READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
Piers Morgan's hour-long interview with new GOP front-runner Herman Cain airs tonight, 9pmET, and the candidate talks about race and growing up in the South, his views on gay marriage and abortion, his battle with cancer and much more. He also gives his take on the rest of the GOP field. "Speaker Gingrich and Governor Romney are the two that I have the greatest amount of respect for," he says. "That I would feel comfortable if I did not get it."
And who does he respect the least?
"I don't believe Representative Ron Paul would be a good president," he tells Piers Morgan. "If you listen to his position on a lot of things, it's always, let's throw out the baby with the bathwater."

Herman Cain is just butthurt because Paul keeps calling him out on being a former Fed executive and having a terrible tax plan that will raise taxes on the middle and lower classes.
From the looks of this blog, Ron Paul might have a chance of winning the presidency. He has never changed his position over the years. About the only honesty we have seen in politics. And, makes more sense than the rest of the politicians, including Obama. My vote will be for Ron Paul.
PS I believe Cain is as dishonest as a politician can get.
I agree. I've never seen any presidential candidate say he was misquoted or was just joking or didn't mean that, like Herman Cain. On the flip side, Ron Paul has my vote for being a change that might actually work and for appearing to be an ethical leader.
Ain't gonna happen!
THIS is crazy. Ron Paul might not be president, but he will leave a standing legacy as he was the one that helped save the AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS from the destructive nature of hyperinflation. And it just so happens that a former chairman of the FED, HERMAIN CAIN, has no respect for him? BONKERS!
i hope he does win. The last thing we need is another politician who lies his butt off to get in office. But as long as the media keeps ignoring him like this his name and ideas are not going to reach to make enough supporters. Heck i heard his name on accident when i was looking at stuff online. Down with this lying media.
What are you talking about. Hermain Cain is too honest. Thats his problem in this race.
I agree completely. If Ron Paul does not win the GOP nomination, we are requesting absentee ballots and writing in his name. We REFUSE to let the MSM pick our candidate of choice.
I'm looking forward to Obama trouncing this moron.
Ron Paul all the way, i dont trust anyone aligned with bush, obama ..all puppets...Ron Paul!!
..all puppets...Ron Paul!! lets try someone talking real talk for once, not what we want to hear!
Cain just outed himself as an establishment candidate. Just like that greasy Michael Grimm, they lead you to believe that they are conservative, then they become apologists for fat cats. Herman Cain has puffed up quite a bit since Florida and his true colors are starting to show. Think about his snarky answer about auditing the Fed. If he is that arrogant serving as a chair on some regional Fed, think about how he would be as president. LET THEM EAT CAKE! if I had my way, not only would I throw the baby out with the bathwater, I would prosecute everyone from top to bottom that squandered our tax money first.
Joe, you are right and I love that you used the word "butthurt" lol
Ok, this is off of this topic, but what is up with the new Herman Cain ad with his chief of staff?!!!
I was waiting for the "Sopranos" theme to que and then?... my imagination ran wild!
Yes, and how stupid for this guy to say this. Let us not forget for a second that Mr. Cain was the head of the Federal Reserve Bank in a major city. Cutting government is supposed to be what Republicans are all about. The only reason he is getting any air time is because the desperate Republicans are floating his balloon because he's black and maybe has a chance against Obama. In this interview, he just lost hundreds of thousands of votes. I'll write in Dr. Ron Paul AGAIN before I would vote for Obama or Cain.
if by baby you mean our increased government spending and bailouts..and by bathwater you mean federal beauracrats...then yes I think you're right, he does want to throw both out...
All the more reason to vote Paul
And the more Cain talks, the less I respect him. I'm voting for Paul and taking everyone with me.
Cain is a fail and facepalm.
A former Fed executive who doesn't like Ron Paul? How shocking. Vote Ron Paul in 2012.
The more you hear HC talk, the dumber you get.
Piers Morgan Lets hear what Run Paul has to say. We all have heard from the others three OVER AN OVER . Lets hear from some one (Ron Paul) who could make all the difference we all need Now!!
Ron Paul always says "let's END the 2 wars,,Nooooooo one listens to him.....the others do not talk @ the wars,,90 billion a month it;s costing,,horrible,,,,,the USA could use the money to help the poor & middle class ,,,,
Agreed. No pointless wars + lower federal budget = lower necessary taxes. This isn't difficult to understand.
Mr. Cain's 15 minutes are up. He has shown that he is part of the problem not the solution. Dr. Paul is a gentleman and a scholar
Ron Paul will get my vote over Obama any other GOP candidate i will vote vote Obama or indy.
WRITE IN RON PAUL!!!
If he doesn't get the nomination, I'll be writing him in. Can't make myself vote for another of the media-endorsed puppets any longer.
I will write in Ron Paul also because he is anti-war, I had hoped to be able to support Romney..but I will not support anyone who agreed with the illegal invasion of Libya..which reportedly resulted in the deaths of 50,000 Libyan civilians and the announced reintroduction of Sharia Law.
If necessary, I'll be writing Ron Paul's name into my ballot. I vote absentee. I hope there is a canvasing plan ready to go to get voters out for the primary. It is the only way to displace the establishment.
He has a better chance at getting on Dancing with the stars!
Keep trolling, Paul just raised nearly what Cain raised in the third quarter in less than 24 hours. That's a fact and not speculative trolling.
If Ron Paul didn't receive the GOP nomination, I was considering voting for Herman Cain. But after this statement, I've lost all respect for the man. He just gave a defacto endorsement to Mitt Romney of all people. These men are far from conservative and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence with a patriot like Ron Paul.
2012, Ron Paul or NONE AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!
And this is exactly why Ron Paul is sounding better all the time. The more Herman Cain talks, the lower his ratings will go. Keep on talking Herman.
This may be the only thing I ever agree with Herman Cain on, but he's exactly right. Ron Paul's solution to everything is to eliminate it. Kill any department we don't like, and the hell with the consequences. Besides, who needs OSHA? The EPA? The Department of Education? Financial regulations? Nah, screw 'em.
Are you kidding me. Cain is a deviant show horse. His plan is going to do more damage to this economy and us poor folks then Ron Paul cutting every department. Who needs corrupt gov. But I guess you think that Cain is the man cause he says so. Anyone with brains could look at what this plan would do. If you still cant see it go to Canada and see how much tax you spend on a burger and fries. What a joke this guy is. Ron Paul 2012 or Obama wins.
I've been to Canada. It's nice, and my burger and fries were both tasty and affordable, thank you very much. It's kind of dumb to use the country directly north of us as a bogeyman, because it's pretty easy to go there and see that it's not the horrible place you imagine it to be.
No one who disagrees with Ron Paul is for incompetent government. The problem you're missing is that the Republican party has made it their policy for the past few decades of putting incompetent people into government. Hence the Katrina debacle – the leader of FEMA was W's old buddy, and a campaign contributor. This is what's called cronyism, the practice of putting your friends and campaign donors into positions of power instead of picking the right person for the job. The Democrats do it too, but they tend to be more subtle about it.
It's not that we need to get rid of government agencies, because even the ones that Ron Paul doesn't cut will still have cronyism making them bloated, unfair and unworkable. There are only two actual solutions to cronyism: preventing it from happening or full-on anarchy. I'm for the former, but even the latter makes more sense than arbitrarily removing social programs without addressing the root cause of their failure. If anything I think we should abolish political parties and make government appointments all by direct citizen vote – that way we'll have a government truly of, by and for the people, without small groups making the decisions for us behind closed doors.
Just a quick follow-up: I actually think direct democracy would work out better for you personally; it's painfully obvious that the establishment in the Republican party has no interest in seeing a Ron Paul nomination. If he could run without swearing allegiance to a party – particularly since neither of the big two really capture his political view – he might have a real chance at being president. I honestly believe he has no chance in our current system because it's rigged, not because he's unpopular. Mind you I disagree with a number of his views, but I don't like the idea of someone other than the American people making that decision for us!
So, by opposing his plans, you are saying you are pleased with the way the government takes our money and spends it, and borrows it so taxpayers get to pay it back? That you trust the government to do what's best for Americans? That we need 5,000 bureaucrats sitting in the Dept. of Education telling the states what they must do and paying them off if they obey?
Paul's got more reasons to want to abolish those programs or agencies than Cain is aware of. Or course Cain is not going to research them, but he uses the word reform wish sounds nicer but doesn't nearly accomplish anything.
And Jeff it wasn't to subtle for Obama reappoint Fed chairman Bernake for a second term. If the foundation of these agencies are based on flawed logic that centralized power can make better decisions than the people of a state or locality, then shouldn't that be the best basis to abolish them.?
Question the decision to scrap the Department of Education? Research a woman by the name of Charlotte Iserbyt, and the extensive research she has done pertaining to the education system of this country going back several decades, then decide whether or not the DoE should continue to exist, at least in its present form.
Paul, can't kill these departments. He needs the Congress to vote on their elimination. If we elect Paul, the congress should follow the people's will and end these unnecssary departments that waste money and infringe on our freedoms.
What Paul can do without the Congress is end the wars and repeal executive orders. He can also veto wasteful spending and economy killing regulations.
seems to me my education was better before todays youth got stuck with the department of education running things. What else seemed better back then? EVERYTHING.
Find out exactly how America got into this mess, then stand by the veracity of that claim.
Regulations, anti trust, mandates, rent seeking lobbyists go some way to proving how preposterous your system already is without further governance.
It's just Mr. apples and oranges speaking here. He doesn't even understand his own tax plan, yet he trashes another candidate who has a good plan and can also explain it. Mr Cain will increase our taxes, add another 9 percent on top of what we already pay to the state, but he didn't even know that until it was pointed out to him. What a joke Cain is. Not to mention his close ties with the FED!!!
I agree that many agencies can be reformed, the ones that Paul suggests reducing or eliminating(in his plan) are just fat.
Ask someone what life was like before these agencies that keep us safe, happy, healthy, restricted, etc. existed. The answer will be "I felt safer, happier, healthier, and more free."
And the elimination of foreign aid, foreign wars, and foreign military bases couldn't hurt either.
Yes, I felt more secure, safer, healthier and free. I look into the past and wonder at the loss of my freedom. I was taught that America was the home of the free and the brave. No more it seems.
I dont know Im a little bias towards OSHA when they fined me and the other 4 guys for not having safty lines when we were on the roof. Didnt matter that it was more dangerous to have to worry about lines taking out a guy's feet. Which it did when we got tired of paying fines. So yeah trim away. I figure that I have the most interest in not falling. So if I take the risk to work quicker and safer in my opinion why should I pay the gov money because some guy who never worked on a roof says I have to. Trim Paul trim. Ron Paul 2012
The question is what is the proper role of the federal government. Perhaps some of these agencies provide some useful services to the public, but at what cost? Allow the states to handle these functions if they are truly important.
Just say: Nein! Nein! Nein!
Can someone there please have piers stop interrupting all of these people he interviews. He asks questions and then when an answer gets started he interrupts them. I just watched for 10 minutes and piers talked for 9 and a half of those minutes. Let the person answer please. A wise interviewer once said, ask a question in one sentence or don't ask anything. Please bring back Larry King.
He interrupts him and/or talks over him because every time Cain opens his mouth, he makes a fool of himself. In my opinion, the media should give Ron Paul a chance to speak. There is a man with some ideas I can get behind. Why the media blackout? Are they really that afraid of him? Solid money. Less government. Less bombs, more schools. A lot of people (I assume) immediately dismiss him without taking the time to think about why he takes the stance that he does on foreign policy, gold standard, etc.
Piers Morgan thinks he is a star of significant magnitude – or some damn thing.
Corporate media will never do that. It is owned by the likes of Romney, Obama and Cain.
Can we get the full Piers/Cain interview ?
Paul owned Cain in last nights debate. He had Cain stuttering and backtracking on OWS and why we are in this mess. He was the one candidate that recognized OWS's valid beef. It was a thing of beauty.
Also, Paul has raised nearly two million dollars TODAY from his latest money bomb. And that money is coming mostly from individuals like me rather than corporations. That speaks volumes.
Really poor filters here. I can say butthurt but not names or actions that are not controversial or profane? Strange.
CAIN WANTS TO CUT OUT SOCIAL SECURITY ? OH NO ,,,,,,,NEVER HEARD OF GODFATHER'S PIZZA BEFORE ,,ANY COMMENTS ??..WHERE ARE THEY LOCATED ?..
Vote for Hermain Cain and in 4 years when nothings changed, don't blame Hermain Cain...blame yo self!
Keep sayin' it loud & clear, Adam. Winston Churchill once said that the greatest argument against democracy is a five-minute conversation with the average voter. We can only hope that the pain has been sufficient so that the electorate that was dumb enough to elect Obama is now smart enough to vote for Ron Paul.
Ask him who paid for his surgery. Take a look at the bs Highmark are pulling in Pittsburgh. Half a billion net profit last year with the biggest tax breaks and tthey won't negotiate....
Don't understand the 'Highmark' reference. Who did pay for his surgery? The taxpayers?
Mr. Morgan – You need to let your guest finish answering your questions. You seem more interested in what you're saying than what your guests have to say. Stop interrupting before they can finish a sentence.
Ain't that the truth!
I was going to vote Cain but after Ron Paul winning last night's debate and after this interview I think I will be voting for Ron Paul.
Watching the interview with Cain and cannot believe his arrogance. He thinks he grew up poor. I would like to get him in a room with me for a couple of hours. He doesn't know what poor is in reality. Lunches made from meal left overs? How about no left over to make lunch out of let alone $0.25 for a school lunch. He has no concept of reality on any issue. The scary thing is that he thinks he knows everything.
Cain is just a rich black puppet for the GOP. He was picked because he was black, he had the gift of gap and so he would take just a third of the vote away. Thats all the GOP needs to get obama out. I perdict cain will go as far as GOP LETS HIM
Cain will go as far as WE let him.
Cain has already gone as far as he's going to go.
Im black and I could tell he knew nothing about struggling he didnt have lunch money because his parents were cheap. Where is his family?
I am white and I too know about a lack of lunch money or even a lunch, or much else for that matter. I am staying focused on stopping the damn politicians and big money from grinding me into the ground further than I have already been buried. I fully intend on surviving this mess that the BIG MONEY INTERESTS buried us in and intend to fight this corruption to their end.
Piers Morgan, I do occasionally enjoy watching your show, but I hate it when you constantly interrupt your guests. Which wasn't only the case with charming Herman Cain. That's neither good journalism nor polite. Not to mention immensely annoying! Let them at least finish their sentences!
BLACKTHISOUT.COM!!! Everyone visit! Ron Paul has already raised close to 2.5 million.......now why isn't THAT on CNN?
Its simple its not coming from the corporation that owns any media outlet. Its coming from the Paulie fans like me $50 bucks at a time. Ron Paul 2012 the only statesman advocating a pay downgrade, ever!!!!!!!
This is really refreshing to see all posts pro-Ron Paul.
RON PAUL 2012
I will be voting in my primary for Ron Paul!
You may be poor now, but if we elect Herman Cain, you will soon be "PO"
former Federal Reserve Bank Chairman of KC
Pure Puppet Candidate of the Neocons
the Hermanator and his Cain Train
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate with honesty, integrity AND a sound plan. Everyone else is full of hot air and false promises. He's got my financial support and my vote!
When Cain says he wants to fix things, he means fix them in a way so we are fooled into thinking things are not corrupt anymore, so the cronies can continue to get paid.
When Dr. Paul becomes president, he will need our support to protect him from the murdering war mongers. his unwavering devotion to stop political thieves has always been over-ridden by the same. Dr. paul said he is more than willing to be the one to represent all americans. I like that statement. He got rid of groups and made us all individuals. I cant help but to love this man. This is the time and age to get out of your comfort zone before you loose it. Dr. Ron Paul has my full and undivided attention and has secured my vote.
Ok someone asked above what is Godfather pizza...and so I looked it up hahahaha. You guys will not believe where the majority of those chains are......some one please guesss
"Spoken like a true insider..."
Thank you, mr. Cain for your endorsement of Dr. Paul. Your daily flip-flops have taught me that you believe the opposite of what you say.
The idea that you want to 'fix' big government is admirable – the only fix, however, is complete abolishment of all unnecessary branches of government.
Cain is part of the FED which many people want to end. That is why he said those things about Dr Paul. Cain does not have 1/4 the brain power that Ron does. Cain would be terrible for America like Obama is. Romney, Perry, and Bachmann would also be abysmal for America also. ONLY DR PAUL would get us on the right track.
Yet once again Cain opens his mouth and loses the respect of hundreds well done Mr. Cain.
Ron Paul 2012 the only real choice America has.
What differentiates Ron Paul from all of the other candidates is that he gives specific, detailed answers and solutions to our problems. The others simple respond with hollow phrases or never give specifics about what they will do to create new jobs, fix housing, Wall Street, etc... Im voting for Ron Paul because I believe he is honest and has real solutions to the problems we face. He also has not flip flopped ever over all the years hes been in politics.
What if the baby in the bath is "Rosemary's baby?
"There's no hidden secrets going on in the Federal Reserve to my knowledge." – Herman Cain
Oh but wait didn't the Government Accountability Office (spearheaded by Ron Paul on this issue) find out in a partial audit that the FED loaned an unreported $16 trillion dollars to unidentified overseas parties during the 2008 crisis?
Here's the deal Cain: We'll consider your 9-9-9 tax plan AFTER a Paul presidency.
(Shhhh, don't tell Cain we'd likely no longer need an income tax after a Paul presidency - or an alternative to it.)
Hahahahahahahahaha Love It!!
Ron Paul is the only one that wants to make changes. Sticking with the status quo will doom this country.
My vote will be for the most consistent man on capital hill – Rep. Ron Paul.
Cain was my 2nd or 3rd choice, after Ron Paul of course, but after reading about this interview has slid to the bottom of the heap. What a President who understands economics and has the integrity to release the government's grasp on your liberty? How about the only one in the field who predicted the market crash and the only one who has remained consistent for 30+ years, and that person is Ron Paul. Ron Paul 2012!
You may disagree with Ron Paul, but to say you don't respect him says you don't respect honesty and commitment to principle.
Cain is a joke candidate being desperately promoted as the second horse in the race. He's collapsed faster than Perry.
CNN needs to wake up and read the comments on its own articles. There is tremendous support for Ron Paul, yet CNN flatly refuses to give him any air time especially at the debates. The Communist News Network needs to run a story about Ron Paul
I agree 100% where is the news coverage on Ron Paul a real hero of 2012. The only one that can get us out of this big mess , we are all in.. When he Ron Paul does get to speak he has a PLAN unlike any of the other puppets he has no strings being pulled . He is one of US. .a true American.
This is great, a Herman Cain interview and pro Herman Cain outlet, pro Herman Cain headline. Then you start to read all these comments and there is only one person that seems to be supporting Herman Cain, the rest is all Ron Paul supporters, and that is amazing to me! Truly inspiring to me since I like in Alaska and our Votes for Presidency doesn't count at all. It is great to see the rest of the country pushing for him, and yes, if he doesn't get nominated by the Republican Party, I will write his name in...and will urge all my friends to also...Ron Paul 2012
From Alaska as well and Ron Paul has my vote! I'm excited for this election.... EVERYONE of the GOP candidates are idiots, except Ron... Makes the choice so much easier for people who cannot make up their minds.
MR. BOWMAN...I NEED HELP WITH THE WORD "TROOP" A TROOP IS MORE THAN ONE. CNN DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THIS. This is demeaning to our soldiers as they are "protecting" us.
Troop = more than one soldier
Trooper....means one soldier
Troops means more than one times amount of soldiers per individual troop
I ask all America to UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THE WORD TROOP...YOU CAN HELP!!! FOR SOME REASON I CHOSE YOU TO SEND THIS TO NEWSCASTERS WHO NEVER WENT TO COLLEGE...OR EVEN HIGH SCHOOL...THEY CAN'T GET IT RIGHT....ITS NOT FAIR FOR OUR SOLDIERS...OR TROOPS....OR TROOPERS....THANKS....BART
Sure I like Ron Paul and his son Rand too. But crazy about businessman Herman Cain and supporting him 100%.
You might want to check out the polls. I am not alone!
Hi Janis, aka, person who works for Herman Cain...You may notice that Dr. Paul has real supporters because we have looked at his site, and the other candidates, and there is no comparison. Ron Paul has been right for years, and now we have to choose which way we want to go. I choose liberty over bankruptcy. What part of the budget does Cain want to cut? Oh, that's right, he won't say, because he's just like everyone else. Vote Paul.
Wow, an hour for Herman Cain? Hey, Piers Morgan, DO AN HOUR WITH RON PAUL! Maybe we could all LEARN SOMETHING. I'd love to see a serious hour long interview with the ONE candidate who DOES NOT FLIP FLOP and ACTUALLY PREDICTED THIS EXACT CRISIS IN GREAT DETAIL REPEATEDLY FOR SEVERAL YEARS. Want ratings? Do something the other networks don't do: TAKE RON PAUL SERIOUSLY.
I want to see more of Ron Paul, he makes the most sense and more likely to give us change we need. I don't see the country heading in the right direction with anyone but Ron Paul.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I look at the people who allowed the income tax to be implemented as a generation of idiots. Maybe they just weren't paying attention, and for that I should cut them some slack. But I find that difficult. They were idiots and we are paying for their foolishness.
That having been said, If we allow a national sales tax along with an income tax – we will rightly be cursed until the ned of this nation as morons, or worse.
Cainsian economics = Military Keynesianism + Domestic Keynesianism + more regressive taxes on the poor and the middle class. 9-9-9 is just a starting point for liberals, when they get back into control, after the Cain administraion. J-K-L can have any value, even just after two years, Congress can change it.
Herman Cain – directly responsible for $3 trillion of our national debt, doesn't respect Dr. Paul.
I can't imagine someone whose opinion I value less. When the FED is audited and disbanded, I'm certain Mr. Cain's activities on their behalf will have earned him a place hanging from the highest flagpole in town. End the FED and make an example of those who wielded its influence for their private gain.
When Mr. Cain says he wants to "fix" a lot of things, rather than "eliminating" them, clearly eliminating the entire federal tax code and replacing it with 9-9-9 doesn't count.
Or am I confusing apples and oranges???
For a man who claims to have devised a "simple" tax code, he sure has a complicated way of explaining it.
Haha. Sensing some sarcasm about the simplicity of 9-9-9...
The 9% corporate flat tax on "gross income" would have tremendous repercussions throughout the economy. Because the tax is levied against "gross income" it would necessarily have to be passed on to the consumer, whereas, under the present system of only taxing profit, businesses do not have the same incentive to pass their corporate taxes onto the consumer. A 9% national sales tax and the effects of the 9% corporate tax will adversely impact those who spend the greatest percentage of their annual earnings, i.e. the middle and lower class.
Amazing that this business "genius" doesn't understand his own tax plan... As Cain continues to be in the spotlight, 9-9-9 will not hold up to scrutiny and will ultimately be his downfall. As it should be.
I do weekly signbombs in my city. I get many friendly honks, waves, and glances.
Make a meet-up group in your area. Talk to your friends etc ,etc ,etc.
Do your part for Ron Paul !
Ron Paul 2012!
Herman Cain is the new Barack Obama –
without the "Hope & Change" hypnotic mantra.
you want Hope and Change ?
vote Ron Paul.
Also from ABQ, also supporting Ron Paul.. Herman Cain is a total shill, just like the rest of the field.. Listen up MSM, its Ron Paul or None at All in 2012, do yourself a favor and get with the program..
Herman Cain criticizes Ron Paul because he's running _scared_ knowing that Paul is the only candidate who is ethical and principled. Herman Cain is ignorant and unqualified to be president. Dr. Paul, on the other hand, has presented an honest and effective plan that will do what's necessary to bring this country back to firm footing. Dr. Paul is what this country needs and has what it takes to get the job done; the rest of the lying, mudslinging GOP field will continue to slander him and lie right along with the media to try to beat him down. It's up to you and me to get Dr. Paul's rational, intelligent message out.
What a joke. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that actually means what he says. Cain, Romney, Perry, Bachman, and Santorum are NEOCONS.
Amazing, Cain says Ron Paul just throwing things out is not fixing things. He is so blind Maybe if he reads these comments from real American People like I did where 90% are pro Ron Paul then maybe he would agree that things are so bad that they DO Need to be just thrown out!
So sad, Ron Paul sees the real problems and points them out with true facts. Cain was with the Fed then says Greenspan was the best Fed head LOL! Even the whole crowd laughed out loud at his dumb comment.
The only reason Cain is on top now is because the elite see how their Butt Buddy Perry lost all respect when his facts came out on tv so they think Cain is the next best thing to push their agenda. His facts and truths are coming out now as well and soon he will fall. He is doing this for Book sales and they are using him as a prop to sell their agenda Simple. Viva Ron Paul.
9-9-9 is just a dumb idea and I'm glad some people are starting to see that instead of doing what the media wants them t odo and "oh yea 9-9-9 I can follow that, sounds fair!"
Some people say Ron Paul’s plan to abolish the Department of Education is too "extreme" and that his ideas are too radical and will inhibit American society, here is my reply to this:
"Perhaps the sentiments contained in the following pages, are not yet sufficiently fashionable to procure them general favor; a long habit of not thinking a thing wrong, gives it a superficial appearance of being right, and rallies at first a formidable outcry in defense of custom. But the tumult soon subsides; time makes more converts than reason."
This is the first paragraph written in a revolutionary pamphlet called [common sense] by Thomas Paine who was an American revolutionary. He received no formal education beyond the confines of his small Quaker community and certainly not government funded, he was largely self educated, yet his words are written with an eloquence so rarely seen today. I ask all of you who read this to heed the content of this writing because I believe that we are amidst a revolution of our own in this country, a revolution where we will either choose to keep conforming to what the political establishment lays in front of us or we utilize our rights as free Americans to vote into office representatives that can put this country back on the road to prosperity. I believe the man to lead this charge is Ron Paul, read what about him and what he stands for, EDUCATE YOURSELF before you decide to vote. I leave you with this:
"Every person of learning is finally his own teacher" -Thomas Paine-
Let us hear less of these corporate shills and more of what America actually wants. I think it's safe to say we want more liberty and less oppression. We want more free markets and less corporatism. We want more sanity and reason and less anti-intellectualism.
I may not speak for everyone, but I do speak for quite a few when I say we want more Ron Paul.
Cain's credibility is shot, but the media is still trying to make him king.
Wow, really encouraging to see all the pro Ron Paul comments. And I have to agree, I have lost alot of respect for Cain in the last few weeks. I bet after Cain falls in the polls like Perry did it will be Paul who will have the next surge, only his won't be temporary!
Where are all you awesome Paul people at on the other articles?! You've all made my night :D
Ron Paul will help the people of this country by bringing foreign aid back to this country. You cannot help others if you cannot help yourself. Ron Paul 2012!
Pffffft... Cain is a joke. He acts like he gives two craps about the common man, but he's neck deep into the establishment. He's a sell out just like the rest of those political hacks, besides Ron Paul and Gary Johnson of course. If Cain ever became POTUS, look forward to another decade of wars, more subsidies to corporations, and more tyranny.
I will take Cain's lack of confidence in Ron Paul as a HUGE PLUS!
Considering this is a man who's judgement led him to support TARP, say a Fed audit was "ridiculous", propose a tax plan that opens up a whole new revenue stream for the Federal Government to exploit, and say his favorite Fed Chairman was Alan friggin' Greenspan, I'd say Paul could do without his endorsement, thank you very much!
This Federal Reserve banker shill is threatened by Ron Paul just like the rest of them are. Cain is up there to sell books and get on the Romney ticket as VP. It's a calculated attempt to put a black man on the Republican side to level the playing field against Obama.
It used to be about North and South, now it's that as well as race or gender. Look at the last two elections... There's been a race to see who can make "history" by electing a black man or a woman. Not saying that's in itself a bad thing, but it is when the ones selected to represent these groups are just as bad as the alternatives they seek to replace.
The establishment is flailing around looking for a Republican that can nullify Ron Paul's climbing support while challenging Romney and his obvious "good ol boy" standing.
They thought Bachmann was it, but she comes across cold and with nothing but talking points.
They thought Perry was it. Turns out he can rub two sentences together in a debate, and has major liabilities as governor.
Now they are testing out Cain for a second go-round, but are finding out his 999 plan would be a DISASTER of epic proportions because it opens up a new revenue stream for the Federal government. Plus, he cannot hide the fact that he, like Romney and Perry, was for the TARP bailout. He's tried to lie his way out of it saying he didn't like the way it was "implemented"...but rational Republicans know that is a cop out and there is no "right" way to implement something that was wrong on principle from the very beginning.
When Cain falters, and he WILL, who is left?
Seriously, who is left? Gingrich? With all his liabilities, he would be an easy take-down for Obama. Family groups will never like him because of his divorce and history of womanizing.
Santorum? I very seriously doubt it. The man wants to turn the United States into a giant church with himself as priest-in-chief. I don't see that happening.
Huntsman? Despite the media trying like hell to shove him down our throats as a viable candidate, he hasn't gained any traction at all.
So, who is left? it's ok, you can say his name! He's the guy in THIRD PLACE in all the most credible polls, behind Romney and Cain. Ahead of Perry. He has about 14% of the GOP electorate and climbing steadily. Just just bought another $2 MIL in ads in early States. He's the first to the table in advertising. He just raised $2.5 MIL in a day, with another $3.5 MIL still in the bank... And any time he asks his supporters for more, we are there to accomodate.
His name is not Robert Paulson... His name is Ron Paul.
Cain is just a distraction. Ron Paul is going to win this time and the Elite are shaking in their shoes.
Regarding Piers Morgan's interview with Herman Cain and follow up with Juan Williams.........I understand the pride and historical significance of the election of President Obama shared by black Americans, in addition to the majority of voters.
However, I would like to say as a woman, it's still "A man's world".
Black men were given the right to vote before women.
Our first Black President is also a man.
Women are the most discriminated members of society in America.
Women worked hard in the suffrage movement to obtain rights for women. Women also worked to support the end of slavery in the USA.
Black men supported women in the sufferage movement....
Frederick Douglass and Sojourner Truth both worked to end slavery, and procure human rights for all Americans.
Hmm. White man... You have what you want.
Get online and look at jobs. I have someone who cuts my yard for $50,00 in about an hour. Handyman? About $50 per hour. Men with little education.... men who pocket the money without paying taxes.
Look at jobs for women. I have a B.S. and M.A in education. I completed and passed the National Certification process to recognize the best teachers in the nation...
What are my odds of getting a job working with children or exploring new avenues for a part time job. A job that makes more than minumem wage even.
$50 an hour for tutoring? No way. Lawncare... same price? More important...I live in an area where an after school program is offered to parents at $65,00 a week per child! This includes snacks, planned activities, and homework help!
White Female... Ron Paul is the best candidate. I will not vote for another candidate. I am a Republican. We do need to throw out some babies with the bathwater. Our government's size is abominable. So many pork projects and ineffective (expensive) policies and programs. Ron Paul. There are programs that need to gooooo!
Tonya, your right about some things, but a little over the top on others. Women are a gender not a race, the discrimination is markedly different just based on that. For instance, white women weren't packed onto slave ships and sold to plantations to work in the field. It's just not fair to make comparisons between the plight of women and that of African Americans. I agree there is still disparity, but it's not a concerted effort by all white men to keep you down. Most of us want you to succeed. Your complaints could just as easily come from a white man. One of my best friends has a degree in political science, and works as a supervisor at a box factory making $20 an hour. I dropped out of art school and charge over $100 an hour. Education doesn't guarantee success, or even indicate that you deserve it. It just means you paid a college and sat through enough courses to get a degree. If I was you, I'd be angry that they lied to you about higher education leading to higher social status. That may have been true 20 years ago, but not anymore. We want to know what real tangible skills you bring to the table, not what papers you have hanging on your wall.
Of course Cain doesn't like Ron Paul. Ron will audit the Federal Reserve and Cain is their servant.
Piers YOU ARE A SICK PUPPY. DO YOU REEALY NOT KNOW THAT MUSLIMS ARE NOT PEACEFUL. READ THEIR KORAN. SOME ARE "SLEEPERS", WHICH MEANS THEY KEEP A LOW PROFIL UNTIL THEY ARE GIVEN THE WORD. IT IS POMPOUS, LIB FOOLS LIKE YOU THAT ARE COSTING US OUR COUNTRY.
MAY YOUR NECK BE THE FIRST TO "REACH THE BLADE" OF THESE "PEACEFUL MUSLIMS"
You really came across as a racist when you said to the first black American to run for the nomination of the Republican party for President of the United States, `You might have a future in cutting hair if your bid for the presidency doesn't work out.' SHHEEEEEEESH. If I were Cain, I would have whacked you upside your thick skull.
EVERYONE...You have just had an experience within the eye of the devil. Seeing Cain and hearing his mess is laughable. Nothin' but the devil. He actually thinks there is a difference between African-American and Black American....as he calls it. As Black as he is. Go Away Mr. Cain! You will never measure up to Obaama and while all the conservatives thinkk nobody is listening, come election time no matter who the Republican nominee may be, we are not asleep. Watchin" ya'll comes beyond the call of duty. We will "whomp" your ass again for a 2nd term. Obama is and was elected on God's Will! You just can't trump that. Mr. Cain is a hoax...I wouldn't be surprised if some desperate whitle political group is paying him to run against the Greatest!
I would just like to take this opportunity to relish the unabashed racism and religious zeal coming from the left. It's not often that someone just confesses that they are a horrible person who judges people by the color of their skin and believes that their will is God's will. It's even less common to see them profess their undying love for Obama while doing it. I'm sure by tomorrow you'll be back to calling conservatives racist and accusing them of trying to legislate their morality, but right now, you have the spotlight. Shine on you crazy racist Christian nutjob.
Very grateful for a politician who speaks truth. Herman Cain is a person who tells it like it is. Piers, please be more courteous and let your guest complete their replies. That is just good manners.
Dear friends from the US,
I have been following GOP debates very closely and I request you all to give Paul a chance. His entry to the White House will solve many a problems in the whole world!
Ron Paul is not a flipper like Cain. I wonder why he likes him the least, because he fears him the most.
There is really no one else to vote for in the next election. It is like chosing Harding, Coolidge, or Humphrey over FDR.
Thank you Herman Cain for your endorsement of Ron Paul. If you don't trust Ron Paul, it must be because he's doing something right.
Cain loves women – Great !!!
Totally DISAGREE with Cain and agree with Paul. There are WAY more things that need to be ELIMINATED in this crap country that are UNfixable.
I've been a Paul supporter since the last election, and a lifelong Libertarian, but Cain has convinced me of the folly of my ways. It seems instead of consistency, integrity, and intelligence we need 999. The answer is as 9 as the 9 on your 9. Got a tough stain? 999 it out! Sorry Herman, the harassment scandal isn't going to do you in, your own lack of depth will be your downfall. Just because you don't have the capacity to understand the role of federal government doesn't mean Paul's understanding of it is flawed. Go back to the private sector and leave the politics to people who understand them.
So you can smile? I didn't know you could do that. Did they force you to? I saw you interview Connie Mack IV... It looked like you were chewing on a lemon. You left your manners in merry ole England, eh? Just for that, I'm going to help Mack run for the Senate. You were so rude, you interrupted him in mid-sentence several times, asked him condescending questions, and he just kept on answering your original questions that you didn't really want an answer to. You just wanted to preface a question with your opinion and then cut off the answer. How drole. You must be trying to get an offer from MSNBC.
I wondered for a while why Cain wasn't telling us about his experience as head of the KC Federal Reserve bank. Now I guess I know–Ron Paul is bringing back the conspiracy theory of a secret clique of bankers who own or control the Fed for private profit, who operate without any check by the executive branch. That was rampant before the internet and cable when appointments to the Fed were not well known; now they are. So what's Ron's excuse now? The technical independence of the Fed is so that it can pursue independent monetary policy whose purpose is in the law, without pressure from the Congress or President to push for inflation which politicians usually want for political purposes. Bernanke is the exception to the rule, a Fed leader who wants inflation to help the Prez, presumably to get reappointment. Ron Paul is going to ruin his son's reputation if this keeps up. Oh, I know, Piers, you hate Rand already.
Definitely imagine that that you stated. Your favourite reason appeared to be on the net the simplest factor to keep in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed whilst other folks consider concerns that they plainly do not know about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the top and outlined out the entire thing without having side effect , other folks could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thank you
