Two of the big stories we'll be covering during tonight's live "Piers Morgan Tonight" at 9pmET are Hurricane Irene and Steve Jobs' resignation from Apple. Here's the latest from CNN's coverage of each story:
Irene: "Four governors declared states of emergency Thursday as Hurricane Irene threatened to wreak havoc along the United States' Eastern Seaboard."
Jobs: "Tim Cook has already stepped up to reassure Apple employees that the company isn't going to change, according to an internal e-mail."

i am follow you ,,,,,,,thank you,,,,nothink special but..
Dear Piers
If N.Y.has the misfortune to be hit be Irene. the same group of religious extremist will blame, once again ,God's malcontent for " marriage equality for all".
Not surprisingly, these are the same people that refused to comprehend the possibility of global warming !!!
I was just watching Piers Morgan show to get update on hurricaine...I was terribly offended by how he interrupted the woman who was talking about evacuation for Long Island, to let a guy basically say what she was about to say...Of course, you can't evacuate all of Long Island! She was about to say that everyone needed to get inland...How I detest when men think they know better...who makes them think they think better? I just cannot stand it!
Does anyone know what the name and location of the fountain that was shown during Sam Champion's segment?
Why are you playing the song "Eileen" for the report on Hurricane Irene? Not the same name, hello!!!!!!!!
Come on... It's "Come on ILENE" not Irene! (Ilene hit the Bahamas & Fla '99 or"00)
Thank you Sam Champion for being the voice of reason and the proper level of concern (that's because he used to be a local NY meterologist). The doomsday scenarios being discussed for NY are getting a little hysterical....
The woman who talked about evacuating Long Island is obviously not from this part of the country.
All the people who talk about this being the storm of our lifetime must be younger than 26 when Hurricane Gloria hit Long Island as a strong category 2 – now that was a storm.
Compare Steve Jobs to Bill Gates
Steve Jobs is dyslexic and therefore designed for dyslexics, therefore his perceived brillance is a result of his being LD
Piers' show is turning into nothing but a "warm up" for Cooper's 360. It's about the hurricane....Anderson's will be about the hurricane, our Canadian late night news will be about the hurricane.....of course it's serious...but why not leave those items to Cooper and get on with interrupting your guests, expressing your opinion on everything and continuing to make your show basically all about you...............and don't forget to cut off your interviews so abruptly the interviewees are almost in mid-word. I'm not as avid a viewer as I was when Larry was driving the boat..........
How will the storm surge affect the Twin Towers construction site? Is flooding possible?
Piers Plays "Come on EILEEN" as Hurricane IRENE heads toward US......That explains a lot!!! Not sure this is the man I would listen to for quality "journalism"...And he certainly must not be a quality (former) meteorologist or he would remember the name of the current hurricane...Something to think about...
Sorry about the meteorologist comment (my mistake...I can admit it)...even as a quality journalist, he should remember the name of the current hurricane...Everything else stands as printed. Again, sorry for the mistake.
Like or dislike Steve Jobs, he changed the world forever. His accomplishments has influenced literally billions of people. He changed the way the world communicates, works and entertains. In my opinion he is one of the top ten important people of the last 100 years!
Maybe I just haven't read enough of the numerous articles about Steve Jobs and his retirement, but do we actually know WHY he decided to retire? I know his past medical issues. And honestly out of concern for him, I wondered if anyone knew if he was retiring due to a specific illness, either from the past or something new... Or, has he just worn himself into the ground too much, and it is time to take it easy?
Piers ruins his interviews by constantly interrupting his guests in an attempt to focus attention upon him.
Is there a way to send someone a link of your airing of tonight's weather forecast?
Piers, Do you know if or LADY OF LIBERTY will servive Irene?
I agree that Karen Clark was cut off rudely tonight and should have been given an opportunity to rebut the comment regarding her credibility. However, she did seem to be off course and Sam did offer some more sound advice. After looking up Ms. Clark and learning that her angle on catastrophe is that of risk management to corporations, I think it is safe to say that she was not the right fit for this segement. Piers and co. should take more time to vet these guests and insure that they are prepared to answer from the angle that the segment is directed. In this case, those in the public safety management sector would be a much greater fit than an expert from the insurance industry. Let's hope all of the public safety experts on Long Island are working too hard to night to chat with Piers. Stay safe!
Piers does a fair job of interviewing. He should try not to interupt when they are speaking. But it seems that this is the mode for most interviewers these days. I guess some people are too long winded and they have to cut them off due to time requirements. I like Piers I think he is an honest man. Reports what is true. I watch some of his guests who come on. Some don't interest me.
I enjoy watching when you have interesting guests and interviews. You often ask interesting questions, then you don't allow your invited guest to answer the questions!!! Your constant interruption tells me that you think what you have to say is more important than what your guest has to say. I just change the channel. Add your name and show to Anderson Rediculist list!
