As Whitney Houston's passing made news on Saturday, Piers Morgan anchored breaking coverage from Los Angeles, while music legends and industry insiders shared their reaction to the tragic news. A shocked Simon Cowell somberly remarked on the relevance of her passing:
"This is going to be one of those times Piers, where you’re going to remember where you were when you heard the news, it's that significant. She was undoubtedly one of the greatest superstars of our time. One of the greatest voices in our lifetime we’re likely ever to hear."
Music executive Tommy Motolla noted Houston's historical significance, and place on a larger scale.
"It’s the loss of one of the greatest treasures to the world, of not only music but to everyone around her," said Mottola. "She was what we considered and what I considered the gold standard. Really broke all barriers and set the goal for everyone to achieve."

one of the the cd's i usually have in my car every day is i'm your baby tonight....that cd blows me away and watching her sing the star spangled banner blows me away to this day and watching her sing "i have nothing" still brings tears to my eyes....
what can one say. there was so much more for her to do in her life. i just don't understand it. RIP girl.

Mr Morgan, i have heard a lot on Whitney Houston , about her God given great voice and how much of a star she really was, . But one thing everyone left out (from what i have heard on tv) was that she never got naked or all most naked to entertain. , she dressed decent , Her voice made her a star, that's true talent .

Piers, talk about the real issues. It wasn't just the loss of her voice, the pressures of the music business or her relationshio with Bobby Brown that pushed her into addiction. She was dogged by rumors of being gay for over a decade. Her life took a significant turn for the worse when her partner/assistant, Robyn Crawford, exited the picture. This is not just " juicy gossip". It matters and it is worth discussing.

I don't even really know/understand what ietttwr is but I suspected all along that it was DANGER! for this very reason. I found myself getting quite sucked in by FB and now have to limit that too. I stay up way too late chatting and reading about people online!
