On Wednesday's episode of "Piers Morgan Tonight," guest host Donny Deutsch tried his hand at a hair-raising edition of "Only in America."
Evaluating various follicular choices made by the nation's past president's, Deutch suggested that the upcoming election may be a case of "Best Hair Wins."
After comparing JFK's 'do to Richard Nixon's widow's peak, and then putting Ronald Reagan's pompadour up against Jimmy Carter's coif, the television veteran peeked ahead to the upcoming race for the Republican nomination:
"Let's look at [Mitt] Romney and [Rick] Santorum. Santorum, although sporting impressive locks, is showing some early receding while Romney shows no recessive traits, whatsoever. Romney, the winner!"
Referring to an eventual red-blue showdown between Romney and Barack Obama as a contest of "two follicle heavyweights," Deutsch suggested that come November, the incumbent will prove victorious, "by a hair."
As the segment wrapped, the guest host takes one parting shot at the man for whom he's filling in:
In the words of Deutsch, "Only in America": "Piers, while that wispy bouffant may work on your side of the pond, over here, this [touches own hair] is what's considered the hard currency."
Watch the clips, and hear Deutsch "trim the sides, and bring out the highlights." It's business in the front, and party in the back, as he creates a very special buzz with his "Only in America."
