READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
On the eve of Saturday's Nevada caucus, Ron Paul sits down with Piers Morgan for a revealing interview, during which the Republican from Texas shares his views on rape and abortion: "If it's an honest rape, that individual should go immediately to the emergency room, I would give them a shot of estrogen."
In an emotional one-hour sit down from Las Vegas, Paul says he feels life does begin at conception, but thinks basing his entire abortion position on a hypothetical situation can be difficult: "A person immediately after rape? Yes, it's a tough one. And I won't satisfy everybody there."
Tune in to "Piers Morgan Tonight" at 9pm ET/PT as the Republican race's oldest candidate goes into more detail on this controversial topic.

The job numbers are not good, they are bad when you consider the number of people actually looking for jobs has shrunk. Take that into consideration and the actual and the actual jobless rate is more lie 11%
I agree, you get the government you ran for not the government you wish for. Unemployment has been over 8% for three years. That is a fact. If George Bush was in office that would still be a fact.
Hey Piers why did you have to put 35% down on a house how much was that thing you are not the 1% are you?
Nice work Pierce. You never let Ron finish answering one question. The short answers you allowed him to have made you look foolish. You diverted from the important issues and finished off the interview on a completely unrelated issue concerning the presidential race. It this isn't an obvious example of the establishment feeling it slip what is?
PLEASE PLEASE,, Let the MAN finish.. Ron Paul speaks with truth and just...What is wromg with letting this man talk.. He was never aloud to finish one sentence,, Funny, pierce being a British man, speaking on American soil... Ron Paul has the COMPLETE RIGHT directon to fix the issues of the USA... But, as always Americans will shut out the truth, and follow the cattle to slaughter.... Ron Paul is a very true strong and willing to keep the usa free... Pierce, Cant wait for you tp put on your british army rags and defend isreal...Ron Paul has been railroaded so many times, and the man waits patienty and respondes with great knowledge... I am SOOO sick of having neighbours that think they ARE the police of the world... How about start working truthfully on your own country and LET this man be President... The reason he is always shutdown is because , well; , Its hard to swallow the truth isn't it... Truth sets you free... STARTS there... Ron Paul , love your strenght!!! keep it up Ron.... Pierce put a crumpet in it... stick to rubbin, donalds back buddy..till, then I'll just climb back in my Igloo...
I'm with you, Ben. Piers Morgan's interviewing are lacking to say the least. He was especially rude and dismissive towards Ron Paul last night. I don't know how he came to have the position (Piers) he has. Apparently, more people need to speak up regarding his terrible manners (especially if he disagrees with you in the slightest). I was glad Ron Paul made the statement regarding allowing him to finish answering the question Piers Morgan posed to him. Piers was using the 'machine gun' tactic towards him, one quick question after another, never letting him have time to answer and when he did, he cut him short. I tell myself I won't watch Piers Morgan ever again, then there he is and I'm curious as to if he's going to ask those same silly-ass questions he puts to others. Thank you again for speaking up on behalf of Ron Paul!
PIers Morgan an interviewer? What a joke! Most thinking Britons despise him. Let's not forget, he came from the 'gutter press' over there...
I totally agree. I had respect for Pier Morgan show, no more. He tryed to destroy Dr. Ron PAul. Whatever, my family never more waist time watching this show.
You are SO SO right! It really frustrated me to no end. And so disrespectful of Piers in my opinion!
Agreed. Piers Morgan was shown to be the loud mouth ignoramus he has always been. He is a dreadful interviewer and Ron Paul made him look utterly foolish at every turn
Piers Morgan is a hack. Always has been...always will be. The most that can be said about him is that he's a "jeernalist," not a journalist.
Hey Northern Neighbor,
I think we are poised to take a 40-50% majority in a national election for a third party candidate, but it is going to take an increasing amount of patience and wear-with-all from my country's people. Also it helps to keep a positive alignment by speaking life over this years election (Ron Paul 2012!!!!! Whoooo, Tampa or Bust!) . We have a new electorate in our nation that has lived through 9-11 and has a great sense of national belonging, but just needs some understanding from those of us in the know. The american people aren't too far gone, at least not my neighbors, and even though you can't help by voting (hey wait could you guys move here and establish residency in time...LOL), you can foster intelligence and even advocate for the cause. THANKS, and I am glad to hear international support from the North American community (if I am not being overly presumptive..eh?)...
Wow, ask Ron Paul a question and then...INTERRUPT!! I will never watch Piers again!! Piers says America must defend Isreal, but he did not like it when Ron Paul asked him "why don't the British defend Isreal???"
Karl, well said, "Let me make this clear', Piers does not want to hear anything that will disrupt his agenda!! He is a socialist. Thanks for being clear thinking there is indeed a famine in the land.
Well... he most likely has his grown up children in Britain, so of course is not convenient for him to send the Brits to war.
On another hand I have couple of question.
If Israel is such a great friend of ours, why weren't they shoulder to shoulder with the American soldiers after 9/11 attack ? I would like to know HOW they helped us ever, considering the millions upon millions of $ they got from us every year.
And... if Piers loves so much the school system and free medicare in Britain, why is he here ? Why was not Britain good enough for him ?
The other day, in a interview with Jerry Springer, he was proposing the companies to bring the jobs back to USA by accepting lower profits. Why doesn't he go back to Britain and accept a lower salary there than here ? The Brits would love to have him back, wouldn't they ? LOL
Ron Paul impressed the heck out of me last night. The best part as the no answer to "why don't the British" go over & die in the middle east".
they do send their kids and are our best ally and one wonders why they bother after reading this comments page!
I agree..I was very disappointed IN Piers Morgan. I too thought he was going to do a good interview & we would finally get to hear what Ron Paul stands for. Turns out we were all wrong. Piers acted like Glen Beck tonight..in other words
a complete JERK! IN spite of it all Ron Paul was respectful, patient & still tried to deliver his message. The man is so
much smarter than all the other candidates Combined! He talks about his message & doesn't just concentrate on mud slinging. That's mainly because he has knowledge & has a PLAN to get America out of the MESS we are in! We NEED Ron Paul. The Republicans are too arrogant & too stupid to acknowledge the truth. They hide behind IDIOTS like G. Bush & that is why we are in the mess we are in!
Exactly, Karl, I don't think that Piers Morgan likes it when an intelligent person TRIES to answer some of the most inane, irrelevant questions. Ron Paul was right-on when he made the statement 'why does America have to be the policemen of the entire world'. Bet he did not like it when Mr. Paul put it to him that how would he like it if thousands of Brit men and women had to die because of this. Increasingly, I am starting to resent Piers Morgan – He's too immature and ill-informed to be in the position he's in. He's not intelligent enough and his social skills are lacking. I don't like the fact that he has a job as important as the one he has and he's allowed to speak to people any way he wishes and there is alot of DISRESPECT coming from this childish man. I would like to see him off the air (unless he's doing a job he's more likely to be better at - judging talent – no, I take that back, he's not worthy to even do that. Now I'm being judgmental, however, I know my limitations – he seems to think he doesn't have any limitations.
You are so correct! We watched as we thought Ron Paul would have a great forum to explain his ideals and principles. Piers simply showed he is a "puppet" to the liberal mainstream media with his constant interruptions – So disappointed and will not watch him anymore. I should've known when he started the program with "Ron Paul will not be your next President." How dare he start with that – the bias is blinding!
RonPaul2012! I have now Joined the Revolution!
@Joan Hey, I'm British, I don't want to get into an argument about the other comments, but Piers Morgan left the country because he's a terrible journalist and published fake pictures of soldiers torturing Iraqi prisoners
Although I take no sides politically I find Mr. Morgan's opinion somewhat slated. To suggest that Romney doesn't really care about the poor and to press that comment repeatedly is "poor" reporting.
Responders are right on. Piers Morgan is and arrogant ideolog creature of the capitalist military mindset. He can't allow Ron Paul to answer his questions if the answer isnn't going to support the above. Ron Paul did get one answer in: a zinger of let Britain be the policeman of the world (hypothetically), since the US is bankrupt just like the Roman Empire eventually became and the Soviet Union with their expansionist policies.
Worst interview I have ever seen. It seemed piers was more interested in putting in his two cents worth rather than listen to Ron Paul. I won't be watching Piers Morgan any more. Last nights episode was painful to watch. Piers interrupted Paul everyt time he ashed him a question. Plus his questions were more rhetorical than genuine querries.
Get rid of Piers and get another Anderson Cooper. His interview with with the woman last night whose daugher was killed by a drunk driver was perfectionl. That was an interview!!! Anderson allowed for everyone to feel her pain.
the bible supported abortion, that was done by a priest, in god's name, in his holly temple!
the 1984 NIV footnote of numbers 5:11-31 explained what "to thy thigh to rot, they belly to swell" meant: numbers 5:21 "or causes you to have a miscarrying womb and barrenness" to CAUSE a miscarrying womb IS an abortion.
'Ephraim, as I saw Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the murderer." Give them, O LORD - what wilt Thou give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts...Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit; yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.'
the judeo-christian god is a myth and historical evidence proves it.
3.3.3 ATHEISM: A HISTORY OF GOD (Part 1) Evid3nc3
2nd Foundational Falsehood of Creationism-AronRa
Neither of these passages support abortion. This is a great example of the fact that the Bible covers so many issues relevant to our lives today. However because a controversial topic such as abortion is included does not mean that God endorses it.
The New King James Version translates Numbers 5-20-21 as "But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself and some man other than your husband has lain with you”— 21 then the priest shall put the woman under the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman—“the Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord makes your thigh rot and your belly swell". The rotting thigh and swollen belly are a metaphor for infertility. This passage addresses what an Israelite in Moses' days should have done if he suspected his wife of cheating on him. This in no way is an endorsement for abortion. Read the entire section for yourself at http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=numbers%205&version=NKJV
As for Hosea 9:16, the New King James Version translates it as "Ephraim is stricken, Their root is dried up; They shall bear no fruit. Yes, were they to bear children, I would kill the darlings of their womb". Note that it says "of their wombs" NOT, "in their wombs" Hosea was a prophet and during his time many Israelites were not leading a life pleasing to God. The Lord used Hosea to expose the Israelites' ways and warn them of the consequences of their actions. Ephraim refers to Israel and chapter 9 of Hosea addresses Israel's punishment. Several times in the Bible God emphasizes His love for Israel and it is often represented by the Israelite nation growing in size. So saying that Israel will stop growing and that children will die, rather than grow up to have children of their own, was a significant punishment. Again, read the entire section for yourself: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=hosea%209&version=NKJV
I understand that not everyone is a believer, but quoting Bible verses without explaining or even referring to the context can be very misleading. There are many free Bible resources out there don't take someone's word at face value (including mine!). You can read many different translations of the Bible and search through every book and chapter at http://www.biblegateway.com/. Also http://www.blueletterbible.org/.
If you have questions regarding a specific topic, http://www.alwaysbeready.com/ is a good place to start. Check out their section on the evidence for the Bible, it might just surprise you.
Regardless of your political or previous spiritual background, I encourage you to give God and the Bible a chance. If nothing else you will gain valuable knowledge...although I pray that your life will be as transformed as mine. He truly is good!
This is a great response. Thank you cc171!!!
THIS IS SCIENCE:
FETUS IS NOT A BABY (GOOGLE THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT CHART), but a parasite because the classification of the biological relationship that is based on the behavior one organism (fetus) and how it relates to the woman's body.
as a zygote, it invaded the woman's uterus using its TROPHOBLAST cells, hijacked her immune system by using NEUROKININ B and HCG- so her body doesn't kill it, steals her nutrients to survive, and causes her harm or potential death.
"The placenta functions as an immunological barrier between the mother and the fetus, creating an immunologically privileged site. For this purpose, it uses several mechanisms:
It secretes Neurokinin B containing phosphocholine molecules. This is the same mechanism used by parasitic nematodes to avoid detection by the immune system of their host."
" Due to its highly-negative charge, hCG may repel the immune cells of the mother, protecting the fetus during the first trimester. It has also been hypothesized that hCG may be a placental link for the development of local maternal immunotolerance."
"It is also possible for a symbiotic relationship to exist between two organisms of the same species."
http://www.answers.com/topic/symbiosis - Gale's Science of Everyday Things.
just like a parasitic twin - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parasitic_twin
"an animal or plant that lives in or on another (the host) from which it obtains nourishment. The host does not benefit from the association and is often harmed by it"
pregnancy CAUSES HARM: http://www.thelizlibrary.org/liz/004.htm
if a man can abort his tapeworm at anytime– so should a woman abort her unwanted parasitic fetus, too.
THE FETUS DOESN'T HAVE THE ABILITY TO FEEL PAIN –WHEN MOST ABORTIONS OCCUR.
Using technical terms and science to compare a baby to a parasite is tacky.
A human fetus IS a baby. It is not a horse, a television or a grasshopper. Ron Paul says that live starts at conception, because if you interrupt it, you are ending it's course of nature. Don't kid yourself that abortion means you're not ending a life, that you're not stopping it in the middle of it's destiny of living outside of the womb. We all start from an egg fertilized by a sperm, after that, if you leave it alone and don't kill it, you will have a baby. People in the dark ages thought all they saw was all that existed until Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen discovered X-rays.
I'm afraid that's not true, Jessica. Up to 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. This is normal for human beings and most of the time the mother will never know it has occurred because it happens so early. So left alone, 25% of pregnancies still will NOT result in the birth of a human being.
Whatever you call it, it's none of your business. You take care of your body and I'll take care of mine.
Neil, to use 25% chance of death as a reason to end the life of a baby is like saying, Grandma has a 25% chance of dying through winter, getting rid of her would be financially better for us. The chance of death of a fetus is around 1-25% correctly however, I'd much rather go with the bigger percent that someone is going to live. If you are betting money on anything, why would you go for the option with the least percent of winning? You prefer to go against the odds? A mind like yours just doesn't make sense, a mind like yours will often make you unhappy, and you'll have days where you wish their was more or that there's something missing. Likely because you have no respect for life, 25% chance of death or less. Using this "immortality rate" is a tactic of an abortionist. You try to convince women that it's OK because their baby could die naturally anyway. So to prevent them from dying naturally, you kill them. My God, what a backwards and upside down world you live in Neil. Stay the hell away from my community please.
Talk about twisting science and using extreme confirmation bias.
You argument actually proves the fetus is a life. Even if parasitic as claimed, then it must be alive. And what type of life is it? If we look at the DNA it is of another human being. But your argument is ridiculous. The fetus is the same as a tapeworm? Then nobody should get pregnant and have babies. I've heard some good intellectual arguments, but your attempt is beyond absurd.
Someone should have aborted you, gailrouth.
How does it feel to be a parasite?
Your argument that the fetus is a parasite makes sense, although its' parasitic relationship in the beginning turns into a psychologically symbiotic one that increases happiness from unconditional love, and additionally once the fetus eventually grows into an age of adolescence the relationship is physically and chemically symbiotic from physical actions.
Using your logic more, when someone becomes too old to really give something in return to their offspring even in the psychological form, then if they are sent away to a nursing home to be visited very irregularly and not often, then they take on a parasitic relationship drawing from their offspring. The resources taken are economic ones to allow for nourishment, as opposed to a fetus taking just nourishment (although you could say that economic resources provide the additional nourishment that a mother feels chemically obliged to feed her hunger). If that old person had a stroke and lost feeling, is paralyzed, etc. then they too would not feel anything if pain was intentionally induced, so can they then be aborted too?
If your answer to what I just said No, then you believe that life begins at birth. Believing this a fair assumption to make and that you would agree with, then how can you call a fetus a parasite? A parasitic organism is just that; an organism. Since organisms are alive, and removing them will kill them just like a tape worm would be killed, then you can't say life begins at birth. If removing from the body, or birthing, kills something then obviously it ends it's life.
Since life is being ended by removal as it is not one with its mother by it being a parasite, then the killing of the fetus is a killing of an human.
Using the logic you presented
What a shameful and utterly repulsive thing to say. I hope you never procreate lest you have occasion to treat any of Gods precious children as mere unwanted parasites. Shame shame shame on you. How do you even look yourself in the mirror after spewing that garbage?
Piers Morgan is too interested in pushing his own politics and DOES not let us listen to Ron Paul. Typical pundit.
Gotta agree with you. I usually like piers but just when Paul starts to get to the meat of his point piers changes the subject or asks another loaded question
Piers is making me mad. He's being very rude and interrupting Ron Paul so much.
Morgan, instead of judging your guests go back to your boring old show. I have not seen such disrespect; let Paul finish his sentences inspite the fact you don’t agree. You have no respect
It would have been a different ballgame if Larry King had been doing this interview! Larry would have asked the question and let Ron Paul answer without having Larry interject his own opinion instead.
Pierce was tough on Ron Paul. Pierce did not give Ron Paul the chance to elaborate Ron Paul's answers...Pierce was going to the next questions abruptyly. Ron Paul was a bit disappointed by giving Pierce the gesture to let him finish his anwers.
I agree Piers Morgan No more. He shows me how ignorant and uuunnnpppprrrrrooooffeeeeeessiioonnaall he is.
Piers didn't know how to react when Dr. Paul (was successful) and gave a thoughtful and intelligent response. Surely Piers Morgan realized that he was way out of his league and today he must be feeling quite foolish. Lastly, Piers Morgan isn't fit to wipe the sweat off of Ron Paul's ass.
COMPLETELY AGREE. I'm watching replay right now and I'm so offended by how Morgan won't let Paul finish a sentence or thought!! Morgan...if you so interested in expressing your own view just have a picture of Ron Paul that you can talk AT...don't waste his time and MY TIME by actually inviting him on your show under the guise of interviewing him! And advertising that you are 'interviewing Ron Paul". It was like Morgan was too scared to let Paul speak because Paul MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! Morgan needs to question his role as a member of the press. Are you reporting or are you trying to become the news?
Hey, Frank, agree, agree, agree. What can we do to cause Piers Morgan to stand in the unemployment line?
Agreed! Piers Morgan is doing a TERRIBLE job with this interview.... I tuned in to watch this show because of Ron Paul, and Piers isn't letting him talk. It's not an interview, he keeps interrupting him and pushing his own opinions. I will NEVER tune into another Piers Morgan interview again.
Piers is a bright guy, but he can not keep up with Ron Paul. If he would give Him the chance to answer every question it would be a much better interview. Piers should really try to relax his political views a bit and he would become a much more respected interviewer.
Your comments are correct. He seems to be fascinated by the sound of his own voice to ever allow anybody to be able to absorb an answer to a question that Piers Morgan poses towards somebody. Another bad interviewer is Dr. Drew, as well as Jane Velez Mitchell. Always cutting a person's pertinent answer off before we're able to really know how somebody is thinking. Getting so tired of this type media.
Good probing questions but he needs to stop long enough to hear the answer.
This is the worst interview Piers has ever done - its as if he thinks HE is the focus of the interview. I think he is incredibly rude when he talks over, interrupts and puts words in his mouth. What a contrast to how he kisses up to guests he likes, like Alec Baldwin. I'm also quite tired of him constantly praising how the Brits do everything. Who cares? If he wants to idolize that so much, he should go back! What an absolutely horrible interviewer he is.
I am so glad to hear other people feel the same way I do. Piers Morgan ALWAYS wants to make it about him. Nobody cares what he thinks. We watch this show to listen to his interviewees not him.
I am relieved to find that I am not the only person who thinks Piers interviewing Ron Paul is the worst interview I've ever seen; he is consistently interupting him before he finishes his response. He is extremely rude and disrespectful. He appears to have an agenda, very unprofessional. What a shame.
I agree. I wish he would tell the truth. Tell Warren Buffet to write that big check (1-6 Billion would work, the more he gives the better he will feel) and stop saying that he wants to pay more taxes. I would love to work for Warren Buffet and pay 35% in taxes because that would mean I would make between 200k to 500k not bad for his poor secretary and she should consult a tax advisor so she can pay less taxes.
I am also glad to see that others are having a problem with the way Piers isn't letting Ron Paul finish speaking before he jumps in, interrupts, etc. He is doing a TERRIBLE job of interviewing him! If this continues, I will definitely stop watching this show. He is being totally disrespectful and it's incredibly annoying!
I agree!! PM needs to work on his own country and what they need to do about Iran. He is always concerned about what AMERICA actions are, what about the UK. Why not start interviewing your own PM and your countires issues. I agree with Ron Paul we can not continue to be the Police of the world.
So only Americans can be journalists here? He was asking a question about the position of a candidate running for office, not trying to press America into doing something. I would hope that if I or any other America embarked on a journalist career in Britain that we wouldn't be judged as Americans rather than simply our interviewing skills.
Absolutely, Julie, again, this man can't get enough of his own mouth – And, I don't want to get to his level, however, if he's going to constantly compare (in a disparaging way) American to GB, for goodness' sake, he needs to pack his bags and go back. Just to reiterate, I don't understand how Piers Morgan came to have this job. He isn't talented enough and God knows his format is lacking. Yes, I have seen him suck up to Jerry Springer just recently. He BLATANTLY exhibits his snide behavior towards people that don't agree with his agenda.
Let Ron Paul finish his thoughts and Piers quit talking over him. Shame on you Piers Morgan, you know better than that! It's not about you!
I agree, Piers is not letting Ron finish his points. I am really disappointed in him.
Thank you for saying the obvious – Piers Morgan has no business being allowed to be watched by millions every night. How did he come to get this job? He's a very poor interviewer and I dislike him very much. Boycotting his show in future.
somebody PLEASE tell Morgan not to make the interview about him. Nobody cares what HE thinks. We want to know what his interviewees have to say. He ALWAYS has to interupt to him his "input." He asks open questions and expects yes or no answers. Please Morgan ask the question then shut up and let your interviewee talk >:-(
So, let me get this straight, Piers is upset that Paul wants to expose an accurate interpretation of an enormously significant statement? Better to propagate ignorance, right? piers is an insult to journalism.
I agree! Piers Morgan is an insult to journalism. I am only watching the interview because I respect Ron Paul. But everytime I watch interviews from Morgan, he always INTERRUPTS! >:-(
I am appalled by Piers lack of manners and journalism ... all his questions are hypotheticals or asking him to defend other politicians comments... AND he hasn't let Ron Paul finish an answer to one question, he just interrupted him again. Piers Morgan should go back to print journalism and keep his mouth shut. I hope CNN really thinks hard about renewing this bozo for another day at their news network.
Hooray – thanks for what you posted – so true. Now, if more people would care enough to speak up about this immature, ignorant person, that would make my day. Thank you again.
Piers needs to STOP interrupting!!!!! What a JERK.
Pierce Morgan is incredibly rude, he cuts Mr. Paul over and over, he doesn't let him finish his sentences. Mr. Morgan: Who are you working for?
I WISH PIERS WOULD SHUT UP! LET PAUL TALK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been listening to Mr.Morgan since he started this gig – I want to believe he's a smart Brit but he says things that make me wonder....for example – his query to Ron Paul tonight re: Mitt Romney & the poor....Romney clearly – very clearly clarified his initial comment – that he believed there was a 'safety net' for the poor but not necessarily for the middle class (but that he would also remedy the safety net for the poor if it was felt to be inadequate) – then why is Morgan not elucidating for the public what Romney actually said instead of just rather DUMBLY spout off the unintelligence that ever other journalist has spouted? OR IS IT that Morgan is just an OBAMA partisan and not really a journalist?? Morgan does not clarify the issues as much as he thinks he does – too much self loev? Clearly he's enjoying the new gig.
Piers, SHUT THE F@@K UP. Let him answer your "questions" If you don't want to hear his answer why ask?
LAUGHING OUT LOUD! Hey, Sandy, you've got it right – He's a total waste. We were interested in hearing the responses to PM's (= pre-menstral) questions.
Piers: Quit interrupting Dr. Paul. Allow him to speak. Your liberal bias is getting in the way of learning the truth from someone a lot more knowledgeable about money, warfare, markets and liberty than you.
Piers, please learn from your predecessor, Larry King, and listen to your guests before interrupting them and jumping into conclusion!
Please Mr. Piers we understand that you are very excited but please let Mr. Paul finish a sentence.
I agree with the many who say that Piers should let Ron Paul finish his answers.
Pierce Morgan, can you shut up and let Dr. Paul finish what he says
I am with you!!! Pierce SHUT UP and let the man respond. I mean the entire interview you just would not SHUT UP.
RON PAUL – you are RIGHT ON...don't stop getting your message out there!!!
Piers, stop interrupting the man, A**HOLE!
If you want to give your corporate master's OPINION(agenda) , then interview a mirror. You are friendly with the ARAB prince who wants to destroy IRAN.
Ron Paul You ROCK.
you are very knowledgeable and truthful. I never new the true interpretation of Ahmadenajad speech. even though I dislike him. we should be factual We respect you Dr. Paul.
Ron Paul is absolutely right. We need to pay attention to our own interests rather than the interests of regimes like Likud in Israel with two hundred nuclear warheads. Why do we assume that Iran is building the bomb and is going to attack Israel? Are they insane? How could a country even with one bomb attack a country with two hundred nuclear warheads and remain intact? How about some critical thinking or is that going to hurt our heads?
See you understand this. Even IF and that's a big if Iran is building nuclear weapons how many bombs do they have 1? 2? 5? Israel has 200, America I don't even need to say and plus you think Russia, China, India or Iran want war? The elite oil owners in Iran don't want war because it would hurt them. Iran has not attacked a country since the 1800's and Russia and China are telling Iran to do whatever they have to, to resolve this nuclear crisis. Logical people lik you understand this but people are blind and ignorant and brainwashed. The real purpose is the elite's agenda to start WW3 and disrupt the oil supply as well as serve Israel's own interests. Ron Paul understands economics and foreign policy in fact I think Ron Paul's strong point is economics even though he's dead on, on foreign policy as well. 9/11 happened because of the corruption of your government and it's policies and intentions. They needed a false flag attack to serve various interests one being to hide the trillions of dollars stolen in defense money the other to serve the interests of the powers that be and go to war, capture resources and oppress there population.
I somewhat enjoyed watching Piers, but after seeing him railroad Ron Paul repeatedly on tonight's broadcast I've lost interest. Dr. Paul, whether you agree with him or not is a very intelligent man, definitely well versed in the few full sentences Piers allowed him to utter. I figured Piers would of taken an open ear approach tonight to such a controversial man as Dr Paul. Instead he continued on in an arrogant manner, as if he held all the answers to questions directed to Paul. Long story short Piers reminded me of a mouthy adolescent gamboling about with his words while a patient wise man waits his turn to try to make a difference.
Excellent observation Alexander. Bravo.
Absolutely – thank you, Alexander, put this imbecile in his place. Piers Morgan isn't intelligent enough to interview most of the people he does interview and he made A HUGE MISTAKE last night taking on Ron Paul. I liked your analogy very much – very well stated. Starting to really dislike Piers Morgan.
THIS IS AWFUL!! PIERS!!! LET RON PAUL SPEAK FOR GODS SAKE!!
This is driving me crazy. I will NOT watch this show ever again. He must think his behavior is going to ge a lot of reactons, well, it is in our house. WE ARE DONE WITH THIS PROGRAM!!
I am watching to HEAR Ron Paul for pete's sake!!!
Mr Morgan needs to let his guests finish their sentences and stop interupting them!!! If I'm watching a show, it's because I want to hear what his guests have to say, not the interviewer! My dad was a news director in northern Michigan for 25 years and this constant interupting drives both of us nuts!!!
Also, please read more about history and try to update yourself on the subjects you want to discuss. Some of the questions and comments raised by you tonight was very surprising. Many times, I thought I am watching FOX news!!
Paul should not be allowed to run a children's creche never mind a country...& most Americans know that. That's why he'll never be President; he should stick to medicine or retire.
Why? Is it because he told you Brits to go send your young to die instead of us Americans? Or are you one of the poor people of the U.K. that simply adore Piers because he is for the poor people first?
Glad you don't live here, you imbecile...
Bloody idiot... no wonder we kicked your ass to be free!
Take Piers back, we don't want him or need him.
Again, Piers, why don't YOU defend Isreal if it's so important?
That was the only time Pierce had nothing to say... what a rude putz.
RON PAUL 2012
Is that right, Joker? Pull your head out of your dumb-A$$ and go back to school.
Don't you just hate the media , trying to guide the interview rather than allowing the person to just answer the best they can
RIGHT ON. I am so very sickened by how the media has steered this election thus far. For Pete's sake, it's as if the media is now not only unembarassed with their bias, they feel it's their right to tell us all what to think, I.e, how they have all but excluded Ron Paul... Ever notice how nearly EVERY media outlet these days fails to give Paul equal coverage? I'm in FL, and during this week's primary, they very often referred to "the THREE candidates" - Romney, Gingrich and Santorum. Unbelievable. The American mainstream media has absolutely squandered and abused freedom of the press.
I am surprised that CNN did not do better! I thought CNN would be fair! They need to apologize to Dr. Paul and bring him back on and let Wolf or others interview him respectfully. This interviewer was inexcusable!
I agree, he keeps interrupting, won't let Ron Paul speak. Piers is a jerk-never watch him, he is nowhere near as good as Larry King. I will not waste my time watching this show.
I am shocked and disappointed at the way this interview is being handled. Who is being interviewed here? Are we here to hear what Mr Morgan thinks about American politics?
Piers is in over his head with Ron Paul.
I like listening to Ron Paul speak because he has so much common sense...but this is the last time I want to ever hear Peirs morgan's voice. I consider him a rude interviewer. A jerk. I can't stand him. I never watch piers morgan anymore but I had to see Ron Paul. Cnn..find someone else for this time frame. always interrupting.
Hey Pierce Morgan
I watched your interview" of Paul Why don't you let the man answer the questions? It seems you don't like his answers so you attack him the same way O'reily does. You seem more interested in your questions than the answers he is trying to give.
You can tell peirs hates Ron Paul.
Small p big RP
I don't agree with everything RP says....but you should NEVER ask a question and interrupt you interviewee 3 seconds after you ask the question.
watched your interview" of Ron Paul Why don't you let the man answer the questions? It seems you don't like his answers so you attack him the same way O'reily does. You seem more interested in your questions than the answers he is trying to give.
I have never seen Piers so rude. He has interrupted almost every response Paul tried to give. The only thing that shut Piers up for 2 seconds was when Paul asked him why it isn't Britain's responsibility to send their kids over to die to protect Israel from Iran. It took Piers a minute to assert that it is our responsibility as Americans. You know, because Piers said so.
Peirs I think you are nothing but a violent barbarian you have absolutely no civilization or sense of negotiation. If in the 21 century we still attack and kill innocent people is because of devil souls like you. You need to take an anger management class first before talking to a peace maker like Ron paul.
To the electoral college question, the purpose is a stop gap measure. The college protects from a hitter situation where mob rule could elect a dictator. This is a one time stop gap as it would be removed by the masses if it were ever used. The college generally follows the people and designed to protect liberty from rash choices in extreme times. Nice of CNN and piers to broadcast Ron Paul in a respect not often seen. True libertarian
Piers has to interrupt to conduct an interview; guys...this is not a party political broadcast, it's a one to one.
Interupt to conduct an interview??? Why bother asking a question if right when someone speaks you cut them off. Do you feel you have a better idea how Piers believe politically.
Yes! It's a question & answer exercise...& not a preaching session. And anyway, this is the way Piers always conducts his interviews...I think you GOP & Tea Party people just argue about something for the sake of it, because you have little else to talk about.
Must be an English thing and I do know that Dublin is in Ireland, but if you act like an Englishman you can figure out the rest.
Hey Micheal Freeman, I guess you never learned what a interview is. Let me help you to understand. 1st, ask a question. 2nd, shut up and let the person answer. 3rd, ask another question. 4th, let the person answer. Are you starting to understand what an interview is you dumb idiot.
Micheal Freeman apologize to you, my comment was not meant for you, but to the bone head Jaker, Dublin/London. I'm sorry
Hey Jaker, Dublin/London, I guess you never learned what a interview is. Let me help you to understand. 1st, ask a question. 2nd, shut up and let the person answer. 3rd, ask another question. 4th, let the person answer. Are you starting to understand what an interview is you dumb idiot.
I believe the Mr. Jaker is sympathetic to Pier's perspective, i.e., that the U.S. should send military "over there" to die time and time again, and answer to the U.N., instead of our OWN country. Anyone with half a brain can see (as can be read by the countless reactions to this television interview) that Mr. Morgan has been entirely rude and has not respected Dr. Paul, nor has he allowed him to respond to questions asked of him. Perhaps Mr. Jaker should realize that with half a brain he himself would be dangerous.....
I was giving Piers a chance even though I was quite fond of Larry King. This interview has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I had thought better of British people than this, also. Why would Piers treat an American presidential candidate like this? He gave Newt a relaxed interview but he rushed Ron Paul and wouldn't even let him finish answers as though he changed his question in mid thought. Did CNN not have their questions decided on in advance? How bizarre....
Jaker/Joker – You're at the top of my RidicuList! Get a grip/Get a life.

This is a politician, they have a lot of hot air. A journalist needs to get to as many issues as possible, so we can get to know this politicians' views as a summary.
Kind of hard to know what RP's view are when Morgan won't let him answer. What's he (you) afraid of
PM is afraid of being upstaged by an obviously talented man – PM is afraid people will finally have one of those moments when they realize they've been led down the primrose path – The truth will set you free – I never realized I would respect Ron Paul so much. Glad I was able to watch this little performance. Piers Morgan, your face must be beet red today.
Yes, an interviewer who has an hour of show time can get a LOT more pertinent information from someone once he/she allows them to completely ANSWER to questions posed. It is quite obvious that Dr. Paul was CONTINUOUSLY interrupted before having completed almost EVERY response! This was very unprofessional of Mr. Morgan!
Wish Piers could have actually let Ron Paul finish a sentence and not interrupt him every other word. Thought he know how to interview. Funny Piers still has still not gotten enough of hearing himself talk. Shows what an amateur he is compared to Larry King. Larry King brought out the opinion of the guest for all to decide and see. Not to talk over.
Is this interview about Piers and his policical opinions or is it about Ron Paul and his opinions.
Piers needs to be embarassed by this interview. He is rude and condescending. Please ask the question and then shut up and listen.
couldn't agree more
CNN – get rid of Piers Morgan! He is a horrible interviewer. One gets the feeling he thinks it is all about him and his opinions.
Why bother having guests when he doesn't let them finish a sentence before he is blathering on about what he thinks? Which, by the way, is neither interesting nor intelligent. I wasn't crazy about Larry King, but watching Piers sure makes me miss him.
Let's get ride of Piers Morgan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He doesn't know how to interview and shut up to let hims guests talk.
Let's get ride of Piers Morgan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need a more professional journalist
I am starting a new movement/page of Facebook to request a new journalist for this show. Morgan does not let his guest talk.
Please let us know if/when you do this. Thank you.
Kathy, I agree with you. I never thought I'd say it, but I miss Larry King also. Hi IS the master interviewer.
I agree with the comments about Piers lack of class and professionalism. It is not the first time he does this and I can't figure out why he is still at CNN. Discredites the whole media team. That is why I change channels when is on air! Change him...!!
it sounded so fake when you were trying to show excitement about super bowl.....it is a cultural thing, if you are not raised here, it is hard to make the connection...
Learn the basics of interviewing. Perhaps coming from sleezy tabloids, you just don't know any better.
Way to go, Rose – that's right – s-l-e-a-z-y! CNN must be damn hard up to hire Piers Morgan. He's absolutely horrible at his 'job' – only wants to 'interview' people that pay lip service to his opinions. Wait, I think I know the reason he's able to be seen every night. Some Americans love the British accent and Piers Morgan fancies himself a Hugh Grant knock-off. We're not that hard up! Your infantile behavior really did show through last night - I guess you never realized just how out of your league you were when you (or whomever) decided to 'interview' Ron Paul. Keep that trap of yours shut and you might learn something about the USA.
I already changed channel, what a jerk Pierce Morgan you are!
Piers definitly has his own "agenda", very unproffesional journalist !
Yeah, let the British send their kids to war to save Israel. Why should America send their kids to war, Piers? You always want america on Frontline, so you can hide behind them. Bloody British that ruled most of the world with Brutality, until they realized their sins through Hitler.
Couldn't agree more with you!
Piers is cut from the same "made-in-corporate-journalism" cloth... his interview of Ron Paul was ridiculous attack journalism so flagrant I just laughed at Morgan! Mr. Paul took the high road and managed to finish most of his answers- something you can easily do because of conviction and truth!
Absolutely right. Consistently interrupting your GUEST is just not professional.
Morgan wants more war....
Thank you for inviting the conscious of America.Dr Ron Paul.
War is not an answer .kiling of people of Iran and US based on neurotic behavior of radical Israeli,s leaders is a crime .Your war mongering is ridiculous.
Oh – and by the way – my comments about how horrible Piers is are not because I hang on and agree with everything Ron Paul says -- Piers is always like this – I tune in occassionally when I want to see whatever guest he has on – but am always disappointed. This will be the last time I bother...
Piers, you can't prove someone or some nation is going to attack you until they actually launch an attack against you. Would it be OK if the leader of another nation said, "I believe the US/Israel/some other nation is going to attack my nation this spring or summer, so I am going to attack them first to prevent the attack"? Bdi-llc.webs.com
I am starting a Facebook page to get ride of Piers Morgan. We need a real journalist interviewing people and allowing them to talk.
As a graduate with a Communication degree this interview is an embarssment to my profession >:-(
We interview people to listen to what they have to say not for us to be the spot light.
You should get Piers job, I know you can and would do a better job.
Please do this, Imelda! I look forward to seeing this happen. Why would CNN continue to allow Piers Morgan to have his own show when he flagrantly and blatantly (and so often) breaks every rule of respectable journalism? I will no longer watch anything relating to Piers Morgan – FIRE HIS S_ITTY ASS!
wow,,,,,i swear I was thinking that I must be paranoid when I was watching this interview. Then I came here,,,this is crazy interview.
Throughout America's history.......the right man has emerged at just the right time......Ron Paul is exactly this.
YES!!!!!!!! And the proof of just of how different and right he is lies in how hard all sides have worked to silence him.
Ron Paul makes more sense than all the other candidates combined!
Piers Morgan is the worst of interviewers; he interrupted Dr. Paul continuously and seldom allowed him to completely answer his questions. How arrogantly rude & obnoxious! I don't care about Piers's opinions; I tuned in to hear Dr. Paul's opinions!
Wow that was the worst interview I have ever seen by CNN. Piers was incredibly rude in cutting off Dr. Ron Paul. Doesn't this man deserve respect? CNN please put an american back in Larry Kings seat!
Ron Paul's (the libertarian) position on abortion makes no sense. He believes that one person has no right to access another person's money, but a fetus has the right to access another person's body (the mother)???? That's crazy. What would be a consistentt position is if he claimed the fetus has rights once it is OUTSIDE a woman's body. Why should a fetus (another person) have an unabridged right to another person's body???? But it seems his principles go out the window once it is a WOMAN's body. If it was men who carried babies, the issue woudl be clear - but it is still acceptable for others (i.e., a fetus) to be a woman in medical jeopardy. Life is a GIFT from another person (ie., the mother). It is in the category of a donation - life should not be something another person should be compelled to give to another person. Ron Paul's position on abortion is inconsistent, but if he was consistent - imagine the outcry he would have to endure. I don't think he's prepared to weather that as a 76 year old gynecologist. Too bad - he could be such a messenger for where the rights of the fetus end, and where the rights of the carrier (the mother) start and end. So disappointing.
Ron Paul's view on abortion is not the mainstream Libertarian view of the issue. There are places you can learn these things without trying to attack people's views.
your response is confusing and a very selfish view of a baby "robbing" the mother of rights? give me a break..
His response was much more consistent then your reply. Good grief.. Point is it's a very complex issue that is opinion based and will never be solved by Government.. PERIOD!!
Thanks Piers for providing Paul with solid, challenging questions and being keeping it balanced, despite your disagreements with Paul.
THANK GOD PIERS MORGAN IS FINISHED.
What was that more Americans can die but not his countrymen. What a boob. Its the USA's job to fight and die with Israel but not the country that made it a state? The UK should defend them and let us live in peace for a few years. We got sucked into Libya by them and the French we have lost enough for others lets do things for ourselves for awhile.
This is the worst job as an interviewer I have EVER seen. Piers needs to learn how to do his job without interrupting, stepping all over Paul. This was the rudest, slap in the face from a tv personality I have ever seen. In the words of Larry King…the best thing an interviewer can do…LISTEN.
He is not a tv personality... he IS a joke. Pack your bags you limie ( Piers ) and head back across the pond.
Thank for the laugh – he's limey and slimey!
Compliment to Ron Paul that Piers was so threatened by his beliefs he would not let him finish a single question when speaking about war, the poor etc. Long after interviews people are left to to examine the thoughts and questions of their hearts. Truth will always be more important than theory....
You liberals will never get the point! Fear mongers, nation builders-– You are witnessing America's second Revolution; either be a part of it or not...your choice. You cannot stand up to the Young Army of Ron Paul. This is an idea whose time has come. WAKE UP YOU ZOMBIES!! Ron Paul or bust! 2012
You do know Bush took us into Iraq right not Obama?
Some "liberals" like myself agree with Ron Paul on many big issues. Why be so rude unless a liberal is rude to you? Ron Paul is polite and respectful of others and their points of view. That's why he can transcend party lines on important issues and garner support. Food for thought.
that democrats were primarily responsible for.. and then the republicans lost their way and joined in-
Screw you Mr. Morgan and CNN for the first line of this "show".
"Ron Paul is not going to be you next president"
I will expect your next show to be an hour about how Twit Romney is considering a Third Party Run.
Again, screw you.
Hey, Koby, you're nice to address PM as Mr. Morgan.
CNN owes Ron Paul another interview since Piers Morgan really did not let him answer hardly any of the questions that he asked him. It was unbelievable! He would ask a question and just as Ron Paul began to answer the question, Piers would jump in and either insert his own opinion over the top of Ron Paul or rather just change the subject. Unbelievable! What happened? Was Ron Paul about to speak some truth that Piers or CNN would rather he not speak?? We watch CNN mostly and have never seen anything like this. Ron Paul should be invited back and be allowed to answer those questions!
I definitely agree that Dr. Paul should be invited back for a REAL interview with a REAL journalist who can keep his/her political preferences to themselves and allow Dr. Paul to answer the questions posed fully after they are asked.
Dr. Paul was treated like he wasn't there basically; what an embarrassment Piers Morgan is to the news industry and CNN! He should go somewhere and star in his own show; he can ask his questions and then change chairs and answer them; that would, it seems, suit his ego perfectly.
I agree. Ron Paul should be invited back with an apology from CNN and he should be interviewed by a person who knows how to listen. Piers Morgan does not know how to interview. Larry King must be shaking his head, Unbelievable!
Piers treated Paul so differently than Santorum with whom he also disagreed. Piers kept interrupting. Paul is running for president, has served as a physician and a congressman, is extremely intelligent, and has years of life experience, yet PIers feels he wants to argue with him. Why not accord him the same respect as Santorum?
Excellent point. Piers did treat RP pretty rudely for a presidential candidate.
You are 100% right. he did not treat Ron Paul fairly and with respect. Sham on you PM
I admired Pierce Morgan but now, feck you!.
I think Russia and China are praying for Dr. Paul not elected, he's the only man would save America.
I agree with the foregoing comments. Piers was rude in his interruptions with Ron Paul. Larry King or Barbara Walters would have done an excellent interview. Ron Paul's comments make real common sense for our country.
And he call himself a journalist...
I love to listen to Ron Pauls views. I like Piers but i noticed he didn't wait for Ron to complete his answers. He didn't give Ron a full hour apparently he was rushing him.
Regarding wars we should not have them unless declared. We should learn from the Chinese. For the last 30 years the Chinese have been a non-interfering foreign policy. Sad to say that we have become the biggest bullies in the world!
Umm, excuse me Mr. Piers, this is an interview, NOT A DEBATE. Your job is to ask him questions, and let him answer them without your opinion or interruption.
NOT A DEBATE, You are demned right!
i agree with RP 2012 it's an interview not a debate between morgan and Dr. Paul.
i'll be watching morgan again and if he treats good people like he did Dr. Paul last nite then i'll be boycotting the piers morgan show. i'm sure there are folks out there who're better than morgan. he makes me nervous just watching his interview style. he seemed like a ruthless prosecutor the way he was firing questions and statements at Dr. Paul.
as a viewer and judge of morgan's ruthless tactics i'm saying "OBJECTION!" stop badgering the most important witness and and let him finish his answers – the american viewers are waiting to hear. if CNN mgt. doesn't do something about this then i'll no longer be a cnn viewer of this type of broadcasting.
Piers thought he was going to intimidate Ron Paul and found himself looking weak,,, I didnt see piers answering Dr. Pauls answer to let Britain go and det in the war with Iran ,, but it's ok for American kids to die. I lost respect for Piers, as smart man to throw out the "wipe Israel off the map" knowing it was a false statement and then getting upset when Dr< Paul corrected him.
Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who has the best of interest of America's 99% in mind
Who did Ron Paul say that were the 2 people who wrote on 9/11 and were experts? I heard something like Robert Peyton or Peypon or something like that, did anybody catch that? I would appreciate it
Very poorly done. You cheat the very people you are there to serve – the viewers. It is insulting to your guest but even moreso to your viewers to conduct an interview like that. Why not let the man speak freely and present his ideas and positions, and let the people decide what to think about it? Ron Paul's followers are passionate and loyal because there is something to be passionate about.
Piers stated it was proven that raising taxes doesn't hurt economic growth. Anyone that states something is proven in economics is full of it. It can only be a theory and not proven. What the left gets confused on frequently about taxes is that government will seldom raise taxes when times are bad and they only raises them when times are good, so they see this correlation between a good economy and taxes that have been raised. Both sides of Congress know when you take money from the private sector there are downsides to it. To say it will definitely not hurt business is a foolish statement.
Piers Morgan should be ashamed of himself for how he treated Dr. Paul. I actually allowed myself to have hope and think P. Morgan would be a gentleman and give Ron Paul a chance and he did what the rest of them did – completed disrespected him. Shame Piers. Your Mother would not be proud of that interview. I mean the puppet strings were clearly visible from up above. I'm sure there will be a 'bonus' in your paycheck, as you sold your soul, and did what the 'corporation/boss' wanted done.
LONG LIVE RON PAUL !!!!!!!!!!!!! A TRUE PATRIOT THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY FOR TRYING TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY. I'M SO PROUD TO BE FOR RON PAUL. BRING HONEST, INTEGRITY, AND ACCOUNTABILITY BACK TO THE WHITE HOUSE – VOTE RON PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!
Piers just wanted to hear himself talk, not his guest. What an unprofessional jerk.
I use to think Piers had some class and decency, looked forward to his show , after tonights performance i wont see him that same way, did anyone else catch it when his blood pressure went up, on the "let britain go defend Israel" and he got so uptight he asked Dr. Paul if he was a friend of Ahmadinejad ,, how classless to ask a candidate a question like that on the eve of the Nevada primary, I hope Nevadians were watching this interview and got a better undeerstanding if the media and its lies.
I just watched the interview videos on CNN's website. What a crock! They cut out most of Ron Paul's explanation to the questions. Way to go CNN nothing like twisting reality when you don't like someone in attempt to put them in a bad light. They only did this interview so they could get sound bites that they could edit for their political purposes.
I'm so sick and tired of the MSM twisting things; that's probably why I never watch MSM news unless something like a Ron Paul interview is on. What ever happened to reporting facts without the political twist?
I give up on cnn. Journalism and communication majors should study ron paul and the media bias against him in their classes. Its really disturbing. What ever happened to reporting just the news and listening to your guests answers to question. I really don't care to hear the journalists/reporters opinion or about their own personal life. I want unbiased journalism, reporting, and interviewing.......tired of reporters trying to be wannabe celebrities.
I am sooooooooo glad I am not the only one to feel the way this whole f-ing blog is reporting this. Piers smarten up!
You can do it! You are smart enough, good enough and dog-gonnit, people like you!
No they don't. Go back to England Piers
Mr. Morgan, you're very annoying. Ron paul is a brilliant guy and you couldn't even let him finish one of your absurd questions. For instance, when he was trying to explain why we shoudn't jump to the bandwagon about going to war with Iran, you felt certain that if Iran has the nuclear weapons it will bomb Israel. How the hell you know that? Plus, he was trying to explain you the comparisons between Iraq and Iran and again you cut him off. Piers, where the hell you got your journalism degree? And boy didn't you sound ala Glen Bleck or Sean Hannity tonight? I can't stand you and you pathetic English accent either!
I'm glad to see other people have made comments about Piers interrupting Ron Paul. We finally had to stop watching the show. Please, Piers, show some curtesy to your guests.
Being of Irish-American descent I could not help but take Ron Paul's side during Piers' TV program (hoping to see an interview). I was beginning to picture Piers with a white powdered wig taking away Ron's right to speech. I found his questions about war and taxation particularly interesting since his country of origin are well versed in these areas. I am sorry I tuned in and watched. Ron is a true American!
Good bye CNN I am paying too much for this kind of product. I am cancelling cable TV
I'm with you, Irish. Me, too. Well said!
Is it a coincidence that the CNN website colors, remind me of the Flag of China or the Soviet Union?
Piers, I’m a regular viewer of your show. Is it possible for you to stop interrupting your guests when they try to answer one of your questions? I noticed this more tonite while you were interviewing Dr. Paul than ever before. please give the guest a chance to answer the question before firing another question at them. why do you do this? from where I’m sitting you’re making me nervous just watching you interrupt the guest before he has a chance to completely answer your question. I feel sorry for your guests. Dr. Paul should have been treated with more respect by you.
The road to the whitehouse is lined on both sides with Ron Paul Supporters.
peace to all,
, , frank
ps – p. morgan’s interview style [from what I could see and hear is extremely unprofessional] should be discouraged by CNN. if CNN management is doing their job then he should be warned. the next time I see morgan treat someone like he did Dr. Paul he will no longer be on my list of important programs to view.
Piers had some great questions but was clearly out matched and unprepared for the answers. I think Piers came off as a war junkie who wants to continue the Bush war. I bet Piers will be the first to report a WMD in Iran..
I wanted to hear what Ron Paul had to say about economics and foreigh policy. All I got was Mr. Morgan giving his personal views and interrupting and arguing with Ron Paul. I though I was watching Fox News. There is a difference between interviewing and asking hard questions, and arguing with and interrupting the person being interviewed. .
Ron Paul was excellent even with your meaningless questions. He is right, why cannot you ask the British to do the dirty job?
What is wrong with CNN? First they out sourced Larry Kings job to the worst interviewer I have ever heard from another country. What, you could not find ONE person from the USA to take over from Larry? You had to bring in someone from England. The only person he is qualified to interview is himself, since he loves to hear his own voice... He is so stupid, he would probably interrupt himself.
When will you CNN get it, he does not know how to conduct an interview.
What he did to Dr. Ron Paul was not only mean by throwing loaded questions at him, he was extremely RUDE to Dr. Paul, a man who is a hundred times smarter then him (Piers Morgan), a sitting Congressman running for the highest office in the land. Dr. Paul deserves more respect then that.
No one cares what Piers thinks. His job is to ask questions and then shut up, not interrupt before Dr. Paul before has a chance to answer. CNN, you should apologize to Dr. Paul and invite him back for a real interview not an ambush, with someone like, say, the master interviewer himself Larry King. You, CNN should send Piers packing back to the bubble gum worthless show he came from.
CNN! What is the matter with you? This Was supposed to be an interview with Ron Paul, right? Piers Morgan? How did you decide to hire him in the first place? Morgan doesn't know the first thing about what an interview is. He needs to keep his mouth shut and try listening. His own opinions and misguided facts are of no importance to most of us. The guy was insulting, argumentative and just plain rude. He may have been an alright judge on a talent show, a contest winner and even a pretty good newspaper guy though as a non-Brit I will have to doubt the latter. Regardless, as an interviewer, he's a flop! Get rid of him.
Piers...RELAX...we know you have opinions. We just want to hear Ron Paul's opinions. Larry...COME BACK!!! or Piers, learn from your mistakes. You have potential.
To learn from mistakes he first needs to acknowledge them. Aint gonna happen!
Very disappointed in that interview , It appears like Piers is just another phoney, now i cant believe anything that comes out his mouth,
"Let all the British kids go over there and die"
Ron Paul to Piers Morgan during his interview tonight when Morgan insisted that as the US president Ron Paul must attack Iran to support Israel.
I don't even understand how come someone whose job till yesterday was making fun of "half-naked grandmas" in a talent show can say such a thing about a war between two other nations. This is CNN for God's sake!
In the end, just the same old, lame old msm. Piers is totally irrelevant. As is CNN. :)
That should be the "Breaking News" from the Ron Paul interview,,
Those were not Ron Paul's words!!!!!
CNN is corrupt! They thrive on drama, conflict, greed... Basically Piers bombarded Ron Paul with questions so the the public could dissect his cut-short answers! This interview just confirmed my Love for Vote Ron Paul 2012!
Texas-–Agree w/ you 100% (from CT !)
What a slimy limy! All Piers did is make himself look stupid because it was obvious he did not understand Dr. Paul's responses. That is why Piers could not follow up on them. How about Dr. Paul poling last in Nevada? We know that is a big lie. Just remember when they steal our vote they have pre vote propaganda that is in line with the theft. If the vote fraud continues it is time for a more serious revolution.
Voter fraud not good! We in the US criticize third world countries for voter fraud while we are masters in denial. Very sad state of affairs.
Nevertheless...though I find it unbelievable how many people agree on Morgan's rudeness and I even complained myself earlier....my English husband didn't pay any attention to what Piers Morgan and said he thought Ron Paul did an incredible job in spite of Piers Morgan.
Dr. Paul is such a classy, intelligent and patient man! It was so embarrasing to watch that pompous, sel centered buffoon
Pretend to interview him!
Morgan was clearly under orders to discredit Dr.Paul because of his opinions, more particularly about his very accurate analysis of the alleged Iranian threat to Israel...
Shame on CNN and Piers Morgan! Long live Ron Paul!
Viviane...you make a great point. Whenever I see the media be so obvious in doing the bidding of the network higher ups I completely lose respect for that interviewer. I saw Anderson Cooper and Mark Spitz do the same crap toward that scientist who made the connection between vaccinations and some form of colic and autism...that was it for me, lost respect for those two. Those two went out of their way to be rude to that man and later he was vindicated.
Let the Righteous Ron Paul rise up and rule over the wicked and the corrupt that are conspiring against him !!!
GOD HELP US AND GIVE US RON PAUL to save America!!! I Pray this every night !!! God knows....
WE NEED RON PAUL !!
I WILL NEVER WASTE MY TIME WITH PIERS MORGAN AGAIN! This was terribly RUDE! I could not believe after the big hype of saying he was breaking the media silence by having Dr. Paul on his show and THIS IS WHAT we get just another PIERS only show and a waste of the good doctors time! WHAT A JERK! Doesn't he know how many fans he could have gained by being courteous to OUR NEXT PRESIDENT! Dr. Ron Paul values all human life, especially our troops, they are our future, he does not want to put them in imminent danger without it being a life threatening situation but this jerk Piers wants the good doctor to say he would go and kill anyone if someone else says they are thinking of buying a weapon, does that sound right people? Say your neighbor is mad because you didn't smile at him yesterday, so he tells your other neighbor he thinks you are thinking of getting a gun to maybe kill you for no reason, SO with Piers Foreign Policy your other neighbor should immediately get a BOMB AND KILL YOU Because you MIGHT THINK ABOUT but did not even attempt anything? Like the good Dr. Ron Paul says what happened to diplomatic talks. Why is it everyone thinks America should keep going with this GANG WARFARE mentality! We are in worldwide GANG fights and we are the bullies taking over other GANGS territories. WE forget these are NATIONS! GOLDEN RULE!
Right on, Brownsville!
I'm with you!
Nevertheless...though I find it unbelievable how many people agree on Morgan's rudeness and I even complained myself earlier....my English husband didn't pay any attention to what Piers Morgan was doing and said he thought Ron Paul did an incredible job in spite of Piers Morgan.
I thought i was the only one who thought that till i came here read the comments.
Never really watched Piers before. Was looking forward to this interview with Ron Paul. Obviously someone doesn't want me to hear what Ron has to say. The more I watch the news and see how Ron is totally ignored or in this case not allowed to express his ideas, the more I worry that this country is really in trouble. I am beginning to think my vote doesn't count and the election is fixed. Someone help me understand what is going on!
RON PAUL 2012!! Let CNN know it! SEND YOUR FEEDBACK ABOUT THE SHOW HERE!
Ron PAul for 2012. He is the only one. I lost all respect for Pier Morgan Show and CNN>
I still can’t believe what I was witnessing on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” (on 2/3/12) and the totally unprofessional interview conducted by Morgan.
I have to question why Piers was so hostile to Dr. Paul. Was he influenced by something? Was it just an off-day for Piers? Or does he dislike Dr. Paul’s message so much that he would show his prejudice for the world to see.
Dr. Paul is respected and loved around the world.
I plan to give Piers Morgan a chance to redeem himself to millions upon millions of folks around the world who love Dr. Paul and his long term, unchanging message to bring peace to the world, bring all American troops back home where they’re really needed, stop the nation building, after we bomb some of them and his plans to save the trillion$ of US taxpayers’ money that we’re squandering under the guise of bringing democracy to the world through occupation and with ~900 military/contractor bases in 130 countries around the world.
I’ll be listening closely to Piers’ future shows and am willing to give him another chance to interview Dr. Ron Paul again – I firmly believe he owes the world and Dr. Paul another chance to do a “PROPER” interview along with an apology to all who were offended by his offensive prosecutor style of questioning.
peace to all,
, , frank

You telling me that CNN isn't aware of these posts and we have to go post somewhere else to get their attention?
I missed Larry King, he would have done a better job...I thought in journalism u shouldn't take sides or show ur opinions or emotions
No mention of Peirs Morgan interview with Ron Paul on CNN politics page.. just this blog.
Real fair CNN.
Thank you Piers for both demonstrating how liberal you are, and how liberal like you don't understand economics at all. If as President your primary focus were on the poor, then you will quickly have no money left to take care of them. Thye reality is it works in reverse....make sure the economy is working well, and middle class and rich are making good money, and THEN you will have the tax base you need to take car of the poor. Creating programs to take care of the poor is easy. Making sure there is money to pay for them is hard (see: Greece). For a perfect example of this in Europe...who has the strongest economy? Germany. Where is their focus? On the poor? No-on the economy. This is the reality that causes issues with your typical liberal mindset. Ron Paul is exactly right. If you REALLY care about the poor, you will make sure we have an economic and monetary policy that allows for growth. Then you will have fewer and fewer poor people to take care of, and more and more money to take care of them with. Focus on the poor, and opposite will occur, which is beneficial for no one.
TO: RICHARD BAMBRIDGE- I could not DISAGREE WITH YOU MORE !!!! If Ron Paul would be given more time to answer questions and not be rushed by the commentator-I believe people would be able to get a clearer picture on where he stands on things-but the media has been doing this all along to him-- cutting him off not letting him finish –giving him an unfair advantage -not to mention the fact that the media has so blatently had a conspiracy against this man-they treat him as though he does not exsist in this race--they blatently leave his name out on purpose on news stories routinely-like when he came in 2nd in New Hampshire-all news outlets were not even mentioning his name-they would say Romney 1st and then skip to who came in third--never even mentioning the fact that Ron Paul came in 2nd!!! I myself am up in arms over this-its downright WRONG – UNJUST -CORRUPT and EVIL !!! They go to all sorts of lengths to rail road Ron Paul –do whatever they can to put him in an unfavorable light !
The pt. Ron Paul made about the British youth was spot on--why should you be offended by what he said ??-That makes no sense to me at all --Did you even hear what he was saying??? All he was saying was:; WHY IS THE UNITED STATES EXPECTED TO JUMP INTO WAR WITH ISREAL ???? Piers was egging him on -but if Isreal attacks Iran you would'nt think we should join in ?? He was simply saying- WHY DOS'NT ENGLAND SEND THEIR YOUTH TO GO GET KILLED TO HELP ISREAL AGAINST IRAN??? IF YOU DON'T WANT TO –THEN WHY THE HELLL SHOULD WE WANT TO !!! WHY ARE WE EXPECTED TO !!! ?? He certainly did'nt mean he WANTED English youth to be hurt-he was making a GOOD POINT–that is all !! You can't see that ?? Isreal has already said they can defend themselves.....SO LET THEM !!!! I AM AN AMERICAN-- I AGREE WITH DR. PAUL-AMERICA NEEDS TO BUTT OUT OF OTHER COUNTRIES BUSINESS AND START FOCUSING ON THEIR OWN COUNTY AND HELPING THEIR OWN COUNTRY !!! -God knows, we need help!! WE SHOULD NOT BE POLICING THE WORLD AND IMPOSING OUR WAYS ONTO OTHERS !!! We should not be funding 900 bases in 130 countries-it is WASTEFULL MILITARY SPENDING THAT IS SERVING NO PURPOSE & Ron Paul is the only one pointing this out--We need to bring them all home and concentrate on protecting our OWN darn borders and building up our military HERE AT HOME !!! That's what's going to make our military strong--not spreading it thin all over the world !!! Paul says we should stop sending military aid oversees–brilliant idea!! We are BROKE !!! lLIVING ON BORROWED MONEY-& ENOUGH OF OUR OWN PEOPLE ARE STARVING!!! Charity needs to START AT HOME!!!! IT is that warmongering mentality that got us into this hole to begin with and we are sick of it !!!! Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate with sense in his head and the RIGHT ideas on how to make America strong again and keep us trully safe !! Our military back Ron Paul more then all the other candidates combined including Obama-– That says it all right there!! --our military IS NOT WRONG!!!! You respecfully sir, really need to go to Ron Paul's websites and learn more about him--because you are totally wrong about him !! Ron Paul is seriously our only hope to save America!!! You could'nt be more wrong- all this is aside from the fact that he is simply the most HONEST, UNCORRUPT candidate we have ever seen the likes of ! The man gives back HUGE sums of money to the US Tresury every year of his own accord to help pay down our national debt because he is a man of principle- he dosn't talk a good talk--this man has walked his talk for years and years never waivering in his ideals. Do some cking into him--if you take the time to -I promise you-you will be impressed with the record of Ron Paul !
This is precisely WHY everyone else wants America to police the world-so they don't have to. 'Course they get mad if we do it when it negatively impacts them, too....but if we can spend our lives and our resources towards something they want, hey, they're all for it. I think Ron made an excellent point there, and Piers completely moved on past it...because he had no come back at all.
Ron Paul for 2012. He is the only one. Thanks CNN and Piers Morgan to try to manipulate the public opinion. Ron Paul for 2012.
BRAVO! DonnaB ! Better, Truer words were never spoken.........
Piers: "If I were President I would be for the poor FIRST" FUNNY stuff!! Do you forget you were on American programming before this show and America's got Talent? I remember first watching you on Donald Trumps "Apprentice" You were the most RUTHLESS, CUNNING, MANIPULATIVE, CUT THROAT, SOB's ever to participate on that series. Now you are a damn SAINT? HAHA! How about you take your British accent and your country and blow up Iran yourself, FIRST for once.
This interview is proof that the media has no respect for Ron Paul. Piers Morgan sucks, and so does MSM.
Piers Morgan should learn how to listen. He could learn a lot from his guests, and so could listeners, if he weren't so enamored with his own views. The Ron Paul interview is a perfect example and Morgan does this all the time. He asks a question, doesn't even make an attempt to listen to the answer, and jumps in with another question. Piers Morgan has bought the total liberal package. Why conservatives go on his show is beyond me. As with most of the media this show is just a guise for democrats and their agendas. What a waste of a viewers' time. How wonderful it would be if some network decided to ask serious questions and listen to serious answers from the candidates. Then voters would have some real information to use in making voting decisions.
I agree with Ron Paul on everything but 1 he should put more focus on the Middle East more
Send your comments to CNN about tonight's show:
You ask a Presidential Candidate about football. I'm a chronic football fan but dude, you are talking about real life. What a waste of time. Ron embarrassed you with his answer. Like, who gives a rats ass when the world is in chaos. You spoke way more than the interviewer. Shut Up you egomaniac.
PLEASE PLEASE,, Let the MAN finish.. Ron Paul speaks with truth and just...What is wrong with letting this man talk..Morgan this is not about YOU, STOP, put a muzzle on YOUR mouth Mate'.. He was never aloud to finish one sentence,, Funny, pierce being a British man, speaking on American soil, pushing HIS views,, are kidding me..... Ron Paul has the COMPLETE CORRECT directon to fix the issues of the USA and beyond, he thinks abroad, and with that comes balance and stablility... ... But, as always Americans will shut out the truth, and follow the cattle to slaughter.... Ron Paul is a very true strong and willing to keep the usa free... Pierce, Cant wait for you to put on your british army rags and defend ...Ron Paul has been railroaded so many times, and the man waits patienty and respondes with great knowledge... I am SOOO sick of having neighbours that think they ARE the police of the world too.LISTEN to Ron Paul, he had answers for Pushy Pierce and Pierce couldn't sit and shut up.. Where is Larry King, Larry would have allowed Ron to speak and at that WE as viewers and citizens and neighbours, WOULD have seen more of the great knowledge of Ron Paul.. Instead , we get Pierce and his puppet show... I agreewith comments above; why didnt Pierce just have a picture of Ron Paul there and just speak to the photo..
Excuse the spelling and grammar friends,, Im just to pi**ed off right now....
LOL! The Paulbots have their panties in a bunch! Ron Paul is a fake and a hypocrite. There is no better proof than this. And Anonymous has revealed what most sane people have known, that he is a racist and a white supremacist. GREAT JOB PIERS MORGAN! What a fake Ron Paul is!
One thing you could do to improve your view is to TAKE YOU HEAD OUT OF YOUR SH_TTY ASS, wake up and realize you're a complete, total IMBECILE. Educate yourself – oops, sorry, your ass is still compromised.
CNN management you may be saying there were lots of complaints about tonight's interview but we got the people to watch the show. Just want you to know I happened upon the show and watched because I wanted to know more about Ron Paul's stance on issues. However, as said earlier it turned out to be all about Piers Morgan. I won't be tuning in to the Piers Morgan show again. Chalk off yet another CNN program not worth my time. I'm from the era when TV interviews were done in earnest because the channels/networks seriously wanted to provide a service to the viewer.
Respectful interview, considering the fact that Piers is a certified liberal. It was insightful, informative and to the point. Both men did well.Usually don't watch CNN for it's liberal agenda, but I'm glad I watched this time.Congressman Dr.Paul is a very well informed and intriguing figure with a lot to offer and to learn from.
I really enjoy your show. However, I think you would be a much stronger interviewer if you would actually allow your guest to complete their sentences. You interrupt so much. It is quite disrespectful. You are a very intelligent man, but wisdom is intelligence used appropriately. You might want to consider trying it. I am sure your guests would appreciate it. I would.
CNN doesn't give a d.... about its viewers feedback. It is running the Ron Paul interview again ,when it should have its head deep in the sand. I hope Dr. Paul will read these posts to know how the people appreciate and respect him.
The big picture of how he is blatantly ignored by the media is truly scary! Democracy or illusion?
There were many times in the interview where I thought Piers Morgan was trying to push his opinion rather than hear the opinion of the candidate. I am not much of a Ron Paul supporter, but I would have liked to hear his views and let him have the chance to finish he answers.
Other than Piers Morgan's horrible performance, I was glad to see some of Ron Paul's replies that were lucky to get in. They were intellectually on a level that was way over Morgan's head. It's like watching a fifth grader trying to debate a physician.
I so agree with you people about Piers Morgan's pushy interview. I thought I was just tired and end up seeing things. I turned on to CNN and saw what looked like Morgan's trying to trap Paul by doing rapid questioning. It was a disgusting tactic that I never expect CNN to pull. CNN is my favorite news channel and I believe for the most part, CNN is neutral. As I kept watching, I was so glad Paul answered very intelligently.
Is Morgan's show so bad that he's trying to get rating by doing this? Anyone know?
I wish I could sue CNN to get back the hour I wasted watching Piers Morgan trash a great American. If Piers is so intent on going to war with Iran, we should all pitch in a few pennies each, buy him a plane ticket to Tehran and let him go kick it off. I'm sure he'll make a nice impression.
Good grief Morgan, SHUT THE F@#$% UP FOR GOD'S SAKE and let your guest answer a question. Could your thought process be any more simplistic and inaccurate? Holly smokes! You missed out on the honor of learning about critical issues from a truly knowledgeable American hero. You were like a child; only thinking about what you were going to say next, instead of listening. Welcome to the NWO Morgan; you are a real "asset". Will post in our FB group/network, WE THE PEOPLE to not bother with any of your future interviews unless you apologize and interview Dr. Paul again with duct tape over your mouth. Just hand Dr. Paul a list of questions.
Mr. Pierce, I used to respect you and your show until I saw how you completely skipped over or sped up certain subjects. You are probably trying to tell yourself that what you did was right, that you had a large number of questions to ask and the only way to ask all of them (including the completely pointless ones) was to interrupt Ron Paul with another. You opened the show with, "Ron Paul will not be your American President." How can you say things like that? Would you introduce Mitt Romney as "this man will be your American President." It infuriated and saddened me to realize that "they" have gotten to you too. I'd like to see Ron Paul challenge you to a 25-mile bike marathon.
Ron Paul is an outstanding young man. He answers a question with an answer while others answer with an attack. More people should give him their attention. Ron Paul, making sense while making you think. I hope to see more of him.
Piers, I have had it with you!!! Since you love socialism so much why don't you Go Home?
Where is Larry King when we need him? This interview is a joke. I am not a big Ron Paul fan but he is a bright guy with MANY great ideas. Piers what are you doing? You won't let him answer. I don't normally look on the internet but i was getting more and more angry watching this joke. I wish Ron would tell the guy to shut up and let him finish or don't bother asking the question. Your bias is so obvious. I am trying to watch Ron Paul and hear his thoughts and you just keep interrupting.
Piers go back to England...and take your Socialism with you
I just finished watching Piers Morgan's interview with Dr. Ron Paul a second time, that's right two times just to make sure I was this bothered for a good reason. Guess what? Dr. Paul is such a gentleman, if that had been me, I would have lost it. Congratulations to Dr. Paul for having had to endure what has to be the worst interview I have ever witnessed....twice. Giants or Patriots?...
Thanks CNN. Because the last night interview Ron PAul got me to help him to be elected. Congratulations Piers Morgan, Man you are ignorant......unprofessional.
Hey Piers, why don't you start explaining to the American people why you were FIRED by the Mirror on 14 May 2004 after authorising the newspaper's publication of photographs allegedly showing Iraqi prisoners being abused by British Army soldiers from the Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
Within days the photographs were shown to be crude fakes. Under the headline "SORRY.. WE WERE HOAXED", the Mirror responded that it had fallen victim to a "calculated and malicious hoax" and apologised for the publication of the photographs.
Hey CNN, did you not check out this slime ball before you hired him?
Good interview..better than all the republican debates so far do to the fact that Ron Paul actually got to answer some questions. RON PAUL 2012! Let the Revo>UTION continue!
Many people are deeply discouraged at the state of affairs in America. They look at goings-on in Washington and see graft, power grabs, senseless regulations and spending and a government completely out of control, having grown far beyond the size and scope that a free people should ever permit. They’re confused about ongoing wars around the world. They are puzzled by the dampening of economic opportunity. People are worried about the future…
These people are right! Some are active in politics and trying to make a change. Others are discouraged to the point of utter cynicism. There’s a third path here that I highly recommend and that is the path of winning hearts and minds through education, first of the individual, and then of others through every way possible…
We must recapture what it means to be free. By this we need not all become policy wonks or waste our time studying the details of this or that political initiative or sector of life. We need to form a new approach to thinking about society and government, one that imagines that we can get along without such central management…
We need to become more tolerant of the imperfections that come with freedom and we need to give up the illusion that somehow putting government in charge of anything is going to improve its workings, much less bring on utopia…
To embrace the idea of Liberty is not a natural condition of mankind. In fact, we’re disposed to tolerate far more impositions on Liberty than we should. To love Liberty requires an act of the intellect. It involves coming to understand how all the things we love in this world were given to us under conditions of Liberty…
We need to come to see government as it is, not as we wish it to be and not as the civics books describe it. And we need to surrender our attachments to government in every aspect of life. This goes for the right and the left. We need to give up our dependencies on the state, materially and spiritually. We should not look to the state to provide for us financially or psychologically…
Let us give up our longing for welfares, our love of wars, and our desire to see the government control and shape our fellow citizens. Let us understand that; it’s far better to live in an imperfect world than it is to live in a despotic world ruled by people who lord it over us through force and intimidation…
We need a new understanding of what it means to be a great nation; it should mean, as George Washington said, that our nation is a beacon unto the world, not that we conquer the world militarily, impose our will on everyone, or even remain number one in the GDP rankings…
Our sense of what it means to be great must be defined first by Morality…
We must come to imagine Liberty again and believe that it can be a reality. In order to do this, we don’t need songs, slogans, rallies, programs or even a political party. All we need is access to good ideas, some degree of idealism and the courage to embrace the Liberty so many great people of the past have embraced…
Liberty built civilization. It can rebuild civilization. And when the tides turn and the culture again celebrates what it means to be free, our battle has been won. It could happen in our time. It might happen after we’re gone from this earth. But it will happen. Our job in this generation is to prepare the way…
Go home and save the queen already!
We Americans, have a country to save...
Larry King would be rolling in his grave if he were dead... an absolutely shameful interview! King used to actually listen, he wanted to understand the person, and their opinions. Morgan had an amazing opportunity to demonstrate journalistic integrity and really help the American public break through the propaganda, but he fell miserably short. Yet another sad day for CNN and for America...
From what I can see it was just as well I do not watch Piers Morgan. He is an obnoxious man. I honestly do not know why anybody watches him.
Piers is the epitome of poor punditry. His questions are long, as if we tuned in to know what HE thinks. He doesn't let the guest complete an answer and his agenda nulifies any fairness in the interview. BRITIANIA WAVES THE RULES
I wish there had not been so many interruptions.
A question was asked and oftentimes before Dr. Paul could answer in full he was inturrupted.
But I do appreciate the hour long interview and I give Mr. Morgan lots of credit for that.
All I can say is RON PAUL 2012!!!
He is the most principled, intelligent, moral and correct-thinking person in government today – let alone of the 5 left running for the presidency.
THIS MAN IS SIMPLY THE GREATES STATESMAN WALKING THE EARTH TODAY.
I am into half of the interview with Ron Paul. What a corporate tool Piers Morgan!. Ron Paul isn't given a second to breathe, and when he tries to answer, he gets interrupted 30 seconds in... I cannot wait for this mega corporation to wheeze its last. Viva el internet!
Right on, MR. Paul ! Why British are not taking care of the problems of Iran getting nuclear weapon. Mr.Morgan
did not have an answer or did he? I can not stand this man's fake smile and remember we turn in to listen what your
guests have to say not what YOU have to say. CNN must know there are many unsatisfied viewers from the comments
They do actually quite a bit in the world. They have the 3rd bigget military in the world after the US and China and do their share of work around the world. If you want to berrate countries for not doing their part then look to Germany, and most of the other wealthy European countries who do squat.
Why does Piers asking a question regarding foreign policy mean that he is for it? I'm sure if Paul was for it, the Piers would have pressed from the opposite point of view. Nobody on here seems to understand that the purpose of an interview is not to be pro or against an interviewee , but simply to remain neutral. Just because Piers was not pro Ron Paul does not mean he was against him, there is a difference between being neutral and questioning someone's stance and being against them.
First an interviewer should stay neutral. Piers was anything but that. How do you get neutrality from this interview? Sure you Brit's have the third largest military in the world. Look at the cost's of these war's. America with over 5000 soldier deaths and 3500 American contractor deaths. The total cost to America of its wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus the related military operations in Pakistan, is set to exceed $4 trillion – more than three times the sum so far authorised by Congress in the decade since the 9/11 attacks. Brits have had under 400 soldier deaths. How much has Britain spent? I cant find it anywhere. The Ron Paul POINT is that neither us nor the Brit's or anyone for that instance should be acting as interventionists.
Well first I am AMERICAN, I just don't like to see us be so arrogant to our best friend and ally. I agree that non interventionism is best, but I don't like the way Ron Paul said that about the Brits because they do send their kids already and Piers does have family in the military. It would make sense that the US has lost more since they were our wars that we started. On a per capita basis, 400 Brits is like 2000 Americans though.
Judging by the comments it appears that Piers now has O'Reilly-itis...this illness manifests itself in the host taking over the interview instead of asking questions and shutting up.
Piers Morgan is a joke. As an interviewer, he is biased and rude. I have seen him do this in several interviews and it makes my stomach turn. I only watched the show last night because I was so excited to see Dr. Paul get a fair interview. What was I thinking – Piers Morgan ...fair? I will never watch Piers Morgan again.
I was an avid Ron Paul supporter until this interview, but I thought it was tasteless the way he said about let the British send their kids to die. Regardless of what your opinion of war is, he was sitting across from a British person (Piers) who has family in the military. It didn't show tact at all and made me think that Ron Paul would not be very diplomatic. On a side note, Piers' questioning Paul on abortion bordered on silly.
Jim, how is not appropriate if the interviewer is prodding another country to send theirs over to die?
If the British truly needed our help, we seem to always help them...and the British seem willing to also help us if we need help. Perhaps there is a fine line on when a friend truly needs help or expects us to carry their hap sack. Our government is responsible 1st to their own people so they could not put their own people at risk in trying to do more than is actually needed for an ally. Ron Paul speaks truth very respectfully despite how others may be behaving disrespectfully.
Quite surprised, Jim, to read that you totally did not understand Ron Paul when he stated to Piers to let the British send their soldiers off to war and die. Ron Paul stands for peace and diplomacy. He doesn't want to see any soldier sent off to war unnecessarily. His point was why is the U.S. looked at at being the country that has to police the world and initiate confrontration that will only end up with serious consequences for our servicemen and women? As he said, aggressive behaviour is for dictators and it's not what our country was founded on. - It's unfortunate that you absolutely minsconstrued Ron Paul's response. It's that kind of thinking that is going to keep us in the rut we have with the many warmonger politicians that are aiming at another war with Iran.
Hey Lynne, I completely agree with you. I did understand what Paul was saying, but what I took issue with was the rude and undiplomatic way in which he went about saying it. Diplomacy is very important role for the president and I wanted Ron Paul to be president more than I've ever wanted anyone to be, but frankly after last night I have serious doubts that he is presidential material. Remember the Iraq war and Afghanistan after 911, the Brits were among the few who helped us in everything we did. Even the CVanadians did not go to Iraq. I just feel like the reason the world expects the US to police the world is because like with Iraq we usually instigate the conflict.
because he was asking a presidential candidate their policy re war/military, not representing Britain. I wasn't aware that foreign journalists were judged on their nationality rather than interviewing skills. There was no need for Paul to make such a crass comment about our best ally or any other country for that matter. To me it sounded like Paul was not simply saying he would like to abstain from war but that he was saying he couldn't care less about bad things happening as long as it wasn't to Americans as if our lives are more valuable. I think it is right for any president to put Americans first, but Paul's comments seemed cold, nasty, and not needed IMO. It really turned me off and I was really gunning for him to win.
If he's trying to steer Paul to a big government, neocon global police answer then it is wholly appropriate. I understand your point but if so then it's inappropriate for any foreigner to promote the US doing something on their behalf. Piers prods him to interventionism, Paul can prod Piers to support that for his own country and indeed his own family.
I know where you are coming from, but it was Piers' job to prod the interviewee and challenge their views so they explain to the public why they take that position. Piers would have promoted the opposite view had Paul taken a strong interventionist approach. Had Piers simnply said 'you're right best to not intervene' then the public would not have found out why Paul is against intervening.
Also , I think people are forgetting that Piers was prodding Paul. Why should the interviewer be proded, his opinion is irrelevant as he is not running for office. We do not know Piers' opinion on this matter as he as the interviewer remains neutral. Paul was free to answer however he liked, I don't think he would/could be prodded by Piers into changing his position, but again that was not Piers' intention as the interviewer.
Hey Jim, interviewing skills... what show were you watching? What I saw was a no talent limie ask a question and rather then listen to the answer... number one rule of conducting an interview by the way, he was thinking what to ask next so he could interrupt that answer. That was the whole show. Ask a question, interrupt, ask a question, interrupt.
As far as sending British kids to die, where is the rule written that the USA has to send American kids to die in every hot spot in the world. I case you didn't know it Jim, England created the state of Israel, let them send their kids to die to protect them. F@%k Israel.
The interviewer should be proded when he turns it into a debate instead of an interview.
What a horrible show. Ron Paul kept his composure even though at one point he had to say "please, let me finish...". Piers missed the point a couple times and didn't shut up enough to give Ron Paul a chance to explain his views. He should take some lessons from Charlie Rose who really LISTENS to his guests and seeks to ask questions to LET THEM EXPLAIN their views thoroughly. I don't watch Piers regularly and really won't now. I thought he wanted to talk more about why so many young people follow Ron Paul and that hardly came out during the interview. It was just a shame and a waste of what could have been a good hour of good discussion. I think Ron Paul stood his ground and made some excellent points – especially on foreign policy issues – so not all was lost.
It is possible that Piers asked the questions without wanting answers. Maybe he hoped to plant seeds of doubt by his questions to Ron Paul...without letting Ron Paul have the chance to 'speak' on the matters, only the seeds of doubt in the questions would remain in the minds of viewers. Maybe that is how they get around 'outright putdowns'. Just ask a weird question and skip answer time and there you have it. In light of that, it is amazing that Ron Paul got any answers in* If Piers had been told to do this, he did not do it flawlessly...the Ron Paul fans have their #. BAD JOURNALISM was not what we listened to CNN for. This episode will give us doubt about CNN, NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It certainly looks like Piers Morgan lost alot of his base tonight. I was shocked to see such utter disrespect toward
a person. He continually interrupted Dr. Paul & talked over him several times. It was a very poor attempt at interviewing
if you ask me. It certainly did not make Ron Paul look any less Presidential..in fact the opposite, as he showed poise & grace. The sad fact is that it showed PM to be a low class act. Several of my friends have voiced the same opinion & will no longer tune into his program.
Piers of garbage. Terrible interviewer and just plain rude. Why ask the question and then just interrupt a couple of seconds in? Ron Paul still owned you though...YOU and/or YOUR CHILDREN can die or loose their limbs in Iran. We don't want another war based on lies.
What a disrespectful interview with Ron Paul! I could not believe the number of times Piers would not let Ron Paul finish his sentence. Even thought I am an Obama supporter, I gained an enormous amount of respect for Paul last night and was very interested hearing his views. I only wish Piers had let him finish his sentences.
Piers is only able to interview hollywood types. Interesting he does not interrupt "celebrities" when they are on his show. Piers, you need to stick with interviewing hollywood types. You have more respect for them during interviews. CNN please move Piers to an entertainment tonight type of show. He does not belong interviewing anyone other than for entertainment related stories. You've got the wrong person for the job. He has complete lack of respect. He is not a real journalist. He is tooting his own horn. Piers, we do NOT want to hear what you think when you interview someone else. jeeze, Baraba Walters would be a better choice. She does not interrupt anyone, whether celebrity, politician or other.
Piers, you need a therapist. Your ego has run amuck!
I think Piers wishes he were a presidential candidate. Last night he was pretending he was in a political "debate" with Paul. Piers, your role is to interview which means ask questions (provocative questions are fine) and then let the person you are interviewing ANSWER the question.
In case you need a definition Piers: An interview is a conversation between two people (the interviewer and the interviewee) where questions are asked by the interviewer to obtain information from the interviewee.
How can we get that info if you are not letting the other person speak????
Seriously CNN – get this man some psychological counseling. He needs help. Piers' wife, if you are reading this, please get your husband into cognitive behavioral therapy. He needs it. No ones ego should run their life.
It will be difficult to continue to watch your show Piers until you get the help you need.
When I read reports regarding US involvement in foreign altercations the reports most frequently begin with "The US-led coalition...." The world has been quite comfortable with letting the US take the lead in policing the world. Statistics prove it- check out this BBC article. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11107739 This is why Americans are tired of war, our children are dying for causes we don't even completely understand or support. Our country is being bankrupted by war and we are tired of it. The deaths of US military servicemen and women do not even compare to the thousands of soldiers that will come home suffering life-altering injuries and PTSD. We are watching drug-crimes sky-rocket on our southern borders-our government is supposed to provide for the COMMON defense...of OUR country – not the world. Israel has one of the best trained military's in the world. If they want to go to war with Iran, that is their business. Ron Paul is 100% right. Mr. Morgan, your interview was seriously lacking in depth and respect. I don't typically watch your show because I find you to be pompous. I watched strictly to see Dr Paul. – your interruptions were both rude and only highlighted your lack of ability to embrace serious, neutral journalism that informs and educates. Quick-go find a celebrity to interview about their new show or their recent divorce-that seems to be much more up your alley.
Shannon the rest of the world allows us to police because our govt wants it like that. They have our media spin it as though they are reluctant. These crooked politicians have been playing this game with the world and American public for many decades. Your right in that our soldiers come back dead, wounded, mentally and emotionally troubled. Our govt w/CIA have figured out its much cheaper to use our troops as minimum wage mercenaries. Both parties are in this scheme.
I agree. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I work in Marketing (yes, I know spawn of satan) and I know how the game works. I'm from Texas and Dr Paul has been in our conversations for quite a while. Bill Hicks was telling us about the Government puppets long before we were ready to listen. VOTE for FREEDOM – VOTE RON PAUL!!
PLEASE VOTE FOR RON PAUL TO SAVE THIS COUNTRY!!!!!
and please get rid of Piers Morgan! He is so full of himself!!!!
First let me say that I watch and normally enjoy your show. However, I've noticed that you do tend to be short with some of your guests. Sometimes you do not allow them to fully answer your questions. This was the case with Ron Paul the other night.
He did get you, though, when he answered your question about how he felt about US involvement in the Iranian/Israeli potential conflict. You were thoroughly surprised and nearly speechless for a second when he responded... why doesn't Great Britain control that situation and sacrifice her youth and money.
Used to be that Great Britain controlled over half the planet and had wars at the drop-of-a-hat. Victoria even had the audacity to have herself referred to as "Empress of India". Remember the British "Empire"? Remeber too that the British controllled the American colonies before our independence and have a great deal of the slavery issue/burden to bear, but don't hear much of that blame going around either.
Anyway, Mr. Paul gotcha, and I loved it!!
Firstly the founders of this country were BRITISH. Britain ended slavery well before the US and played an active part in ending it here. Secondly it is never a bad thing when a politician is grilled, it gives the public more info. aul was given plenty of time to reply. A lot of people on here seem to forget that the majority of Americans are British and the backbone of this country. There would be no USA without Britain.
1/2 the people are British? Are you kidding? Check statistics my friend. I'm NOT British – never have been, never will be – I don't think the NATIVE AMERICANS were British, and I'm pretty sure that immigrants have come to America from all over the world. Hence the term "American Melting Pot". I would also dare to say that Mexico and Latin America have contributed many, many more citizens to the US than the GIANT Kingdom of Brittany. Seriously? Much of the Southwest used to be MEXICO. Do you live in the US or is this just your generalization based on TV shows that you have seen?
Shannon, yes I am American and I can tell you that there are many many cultural groups in the United States like Mexican, German, Irish, but the single largest group came from England, Scotland (PLUS Northern Irish/Scotch-Irish), Wales...those are British. As for there being more latin Americvans, I was not just talkling about people being here but about actual citizens here legally. Obviously yes the largest group of people here now is mexican, but again I was talking citizens.
Also Shannon most of the important parts of our culture come from Britain also. Just take language and religion. What language are we speaking. As for religion, Episcopal, Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal/Evangelical movement, Quaker, Congregationalist all began in Britain therefore I would consider that to be of British culture.
First the founding father's were AMERICAN. Not British. Pretty sure they were not wearing redcoat's. The founding fathers lived in a time where absolute power and the rulers of that power abused it absolutely. People left England because they were losing their rights. The Bill of Rights, ratified in 1791, was the result of more than a century of experience with rights in America and many centuries before that in England. America has made it's own culture. Look at the two nations, they are distinctly different in almost every way. Sure they both have Christianity but I would attribute that to the Romans far before the Brit's. Also our democratic republic is closely connected with Rome. To claim the U.K. as the cultural capitol of the world is a ridiculous statement.
Well in fact your ethnic orgin and culture does not change depending on whether you are fighting for separation or not. Your argument is like if democrats and republicans fought a war centuries later saying they both weren't American. It is revisionist history and ignores the fact that the revolutionary war was a civil war between 2 factions of British colonists, look it up and you will see that nearly all of the red coats are today fellow Americans. It was hardly like all the Brits in the colonies were unified against the British parliament, that is why there was a war.
It is also important to remember that the rights being fought for already existed in Britain. The public over there were represented, the colonials were taxed without representation, but that was not the case over there. Talk to some Brits and you will see that our nations are similar in nearly every weay.
As for culture, no you cannot attribute it to Rome. Greece was the beginning of democracy, but it was not the source of democracy here. The American colonies were British colonies which is why we have the legal (for the most part) and political freedom we have, which was rooted mostly before the revolution. Had any other country colonised the US then it is unlikely that the freedom that allowed such a revolt over taxation would have occured.
As for the for of christianity, had it not been for protestant reforms in Germany and Britain the catholic church would not have changed and we would likely have kept a society that was religiously more like the middle east. If you understood history the idea of liberty and protestant reformation were closely intertwined.
I will never watch piers morgan again, He really showed his british side, He should go home, Ron Paul has all of my respect, Admiration and my Vote Ron Paul 2012
At least half of thev people in this country are British. The war of independence was fought over taxation, a temporary political issue, I mean we have plenty of taxes without representation nowadays. Liberty and democracy were already alive and well in Britain which is why we are such a great country. Had any other country arrived here first we would probably be poor and living in a dictatorship! Enough of the anti-British rhetoric on here, it shows just how bad our education system has gotten.
Jim, are you really that STUPID? Time for you to go finish your bowl of fruit loops.
Well instead of just calling me stupid back it up with facts. Which ethnic group is larger than British? Nearly all Americans who count their heritage as "American" are British because British-American culture is the defacto American culture that the melting pot added to. So since I am so stupid, which group is larger than British?
Monarchy is a form of DICTATORSHIP. Where the hell are you getting your info?
Aron, yes monarchy isdictatorship, but Britain has a parliamentary democracy, the monarch is a figurehead with no real power. England fought a civil war over this issue long before the American revolution.
I'm so glad I'm not a Republican. Even still, after he was ostracized from media coverage and the debates four years ago, I've been glad to see the media finally give Ron Paul some coverage, so that I could understand his rationale. Many of his warnings have come to fruition. My wife and I very much looked forward to the Piers Morgan interview. Several times, I found myself yelling at the TV..."Shut the F@#K up Piers!!!...and let the man talk." It was shameful, disrespectful, unprofessional, rude. British manners, perhaps? We'll avoid Piers Morgan now. While CNN has been our principle source of news coverage from its conception, I think this is a big smudge on CNN...like smelling dog crap on your shoe...and CNN needs to reevaluate this kind of shameful, unprofessional and demeaning performance. Ron Paul, as a respectable straight shooter, deserves a new chance to have a professional interview on CNN.
I wish Piers would shut up and let his guests talk. I wanted to hear what Ron Paul was saying.
The Piers Morgan show is one of the best on TV and Piers is the best interviewer on TV. However, the interview with Ron Paul was a joke with some of the dumbest questions being asked.
In addition, Piers looked visibly uncomfortable with the whole thing. I suspect his (anti-Paul) bosses at CNN forced Piers to do the interview this way. There is no other logical explanation for such a great interviewer like Piers Morgan to conduct the interview in such a shabby manner.
After reading all these comments I have one more thing to say regarding the anti Britishness on this board. It shouldn't even enter the equation. You guys are judging an entire country based on Piers Morgan's interview skills, how crazy is that?? Put another way it would be like someone deciding that Americans are bimbos because Paris Hilton said something stupid. This issue has nothing to do with Britain.
God Bless Ron Paul ! The Golden Rule Baby.
Dear Mr. Piers Morgan. I have now started to watch ur evening interviews, initially avoiding them! I am a British (Army) Veteran, living here in California.. and I was disheartend when you interviewed Presidential candidate Ron Paul last evening) when he challenged you to sent British Soldiers ("kids") to the Middle eastern (war(s). You did not respond to his terrible error, thus I wish you to remember, we are the strongest supporters of our United States Allies- in 'their quest' for peace in Afghanistan (and previously Iraq) Sir, I would like to remind you that MUCH British blood has been spilt in these countries- I feel insulted you did not remind Presidential Candidate- even though he shall loose at 10% of the vote- Dr. Ron Paul! Sincerely, John W. Boston
I know I found the ignoreance on this board and of Dr Paul last night shocking. My apology to you and your great nation as an American. I have noticed other times on the show when people have made snide comments about Britain Piers has ignored it. I think he doesn't want to be seen too defensive of Britain and let's the rudeness of those insulting it speak for itself. Any educated person know the sacrafices Britain has given to the United States. But I agree, it would be great to see Piers correct this.
I just read your comment regarding being offended by Ron Paul's comment about sending British troops in to fight the battle. Ron Paul is a candidate that promotes peace and diplomacy. He does not want any soldiers lives being lost in these wars, whether they are American or foreign soldiers. The reason he made that comment was because people are so quick to jump into wars and many people in the U.S. feel it is our job to go in and "save" people. Firstly, we can'd do this – we're broke and have no money to be spending on these wars. Secondly, Ron Paul has stated in past debates that anyone who can so quickly say that we should look towards starting another war should consider if they would want to send their own loved ones into battle. Piers Morgan was pushing the subject of how America should follow through, and Ron Paul turned it on him to say that if you feel that strongly about it, send your country in with their soldiers and have them risk their lives. We are living amongst warmongers, and people are starting to wake up to the fact that we can't police the world and take on any further undeclared wars. The past Iraqi war was a fiasco. Let's learn a lesson!
Ron Paul is the only one who could beat Obomba .Truth wins in the end ! Very rude interview with Dr. Paul. Lost respect for Morgan.
When I want to understand a person, I won't be listening to a Piers Morgan interview with that person.
+1 for shut up, Piers.
Get a transcript - count the words.
And you showed very poor manners with your constant interruptions.
I thought Ron showed great restraint in not putting you in your place.
Pierce did not demonstrate fairness to Ron Paul. I always watch Pierce Morgan show every night and one thing I observe is that all the interviews he did, i.e. Jimmy Carter, John McCain, Newt Gingrich and even Herman Cain, he gave them the chance to make a statement on every questions wtihout interruption. In the case of Ron Paul, Pierce was rude to handle the interview. He was showing arrogance. It is very obvious that Ron Paul was frustrated on Pierce by alerting Pierce to stop and give him the chance to continue. Pierce is doing this kinf of interview fo put Ron Paul down in time for the Nevada Caucus.
The reason that Piers is now practicing "journalism" in America is because of the crackdown on the Murdoch news monopoly in the UK; he is an asset to this mafia-like industry. Ever watch his testimony to the Leveson inquiry?(highly recommended) From that, one would know that he is not a journalist, but an actor, liar and part of the problem.
There is no estrogen in Plan B. Plan B is progestin-only, as is EC in other countries, because estrogen is NOT well tolerated as EC and causes a lot of side effects. The "estrogen shot" method (google the Yuzpe regimen) isn't used anymore, which only goes to show how out-of-touch/senile Ron Paul actually is as a physician.
This had to be the worst interview I've ever seen on PM.
Who was being interviewed here?? We don't care what Pier's thinks. We tuned-in to hear Dr Paul
but Piers kept interjecting while espousing his own opinions displaying Pier's democratic bias.
RP should have put his manners aside and controlled the interview. When Mitt's 'gaffs' were raised RP should have said, times a wasting.. This is MY interview!
I'm hear to talk about what ails America and what I plan on doing to correct it.
Ron Paul is an idiot with no respect for women's rights.
I'm voting for Ron Paul even if I have to write him in. I'm tired of choosing the lesser of evils. No more.
If any of you were as displeased with this shameful interview as I am write to CNN ask for interviewees and VIEWERS be given respect as well as time to answer questions. In responds to all of our comments Piers Morgan wrote, "just deal with it..."
The following link is the CNN contact page...
please mention the link of where he said "just deal with it . . . . "
also if anyone knows the link to the facebook page calling for his firing – please post it here.
, , frank
Here's just one of several Facebook pages dedicated to trying to get Piers Morgan off the air.
Let the Europeans enforce their own sanctions on the Iranians. The US has done enough in the region.
Piers, i totally lost respect for you since your interview with Ron Paul.
i will never watch your show again, unless,of course, you apologize to him.
Dr Paul, you were great, as always. My only criticism is that my wife thinks that it is ok now to vent on me, since she heard your theory on "sound board".
the entire video was extremely frustrating to watch, since piers was not letting paul talk... he kept interrupting him
I am a "nice" Canadian and at American election time I will at times watch CNN. However I finally had no choice but to turn Piers Morgan off during his monologue with Ron Paul on Feb 3rd. Mr Paul should have just walked out. What a rude arrogant person Piers Morgan is. Why doesn't he and his reporter cohorts give their salaries to Mr Romney's "poor" and In Mr Morgan's case go back to where he came from. What an awful man he seems to be and what a gentleman Mr. Paul was. My guess is you have lost some of your ratings as of last evening.
I am so glad to be Canadian and ashamed my roots are the same as Morgan"s...................Donna Plant
I always liked Piers Morgan interviews for his straight forward questions. But, this interview was very poor. He never allowed Ron Paul to finish his answers. I bet Piers talked most the time during the length of this interview cutting Dr. Paul in the middle. This was rude.
That was the first and last time I will watch Piers Morgan. What a rude, pompous ass!
It is quite clear where CNN's political stand is. I was very upset at the interview, only to find everyone else agreed with me and have wrote similar pieces. Piers was rude to Dr. Paul. I felt bad for the man trying to talk about his views on the world he would not let him finish. It was all what your station wanted it to be. It is ashame when you probably would have more viewers watching CNN and stop trying to be just like the main stream media. etc No balls company NBC, A buncha crap ABC and Crooked broadcasting station CBS. How come you reported how rude Jan Brewer was to the President, but never brought up the man throughing the shoe at the President Bush. Wake up CNN you just might make crap new network CNN. P.S. Jan Brewer for President. She was right in every way. He doesn't like to be checked when needed.
This interview was just pathetic, he wouldn't allow Ron Paul to answer any questions without constantly interrupting. How the hell did this arrogant moron get this job? The answer: the mainstream media does not want honest journalism, they want to tell you how and what to think.
Dear Piers Morgan, Why would you start off with "Ron Paul is not going to be president"?
–would you start your introduction to the interview like that with Gingrich, Romney, or Santorum?
you've made a very good point.
i can only hope that CNN management is hearing us.
i firmly believe that if we weren’t able to watchdog this fiasco and reporting/challenging it in our own words – history would be recording it much differently.
if this is the way reporters like P. Morgan manipulate the news in front of millions of viewers – then I can only imagine what happened during WWII, Korea, Vietnam when no one was watching or the communications systems were primitive compared to today’s internet.
I also believe that this fiasco isn’t over just because the interview ended. we should all be calling for another interviewer by the best CNN has to offer.
CNN should also be apologizing to American Ron Paul supporters and those good folks around the world who are also concerned about the way Dr. Paul was treated from the beginning of the show.
Did anyone notice how CNN reps today were mentioning Dr. Paul’s name far more frequently than usual? I’m sure our comments are getting through to them.
Also, earlier this evening while watching CNN report on entrance polling results and all of the other stats – I’m beginning to wonder how much this influences voters.
Sounds as if Morgan did a poor job here. Regardless, I coudn't vote for Paul. I get that we need to live within our means. I get that you shouldn't buy a house you can't afford, or anything for that matter, and that unless for some reason it's in the public's interest, we shouldn't bail anyone out for that either. But I draw the line at someone's life. Paul's answer to the question posed at one of the debates, that he would let a 20 something (or anyone for that matter) die, because he wasn't smart enough astute enough, or honest enough to buy health insurance, is just plain wrong. I fail to see how you can be so anti-choice and yet say this is the decision you'd make. We're human beings and we make mistakes. But money is not as important as someone's life. Folks, we're all in this together. That was very tell, and the people in the audience supporting Paul's answer, was so disappointing and scary to me. Is that REALLy the society we want to live in, where we'd rather let someone die, than fork over a few tax dollars? Is that really civilized? Think about it.
He didn't say that. The media said that when they reported on it and you believed it. He did not say that and in fact, his exact response was "No" that he wouldn't just let them die and he went on to explain the situation. If you don't want to vote for Ron Paul-do your own research and make sure it's justified, not because of lies that the media told you in order to influence your vote.
And 3 neocons cheered for that answer...not the crowd as reported...the same people who cheer for war. You can hear approximately 3 people. He has thousands upon thousands of supporters and you're talking about 3 plants who could have been there for Gingrich for all we know. He was a compassionate doctor and treated people who didn't have insurance as well as those who did. How many did he let die? Did you even watch this debate you cite? You certainly don't seem to know what happened in it...yet you state the events as fact. Sounds like you read a typical article that was purposely full of inaccuracies.
It seems to me that if Ron Paul wants people to see him as presidential he needs to step up and make his views heard instead of letting the interviewer suppress his responses. Why didn't he step up and say "Let me finish Piers!"?
Wow – the desperation of the true believer is amazing. You can support Paul or not, but denying what he believes is a pitiful play.
What a load of crap "Dr. Paul" is employing to instill hatred and fear amongst average, uneducated, American GOP-baggers.
IN NO STATE of the USA is it legal to perform a 3rd trimester abortion unless there is a serious risk to the life of the mother, the baby is GROSSLY deformed, or there is some other really compelling reason to abort the fetus.
And yet his dishonest approach is to ask if it would be permissable to kill a baby 1 minute before it's born, just because it would be inconvenient to give birth.
That's not even CLOSE to the truth, and as a doctor, he knows this all too well.
Piers has it wrong. The Piers Morgans hour isn't about him.
I'm sick of his arrogance. He spends his time arguing with the interviewee.
He did the same thing with Suze Orman.
Doesn't doing an interview imply that there's another person .. there to be heard?
It seems Piers is too busy pontificating to care.
I'm sure CNN management is looking at the repercussions of the Ron Paul interview very closely – and it goes without saying that they're taking some sort of internal action or have have warned him. Perhaps they've discussed our many comments and what we're calling for in our comments. Hopefully other potential guests will refuse to be interviewed by Morgan. Perhaps CNN will apologize for the way Dr. Paul was treated and offer to redo the interview with CNN’s best interviewer.
We should continue to monitor the Piers Morgan show to see if improvements are made or will Morgan continue to mistreat guests like Dr. Paul? I believe this particular show was unlike the many others – so there’s a level of prejudice evident with the show in question.
Republican Ron Paul is an opportunistic fraud who is more interested in selling his books and making sure his sketchy “Campaign for Liberty” operation can send him big consulting checks in his retirement, than he is interested in promoting citizen liberty and limited government. Do not trust him.
RemainCalm, i guarantee you are mistaken. Ron Paul doesn't even talk about his books during interviews, debates or speeches and when asked what book Ron Paul would recommend, he recommends "The Law" which wasn't even written by him. You should remain calm at this news, go pick yourself up a copy of "The Law". Be astounded by the depravity of our current law compared to "The Law" by Frederic Bastiat. Written in 1848 as a response to socialism in France, this book essay is just as relevant today as it was then. You will also see the similarities to socialism and BO's regime.
The frauds are all of the rest of the candidates OTHER THAN Ron Paul....just different faces of the same picture other than Paul.....Do we want to examine who other than Paul sells books? Do we want to examine who of these candidates makes money by consulting?
Very rude interviewer! Why do we get this Brit? Mabey some women out there like that accent, but I speak for 100,000,000 people in America...It sucks!
I agree with some other bloggers above. Piers was very interuptive to Ron Paul. I was so turned off. It was like Piers was on speed. He would not let Ron answer a question. I just started to enjoy watching Piers after he took over for Larry King but know I don't know. It was very rude how he treated Ron Paul and disrespectful contray to how he treated other candidates. I hope he can redeem himself by giving Ron another interview and let him speak more than two seconds per question.
2/6/12 – CNN newsroom
Today on the CNN Newsroom results of a recent CNN Poll (feb. 1-4 ) were shown.
Obama – 51%
Romney – 45%
Obama – 54%
Gingrich – 43%
where’s the poll numbers for ?:
Obama – ?
Paul – ?
as shown in recent CNN polls.
Please Blitz and Jack tell it like it is.
It’s becoming more obvious Dr. Paul is getting a bad rap at CNN.
The Piers Morgan proved it to Ron Paul supporters around the world.
Please report the truth instead of sweeping it under the carpet.
, , Frank Carbone Jr.
Either Piers is kissing celebrity ass or he is pushing is own agenda. You never let Ron Paul finish a single sentence. Why even bother asking his thoughts on anything? You should have spent the hour telling us your thoughts on every issue....ohhhh wait, you did. I love how you continually tell us how great things are in Britain. Do us all a favor AND GO BACK THERE. It is the good ole' USA that has put you in the top 1% isn't it? I wonder how quickly you would want to redistribute your wealth if it was going to force you to downsize your lifestyle. However, paying a little extra won't affect you or your lifestyle which is why you can recommend it for everyone else. BTW I have this opinion and I am NOT in the top 1%.
I'd watched Piers give interviews many times, always thought he was clever, intelligent and respectful. Then he interviewed Paul, and I thought I was watching another Bill O'Reilly... "where did that come from?" I thought.
I too thought Piers was higher class than this seeing how well he dressed and clean cut his hair is. But this interview showed how far behind Piers Morgan's intelligence is to Ron Paul. They were a mountain-ranged apart. At one point, I kind of fail sorry for PM (it was during his 'utter defeat' look to the camera right before the commercial), but I didn't since he was the one who was at fault.
Dear Mr. Morgan,
I watched your show so I could hear what Dr. Paul had to say. I'm interested in his opinions. Not yours! You made a complete ass of yourself.
Geeze Pierce-were you afraid Ron Paul might answer your question fully and completely and sway a listener? You cut him off and talked over him on just about every question you asked him. Why bother asking him at all. You don't treat your other guests so contentiously. Your contempt for his positions was so obvious, but you never managed to rattle him as intended. You could have heard a pin drop however when he suggested you send over British kids to get killed. That was the only time you were momentarily stunned speechless. Seriously-let him speak and let him finish. I normally like you, but it came off as rude and frankly, a little desperate.
Morgan's a fool for sure, but Paul is clearly not pro-life. Exceptions are a window to the soul.
If any of you were as displeased with this shameful interview as I am write to CNN ask for interviewees and VIEWERS be given respect as well as time to answer questions. In responds to all of our comments Piers Morgan wrote, "just deal with it..."
The following link is the CNN contact page...
Amazing what a bunch of rubbish. For Gods sake if you ask a question you don't want an answer to why ask the question? You might as well have talked to a mirror the whole time all we heard was you firing question after question without giving the man a chance to even reply. Ron Paul was trying ever so politely to answering just one question before he was probed with another. It was as if though you were given the directive to make him look foolish how ever you could. I used to like to watch you, but you made me angry just watching the show, now it was clear you were just another puppet whose strings were pulled by your media bosses. If you watched your own interview back I really cant see how you could be proud of yourself as an unbiased journalist. it was amazing to watch. horrifying but amazing that when a man says we don't have the moral right to invade a country that has done nothing to us at the moment, you said but Iran is different, and wen Ron Paul said why does the US have to be the world police and why don't the British send their own kids in harms way you fell silent. Amazing... simply amazing that we have come to this...really Piers I was expecting more from an English Gentleman.
Piers – WHAT A POMPOUS WINDBAG. I have never seen such an awful interview. No one cares what he thinks, even if he's interrupting others with his crass, classless paparazzi-style journalism – just spitfire as many questions as you can at your target, and if they don't tell you what you want to hear, spitfire more.
I can't believe a television program would give him regular airtime, and I'd be even more surprised if anyone gave him any credibility. I will never watch his program again.
From a very early age, Piers Morgan was nourished, not on milk, but a steady diet of British tabloids and tabloid culture. He absorbed the openly combative gloves- off style of getting the story first by any means necessary rather than getting the story right the first time. He eased seamlessly into the killing fields of endless circulation wars. Piers carries his scars with pride - even as Rupert Murdoch's empire (for which Piers was an enthusiastic foot soldier) is under siege for phone hacking and influence peddling. Piers (somewhat nervously) appeared before the Leveson Commission in the UK on his role in this culture of crime in pursuit of news. The past is never completely buried and can claw its way to the surface at the most inopportune times - stinking to high heaven. CNN, curiously deaf to its viewers' opinions, may soon regret engaging this highly-touted but curiously underperforming British asset. Meanwhile, we click our remotes in search of other choices.
I love Piers Morgan as an honest, open-minded, passionate, caring and doesn't candy coat the truth . . . which I really appreciate. He we make a great president . . . although, he would probably never get elected, because he has fresh, new ideas that don't follow into the redneck (mind controlled) way of thinking that most politicians and business men and women are opposite to. ROCK ON Mr. MORGAN!!!
II don't watch much television, but I always look forward to watching Piers!!!

Undeniably believe that which you said. Your favourite justification appeared to be on the web the simplest factor to bear in mind of. I say to you, I certainly get irked even as other folks think about worries that they just do not recognize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , other folks could take a signal. Will probably be again to get more. Thanks
