Tonight: Rick Santorum On His Bowling Skills and Rallies at the Alleys

Sen. Rick Santorum joins Piers Morgan tonight and reveals that he is a secret bowling aficionado – he was an avid bowler growing up and owned his own ball and shoes. Santorum's bowling skills have come to his aid on the campaign trail in Wisconsin, where he started holding "Rallies at the Alleys." He told Piers about the bowling game that started it all.
"We went out to Sheboygan and I said, 'Well heck, I haven’t bowled in years and years,'" said Santorum. "In first ball I didn't get a strike, but then I threw three strikes in a row, which was shocking but this campaign has been a shocking campaign, so why not? So we decided after that that we’d have a bunch of rallies – we call them 'Rallies at the Alleys.'"

Even if Santorum loses Wisconsin, he'll have won at least one victory in Appleton, Wisc.: "I faced up against a tough opponent – a 16-year-old girl who was a very good bowler and she had an off game and I got lucky and I edged her by 2 pins," said Santorum.

Right on with Rick Santorum. I think politicians who brandish their faith should not be given a free pass. They have to explain when their actions conflicts with the tenets of their faith. I work at a cancer hospital and see young people die because they could not afford care and leaving behind young children to grow up marginalized. Does Santorum care about the smallest among us like Jesus did?

Interesting interview with Rick Santorum. One error I would like to point out. Santorum says that he does not want Government dictating what health insurance a person should have. He neglects to mention that when a person has employer provided health care the employee does not have a choice in the health insurance program provided. That is a decision made by the employer, i.e. dictated by the employer. With the affordable care act a person has MUCH more choice! As a government employee he does have a choice – and that choice is paid by me and all other tax payers.

Great job Mr. Morgan, love how you put Santorum on the spot with your question regarding his being a Christian and denying people health insurance. So tired of these so called Christians who clearly do not act as such.Being a Christian is more than talking about being one. It's about behaving as one and doing unto others as we would have them do unto us. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have health issuance need to think of those who aren't even if it means paying higher taxes.

Cannot believe this guy is a presidential candidate based on his responses to the international attention of the Trayvon Martin case, gun control in America and especially given the incident on the CA college campus today. Wanting to attribute it to human misuse and not guns. I would truly be afraid for our country if he was elected.

When I heard Santorum's explanation of his approach to health care it was precisely what Obama's health care reform law stipulates, except without the advantages. Santorum would have us choose our own insurance provider with subsidies for those who can't afford insurance, no denial of coverage for pre-existing conditions but employers who provide insurance get tax cuts to stay in the insurance business. Somehow Santorum thinks this means more choices for everyone. Of course Santorum never answered Piers' actual question–does Santorum really propose would simply abandon people who can't afford insurance? It was a totally revealing response and I only wish that Piers would have called him on it.

Americans especially Republicans will never get it. Actually defending guns. right to bear arms, right to defend your property, right to kill animals for 'sport'. As Santorum said "guns don't kill, people do". Well by that logic then leagalize all drugs. Afte rall drugs don't kill, people taking drugs kill themselves.

The US, the most violent country by far in the Western World. The vast majority of gun deaths are not between strangers, are not caused by people defending their property. Ridiculous.

Want to defend your property, how about an alarm system.

Americans have a gun mentality that defies logic.

Remove guns from your streets/homes & maybe people with anger issues etc will reach for something less tragic to get their point across.

Keep your gun mentality, stop health care for all. Wow! quite an impressive enlightened country in 2012.
