It is hard to define who exactly Seth MacFarlane is. TV Producer. Movie Director. Singer? Mostly recognized for his animated comedy triumvirate: "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show," which are each starting new seasons on FOX, the accomplished MacFarlane has never been one to stay in the lanes.
He just finished production on his debut movie "TED," starring Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis, to be out summer 2012, and has a debut music album out, "Music is Better Than Words," that was released last month. Through it all, he goes after his projects with a joke or two not too far behind.
But there's more to MacFarlane than his comedic wit – he is very well versed in current affairs, as his shows suggest. As a supporter of the Democratic Party, MacFarlane is not shy about discussing the nitty-gritty of American politics.
There may be a few things you don't know about the 37-year-old triple threat, like the reason he missed American Airlines Flight 11 that flew into the north tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, and his special comedic relationship with his mother.
