans interview with Nancy Grace. She is always talking about justice, and so many of her callers thank her for seeking justice...but Piers dropped the ball considering he is supposed to ask the tough questions. Why didnt he ask her about her troubles at the prosecutors office, HIDING EVIDENCE FROM THE DEFENSE in one of the cases she was prosecuting resulting in a MIS-TRIAL. She was cited for misconduct and she subsequenty left the prosecutors office for TV JUSTICE.(Wikipedia Nancy Grace) Piers....you should have pressed her on that. It is easier to try a case of tv when fairness is non-existant.
Fortunately, it's true that the jury was NOT listening to Nancy Grace, Jane Velez-Mitchell or any of the other media people who pronounced Casey Anthony's guilt long before the trial. The jury followed the law and voted according to their own evaluation of the case presented by the prosecution and the defense. Night after night, the pundits continue to pick the scab, trying to validate the viewpoint they've held since the beginning.
Whether we agree with the jury's verdict or not, we have to respect and accept it. If these media people would only move on, their fans might move on, too, and find positive ways to channel their anger.
NG needs to drop the Casey Anthony case and move on she and no one else can change to verdict, plus NG had Casey convicted from day one,, all NG keep repearting the Casey was partying and not telling the truth, but for that she served 4 years and now is a free lady. ITs easy for Nancy to come on TV and yell at her guests on her show if they dont agree with her, I know its her show show but if you dont agree she yells even more, I guess Nancy sold out for the big $$$$$ of TV
I loved the interview P.M. did with NG last night. What I don't understand is the Judge told the Jury what they could hear and what they couldn't so why doesn't she attack the Judge! What the Jury heard was the only decision they could make.

I am appalled at Nancy Grace. She has contibuted, primarily, to the hate histeria that has occurred over the case of Casey Anthony. And Pierce Morgan-– you can see the problem with suggesting anything to her. In my field, we call her a histrionic who has not dealt with her own issues. I watched only hoping you could set her in her place, however, as expected, that won't happen. She has castrated many males on her show beating them with psychological abuse that I am shocked a lawsuit has not occurred. Good try Pierce, I enjoy your intelligent questions with you guests. Amen to that! Nancy Grace is a dis-grace and this interview between her and piers was just another prime example of how obnoxious she is. Piers is 100% right, Nancy, is 100% WRONG. If it werent for her and her prejudged guilt before the trial even started. And her pounding of her opinions into the minds of society...I think the outrage of america would be a little less. There was no evidence to convict, and Nancy Grace should be fired. Yes, theres freedom of speech...but there also has to be something said for being the evil, opinionated pusher that she is. You do NOT convince society of guilt just because you feel she is guilty and this is exactly what Nancy Grace did. I find her obnoxious and disgusting and she needs to really never be assigned another "high profile trial" coverage again. Of course...you know, she asigns them to her self. Maybe people should begin to think about whether ng displays the same warped vindictiveness at home – to twin children. Usually, media people's tv personalities are the same at home, with somebody exposed to it daily, usually their children. Wouldn't it be great if HLN required ng to get therapy? Sadly, producers count on hate to sell gossip shows in the short run. It's wonderful and makes me feel hopeful to see so many people thinking as I do about hate being broadcast.

I TOTALLY AGREE.......!!!!!! But sadly, they're not going to stop...first their mission was to make sure that everyone hated Casey and found her guilty before she had her day in court. Now, their mission seems to be to find her and make sure her life is hell. Why can't they let go????? Why can't they leave her alone, and let life and God take care of her. It was pretty obvious that CNN was not going to spit in it's sister station HLN's dish and that they are happy with the ratings this hateful immature damaged woman (Nancy Grace) is getting them. Piers bit his tongue and did not address any of the neurotic stuff that was coming out of her mouth and even sucked up to her at the end with a baseless gushing acknowledgement. What happened to that "rediculist" mantra "keeping em honest"? What a joke. Eventually Nancy grace will be exposed for what she is and no one will say anything about it and move on to the next talking head they can make $ off of.
Any intelligent person who refuses to watch soap operas, are not tolerant of Nancy Grace. Her primary devotees are those who clearly are attracted to soap opera mentality. She does injustice to the legal system. I observed her on Larry King's show and it was clear she could not take in any objective opinions. I can guarantee she has not done any work on her personal truama, rather, has transferred her anger into her work making her a sad example of a legal advisor on anything.,
Nancy Grace needs to get off her high horse as if she's the only who actually knows what happened to Caylee. The prosecution didn't prove their case...period. If Nancy Grace is as smart as she tries to portray by shooting off her loud mouth and talking over the top of anyone she doesn't agree with, maybe then and only then, she would be able to see the forest through the trees. George Anthony's role in the case needs to be addressed and as far as I'm concerned, Roy Kronk messed with the evidence, just like Jose Baez stated. The prosecutions theory was ridiculous...chloroform, duct tape, Casey murdering her daughter, come on. How stupid does NG think we are?? I hope Casey gets her life together, studies to become a Paralegal (as was mentioned) and takes legal action against people like Nancy Grace who had her tried and fried before the trial. I don't understand the 31 days not reporting what happened to her daughter, but as I said I believe George Anthony was involved in the cover up and threw his daughter under the bus like the coward that he is. Hopefully, if Casey does do an interview, this will all be explained. Remember, she's had three years to mature and may be a very different person now than she was then. I believe she will bring justice to Caylee. It sure as hel won't be Nancy Grace!

a Google search of the word “chloroform” 84 times, the prosecution erred in their assertion regarding the computer search and knew they might be doing so prior to the conclusion of the Anthony trial.

Facts are of no interest to Nancy Grace . Reliving her victimhood over having a person in her life shot and punishing others 24/7 is a all she is about. This woman is truly scary. And that she is granted a platform to talk to a large audience is even scarier. Her trying to brand the term "totmom" to have the nation using one of her ingenious clever term and trying to turn another human being into a thing, is abhorrent. I'm very disappointed in Piers Morgan after last night's show in which he interviewed Nancy Grace. As usual, Nancy Grace ran over the host (where do they find these spineless wimps!). Piers had the perfect opportunity to expose this woman for what she really is-a liar and plagerizer who has no real concept of the law or how the jury system works, yet he didn't. I was really looking forward to having someone expose this woman for what she is by the great interviewer Piers Morgan to no avail. Goodby Piers, I'll watch someone else.
At least piers called it for what it was trial by television the defendant "who is now infamous" and the prosecution were hurt by her extensive coverage...no more trials by tv

I hear you!!! Pierce was one person I thought would put the B in her place, however, I must remember, HLN is a sister company of CNN. Larry King had her on, as well as, other legal consultants, and he would cut her off due to her anger ridden prejudicial consultation. However, I would watch Larry again and again- it was clear he was advised to back off and tolerate her.
I just hope he does not waist our time with her on his show again. That is my advice.
Media in America and Great Britain are very brutal. These media do not serve the people. Media destroy people. No man was so persecuted by the media as Michael Jackson. No man could stand such vicious attacks. Media have launched a campaign of hatred against an innocent man. Attacked in the cruelest way. They used his pure love for children against him. It was a peak of cruelty. He was a victim of violent media. Media must change for the good of us all.
Nancy Grace demonstrated her ignorance of history with the comment, and I paraphrase: "The Bill of Rights, something you Brits don't know about". Morgan made no challenge. Fact is, Britain has had a Bill of Rights since 1689, and the US Bill was largely based on it.
Glad you brought that up.You are so right...our Bill of Rights is based on the Magna Carta (virtually the same with different name) which, as you pointed out, is used in Britain. I would guess that Piers Morgan deliberately didn't stop to correct Grace. She constantly maintains control by interruptions and points of minutia. It's what that scourge on society does best. He was well aware that he would never control the interview...that's a given when this woman is involved. She lacks moral fiber and doesn't think ahead of her wagging tongue. At least one person committed suicide because of her relentless, unsupported accusations. CNN producers should re-think any decisions regarding Nancy Grace. I normally delete any recording that includes her. In this case, I forgot to stop the show before her appearance.
When she was being sued by the family of the lady that commited suicide, her lawyers wanted a gag order on the case.The reason being ....you can't get a fair trial with so much pre-trial publicity. Now thats a Hoot.

I agree with you 100%. As noted in my other post, only those who love soap opera mentality feed into her anger ridden, histrionic, Borderline mentality. I also record Piers Morgan's shows and almost deleted this one, however, I wanted to see how Piers handled her. He knew it would be impossible to contront her on anything-and he was right. Any suggestion of anything sent her into controlling the conversation. She discusts me. And, yes, she is the worst example of a legal advisor or an American. She discusts me.

Morgan was instructed not to challenge her, HLN is there sister stain. The show was staged. Behind closed doors, and to his friends after the show, he must have shuddered at her total lunacy.
Nancy Grace was incredibly snide and sarcastic answering soft ball questions. Freedom of speech shouldn't include spewing hatred towards a jury she doesn't agree with because they didn't agree with her. How disrespectful and childish was is. Nancy Grace's comment when the jury's verdict came in, "Well, the devil is dancing tonight". She was right. The devil is dancing on her shoulder because all the focus and attention from her, HLN, and the viewers (who turned a murder trial into a destination vacation/ event) and people aren't noticing or care about pervs hanging out at parks, or a kid being pulled kicking and crying in a car, or a child being abused. Nancy is the devil. Her type of justice is twisted and phony and doesn't include facts or respect.
She and the other tv show hosts at HLN are so obsessed and completely using Casey Anthony and Caylee Anthony (and the Anthony parents/brother) for their own ratings and fame and money. They talk about nothing that is fact. If Nasty's guests disagree with her or don't answer her questions (if they even get that far) she threatens them and starts calling them names while yelling and screaming. Makes me wonder how many trials she manipulated to go her way when she was a prosecutor.

Piers Morgan. What a piece of work. Can't believe he lambasted and called out a Member of Parliament on CNN OR that CNN allowed him to do so via phone tap-in. Why on earth would a once respectable 24-hour cable news channel even hire a Murdock type guy from a New York tabloid background? Makes you wonder how crazy and off the path things have gotten since the CNN takeover of a once promising experiment in cable news coverage. So this is now journalism? The crazy cast of characters at CNN gets curiouser and curiouser.
Of course working for the oh, so classy and respectable 'News of the World' would only employ those who have the highest standards of ethics and getting a story by facts and 'legitimate' sources and resources.
Usually, when someone denies strongly that they have never sunk low as to do anything that would be considered the tiniest sleazy and criminal to get a story, it's far more interesting (although many real hardworking journalists miss it) in what that person or persons don't say. They also usually dance around the questions by being "offended" by the fact that their veracity, and their reputation is being besmirched and ruined by "these unproven and false accusations".
Piers Morgan (who now acts as though he is a "legitimate" news man now that he works at CNN never said he made absolutely sure that all stories were fact based and achieved only by means of responsible journalism.
Piers Morgan, journalist with ethics? Hmmm. NOT. Just because he said he never participated in hacking, could mean he had others do it, or he watched someone do it. That way his hands are clean and he can blame others.
I still Like you Piers Morgan. I like the concept of your show. I have enjoyed most guest and interviews. Except for Nancy Grace, You tried to have a civil common sense discussion with her. But I think she thought she was promoting her show.. or rehearsing for it.. lol .. "Note for the future": Don't be nervous asking direct questions to these interviewees, put them in their place if they are rude. They are getting exposure and being paid well. Because of the size of CNN audience and it's false appearance of legitimacy and importnatce, i see CNN as the most harmful media machine on the planet. People already know the tabloids to ignore and who is just selling sensationalism but CNN is often mistaken for a series news provider. iIt is a few people spouting opinions and who happen to have very high production values . This new trend where Anderson Cooper singles people out and mocks people on his "rediculist" is one of the most obnoxious things I have ever seen. When they cut away to other talking heads, you can tell they are forced to smirk and go along in what amounts to smearing and gossiping about strangers for entertainment . As if such exposure does not harm others.
Piers understands the culture at the News Corp. They have, today, been cited for interference in the investigation. If one of Piers old colleagues folds, and admits to the pressure and the law breaking that has been endemic to that corporation, Piers will be ashamed of his defense. It's hollow, because he's defending the indefensible.
Piers is a great reporter and I like him. No matter what piers says to Nancy grace I am confident he also was appalled by the jury's verdict in the casey anthony trial. Although the media was all over this like white on rice, still they did not invent any of the evidence. The media just said what was found. Just because 12 people said she was not guilty, it does not mean the other 50,000.000. are wrong. The jury had it's head up it's A$$.
It's the jury's decision that matters not the 50.000.000 million people you think...may think like you. Did you count them? I guess not, so stop talking rubbish. And as for Nancy Grace, if I were her I'd change my name Grace into Disgrace...because that is what she is, a "Disgrace"!
When I see Nancy Grace I think about Michael Jackson. I think what he had to endure by media for so many years. It is so cruel. I also think about America.The whole machinery of the media in America was directed against this man. Michael was persecuted, humiliated, ridiculed by the media. No man could stand such attacks. First, I shudder to think what justice would ensue if Nancy Grace was a real judge. Her column generally hands out bad advice and it appears she can't think her way out of a paper bag. Somebody killed a child so somebody has to pay regardless of the evidence. Her grasp of the bill of rights is pathetic. Was Anthony guilty? Probably, but that isn't the standard the law requires. Even with junk science the prosecution couldn't prove its case. So a guilty person got away, that doesn't mean we trash the standard of beyond a reasonable doubt. Grace should stick to TV where she can't do much damage. If someone like the grandmother wants to stop Anthony from profiting from a book deal, file a civil suit like the one filed in OJ's case. Of course that requires actual legal knowledge which is something Nancy Grace lacks. I am a real lawyer for over 30 years and as a lawyer, Nancy Grace is a great tv motor mouth. Well actually she is a typical ultra conservative that renders judgment from her belief system rather than the facts or sound logic. For a lawyer that is both wrong and pathetic.

Nancy Grace is SUCH a drama queen! She's classic, that's for sure. She reminds me of someone who is always acting. Wow. Just watched Nancy Grace on Piers Morgan. What is with her? Why is she so defensive and condescending? She was entertaining for a minute, a few years ago. I commend Piers for keeping his cool with her. She really does not come across as a lawyer, nor does she come across as having much intellect. She needs to cheer up a little, and not be so hostile. I've seen her before where she just freaks out and takes things so personally that are not intended to be a personal attack. Whoooeee!!!
Why doesn't she want to acknowledge she made the Anthony trial her pet project, or however you want to phrase it? There was nothing wrong with doing that, nor was Piers even implying it. She doesn't have to beat Piers over the head after every question first before answering the question. I wonder how she behaves in restaurants.
Piers wanted to discuss some philosophical issues and she just totally blew it. She was too busy attacking Piers for being from the UK and treating him as if he was ignorant. I guess this is her modus operandi. I believe this really is her method of avoiding saying anything deep or intellectual, she instead attacks people as if they've asked her to donate her right arm to medical science.
I hate to say it, but she comes across as a bit of a wacko.
Nancy grace is a phony, I can't believe CNN ruined Headline News by making it a tabloid and putting that idiot in it. I can' t even believe she was once a prosecutor. She has no regards for the law. In the ace of C. Anthony, a jury found her not guilty and with what I know I would have done the same. She may have killed her little girl but really no one will ever know. There was not enough evidence to convict her and a jury believed that there was enough reasonable doubt not to convict her. Nancy Grace wants to be judge, jury and executioner, she makes me want to puke. Pierce should have been tougher and exposed her for what she is. Luckily, in this case justice prevailed, it's better for a murderer to go free than to execute an innocent.
It's time for Americans to wake up, stop listening to tabloid BS TV and Radio and start making the right decisions in their life, like electing the right politicians for example, not crazy extreme right or left politicians for example.

I really hope Casey Anthony's lawyers are advising her to sue Nancy Grace for everything she has. The court of public opinion will hopefully turn on Nancy Grace for the looney tune that she is.
Actually, I was sickened by the way the so called news channels ( CNN included) reported the Casey Anthony trial. I thought it was irresponsible and mean. We are in need for real news in this country no tabloid BS.

Nancy no matter what I am truly with you, Casey killed Caylee and I should have been a lawyer myself. Those 12 people are stupid and sick themselves not to see that this individual committed this crime without a doubt,but a blind man could. I have been watching this case for 3 years and put all the things together myself, but all the lies made me realize that she was GUILTY. Nancy Grace is a disgrace. CNN should be ashamed of itself for promoting her and her "vigilante justice". Accused persons are tried in a courtroom, not on television. CNN did not do itself or Nancy Grace and good by having her interviewd by another CNN employee, it only highlighted her true personality. I have been turning her off for years hoping that CNN would do the same but it seems that yellow journalism has won out over serious and objective reporting. A case has been tried, a jury has spoken, event over.
One good thing that comes out of Nancy Graces appearance is that both her, CNN, Piers are all exposed to be in bed together in pursuit of presenting any nonsense on the coat tails of any tragedy or disaster or threat to society in order to make billions. Otherwise, a silly dysfunctional character like Nancy Grace would not be given the air time she is. It is all about the $$$ Piers praising Nancy Grace' show and saying he watched it at the end of the interview was the icing on the cake and proved that either the interview was scripted or Piers is not too bright either.

According to Cindy Anthony, Caylee weight 40 pounds and was 3 feet tall. Caylee was found in the woods/swamp wrapped in a blanket, inside a canvas laundry bag, and in 3 plastic bags. After death a a body becomes dead weight. Casey weights around 90 to 95 pounds and is about 5 feet tall. How was Casey able to carry Caylee through the woods with tree limbs, bushes, twigs and garbage. How is it that not one person said that Casey had scratches on her neck,face,arms and legs. Casey did not throw her daughter there someone bigger and heavier than her did........Daddy/Jojo George Anthony did.........Impossible for Casey to do it.
When our garbage bags are heavy we do not carry them such as you claim Casay did when Caylee was dead weight, we drag them and that is easy to do. You say a blanket and three garbage bags along with a canvas bag encased Caylee, who was drug into the woods perhaps tareing the bags or the animals tore them when they ate the childs bones. Florida needs to get some jurors who have brains. This if little else is child abuse and isn't there a law against throwing bodies in the woods for burial? Where is the health department? THINK.....
If your loved one is murdered, Nancy Grace will NOT let the world forget. She will continue to dwell on who killed your loved one and not go around "wondering"...be glad.... Nancy doesn't give up.....you wouldn't.....but you couldn't do anything about it........
