On Thursday evening, Guest Host Week rolled on for "Piers Morgan Tonight," as comedian, actress, and television personality Rosie O'Donnell pulled up a chair in the CNN studio.
Filling in for Piers Morgan, O'Donnell brought her usual brand of comedy and candor to the "Only in America" segment, detailing the grand opening of a Las Vegas-based, glow-in-the-dark, miniature golf course modeled after a certain iconic American rock band:
"I'm talking about KISS," declared the guest host. "The platform shoes, the make-up, the whole tongue thing, remember them? They've been glamming it up since the 1970's. For KISS, it's always been about the music man. Okay, so maybe now it's about the money too, man."
Featuring the largest KISS gift shop in the world, O'Donnell concludes that in agreeing to the project, the band has ushered in a new low of American commercialism, something she herself may opt to capitalize upon:
"Maybe I'll take that to heart, and I'll reconsider some of those offers I got last week," she said. "To sell Rosie O'Donnell's Kosher for Passover brand Matzah ball soup. Or better yet, maybe I'll record a country album with Rush Limbaugh. Then we'll hit the road, to promote it. It's the Rush and Rosie show. Giddy up!"
Watch the clips, as O'Donnell sinks a "hole-in-one," and proves she's ready to "Rock and Roll All Nite," in this one-time only edition of "Rosie Tonight."
