Coming up this evening on "Piers Morgan Tonight," American journalist, television personality, and game show host Meredith Vieira joins the program for an honest and entertaining sit down.
After co-anchoring the famed morning show "Today" for more than five years, Vieira shares a special friendship with NBC's Matt Lauer, even poking fun at her former colleague's new $25 million annual contract:
"I was heading towards the bathroom, and I proceeded to vomit, after I heard those numbers."
All playful joking aside, the "Dateline NBC" and "Rock Center with Brian Williams" contributor has nothing but kinds words for Lauer:
"I'm not surprised, he deserves every penny," confesses Vieira. "Matt's really, really a talented broadcaster. And he's a lot of the reason why "The Today Show" does as well as it does."
Watch the clip, and tune in this evening at 9 p.m. as Vieira shares details of her new documentary, and reveals plans to take over "Piers Morgan Tonight."
