Ron Paul on the youth vote: "I'm the one person that can take young people away from Obama"

In the wake of Mitt Romney's three state victories this week – and looking ahead to Super Tuesday – this evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes Ron Paul for a candid interview.

Currently without a win in any of the primaries or caucuses, the Republican from Texas maintains he continues to win delegates, especially those from the younger demographic:

"In almost every state, I think, essentially every state, I always win between the 18 and 30 year olds. I always win that," reminds Paul. "If they're thinking about the future, or the Fall election, I mean young people are very, very important."

With an impressive presence on social media, and views that seem to appeal to the youth vote, Paul tells Piers Morgan he's the only candidate who can truly battle the president:

"I'm the one person that can take young people away from Obama. But nobody in leadership's ever come and said 'Ron, what is it that the young people like about what you're doing?'" reveals Paul. "I think they're afraid of the answer, because it might be, well maybe a little less war, and maybe a little less spending."

Tune in to "Piers Morgan Tonight" at 9 p.m. ET/PT as the Republican race's oldest candidate shares his views on Iran, and contraception.

The Republican party has lost their way. They adopt the neoconservative agenda of continuous, pre-emptive wars and nation building. Polls show that 68% of the American people are oppose to war. The only Republican or Democratic presidential candidate I can support is Ron Paul.

The republicans works for zionist interest, not about the welfare of people of america. They spent 4 trillions in wars to satisfy the zionists and helping Israel indirectly. The simple losers are americans and have to pay trillions to asian for the misadventures

Ron Paul is the only one I will vote for..... Can we pen him in ?
Love our country please. Let's start by be honest first. Iran has No war heads but it sure has oil that we need.
Israil has 3000 nukular war heads and has attacked other countries but is our friend and we support it with our tax dollars and has no oil to give us yet it bullies us. Iran has never attacked any country in the history of iran. Loving our country means educating ourself and our children first and not getting our news from FOX NEWS owned by who ?

Free media for a safer America.

Mitt Romney's campaign reminds me a lot of the WNBA. It shows that you can throw a whole lot of money at something and make it appear popular, but at the end of the day people are just not excited to watch women play basketball. Romney has no exciting ideas to contrast with Obama. Watching Romney attack Obama is honestly like watching women play professional basketball since he is so weak on core conservative principles. Maybe that's why he is speaking to empty buildings and having "fake" homemade signs distributed out to his audiences. Money can buy a lot of things but money cannot buy backbone. The GOP needs backbone to win this election. Ron Paul 2012

Romney need to start being honest and stop lying. Let's not forget Bush who took us into war looking for WMD based on lies, lies, lies. We lost our brave young men and women because of liers. Will any of Bush and Romney kids go fight a war? Romney will be worse than Bush.

The truth is that the main reason that younger voters support Paul is because they don't get their news from the dinosaur corporate media. Yes, his message is pure, inspiring and young in essence but it's because of the internet and the opportunities it gives to research information from all sources, enabling a fuller understanding of the situation, which gives Dr. Paul the edge among that demographic. I mean the MSM doesn't talk about Romney's abysmal record of fiscal conservatism as governor or Santorum's hypocritical positions on social issues or the fact that the other 3 are essentially the same as BO with the same nanny/authoritarian approach to government, it's just that they have an "R" before their name.

No wonder the 50+ is so anti-Paul, they get their news through FAUX or the other corporate dinosaurs. As long as 90% of the media is controlled by 6 corporations that are in bed with government, there will be no positive change in this country.

Piers! How does Ron Paul know Iran is not near having a nuclear weapon or that we can contain them? Is he going to just roll over when one is heading towards some unlucky country that Khamenei/Ahmadinejad thinks, merits one? He's an idiot if he thinks Iran will talk about their nuclear program or weapon count with him when they won't even talk to most of their own people. And now they're rolling out their own parallel internet called "Clean Internet" so they won't be letting their people get any media out – if they can help it. What about Syria? Would he just let scenes of genocide happen "here, there & everywhere" without as much as lifting an eyelid? The world politico doesn't work like that; it would be great if it did, but it doesn't. Please, tell him that

Lastly, I think he has some kind of deal done with Romney; I can tell that by the way he answered your questions tonight...he just drops hint after hint in the mannerisms he gave his answers. So...I can only pray...he never gets to where he thinks he's going re; a Romney partnership.

Obama, will win re-election come 2012...for that, I'll thank God in advance.

Iran has never invaded any country unlike Israil. Iran is afraid of Israil with its 300 nukular war head. We need oil from Iran and we send our tax dollars to Israil to bully our goverment why, why ?

He knows b/c he read the IAEA reports and listened to the men who reported on them HONESTLY. You can read the reports too– they are available for download. He also knows how this is just another hype to suck us into another 10yr unwinnable war which only profits banksters and military industrial profiteers. He knows about BLOWBACK as defined by the CIA, because he's been LISTENING to the ppl involved for 40 yrs, and to the military and CIA men who were in charge of the Bin Laden fiasco, e.g.; and b/c he read the 9/11 commission report, and b/c he's old enough to know better than to swallow rumors of war coming from D.C. warmongers and their shills in MSM. You should know better too by now. The troops aren't buying it, and ppl like me who have lived their whole lives watching this country buckle under "preventive" illegal undeclared wars that are not wars. Dwight Eisenhower: "Preventive war was an invention of Hitler. Frankly, I would not even listen to anyone seriously that came and talked about such a thing." ..."We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex." These invasions are illegal, immoral, and WE CANNOT AFFORD THIS. HOW ABOUT LET'S GUARD OUR OWN BORDERS FOR A CHANGE.

Even young people know about this how is it that its the older generation are too blind to not figure it out by now? Even with Mainstream media bias all you have to do is think for yourself and ask a couple of asserting questions to figure this out by now. We'll all find out soon one day. It'll either be the hard way or the impossibly, unforgivingly Greek style pandemonium way.

I'm tired of living in the 'Post 911' world that would require everyone to continuously live in fear. It's an open doorway for all the government do-gooders to steal everyone's privacy away from them and toss personal liberty to the curb.

Whether you realize it or not, the Obama administration is no different than the Bush administration when it comes to destroying the freedoms that Americans were led to believe, and some still believe, they had.

Being constantly under surveillance of the government under the premise of 'protecting me' is a farce.

Go ahead and strap them chains to your ankles and bow to your leaders. It's only deserving of those who think government is gonna 'make all things better'.

Agree 100%. Dr. Paul's views are controversial enough so that there's no need for the jabbing interruptions and cheap shots like on most shows. Just ask him a question and let him roll. My favorite response from Paul was that Russia had 30,000 nukes and we never went to war with them, Iran has none but the war drums are beating.....! Ron Paul 2012 I love the guy.

This is off the politics sujbect, but just so folks are aware.Symantec has revealed that a portion of its Norton Anti-Virus source code has been stolen by hackers.Symantec is saying that it is old code but considering the corporate CYA that occurs in this sort of situation, I'd be changing my AV solution if I was using Norton.a0 I'm just sayin' .IMHO, I think Norton AV stinks anyhow, just as badly as McAfee. But they're the big boys what do I know.

Piers I do not know what your religious beliefs are and what you think about Jesus being the only Savior of the world but in response to Santorium's comments about Satan running wild in this country he is exactly right and the Bible proves this point when Peter stated that "Satan our adversary is roaming about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour." That atheists news reporter you had on your show recently and the conservative spokesman that just passed away may make fun of Jesus and Satan now but I can assure you that ONE DAY EVER KNEE SHALL BOW TO JESUS AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL CONFESS THAT HE IS LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINGS TO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER and they will also truly believe in Satan on the day they die because they will be sent to Hell to suffer for all eternity just like Satan will when Jesus finally binds him and cast him into the lake which burns with fire and brimstone.

You know when they said "Satan" in the bible, they didn't mean a little red guy with a pitchfork and a pointy tale, right? It was more of a personification of the bad that is in certain men's hearts, right? I cannot begrudge someone their faith, but people like you who believe in a literal translation of a book written back in the bronze age, you have a mind that is not flexible, and I believe that you, sir, are what really threatens our country.

And all that Rah-Rah about hell and the burning and the punishment by your "loving lord" it's played out and us atheists would really like you to create a new way for your Compassionate God to punish us for eternity, it that wouldn't be too much trouble.

      Good Day, Sir

Well mt dear Bro. Matt I am sorry that you are an atheist my friend and I will be praying for you and your soul. Yes I believe in a literal translation of God's Word for "His word shall last forever" and although you atheist do not be;live in Him you one day will just as all of us will for Hell is a real place for the unrepentant, and Heaven is a real place for the saved/ One is a place of eternal suffering and one is a place of eternal glory it does not matter what you are I believe about it it only matters what God says about it..

        Dear Bro. Pete,
Well yes I am a nut and a preacher of the word of God but I know one thing for sure God's word is relevant today just as it was in the Bronze age. God's will will endure for ever. I am very confident about two things, nut or not, Jesus' love is available to all, if they will only believe. The other thing is that His wrath is sure and certain on all those who do not believe/

Almost 40 year old here! Voting for Dr Paul tommorrow here in Washington State, March 3rd. I've volunteered at some of the locale rally's and let me tell you there are as many middle age people as there are college kids. The media always has to try to make him look like there's nothing buy scary, teenage, drug addicts that support him. That is a bold face lie!
