Coming up tonight at 9 p.m., "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes CNN founder, and media tycoon Ted Turner, for an exclusive sit down interview.
Upon hatching the idea for a 24-hour cable news network, Turner explains his vision:
"The emphasis should be on - hard news," says the 73-year-old billionaire. "I wanted CNN to be the 'New York Times' for the news business, not the - 'The Daily News.'"
Launching on June 1st, 1980, Turner worried less about Nielsen numbers, and more about his network's philosophy and reputation:
"Even if the ratings weren't the greatest. If - you had the most prestige and you were the network that everybody turned to in times of a crisis, that that was the most important position in the news business to hold."
Watch the clip, and tune in this evening at 9 p.m., as the legendary land-owner and philanthropist shares details of his three marriages, and explains life with four girlfriends.

Turner thinks it's awful that moneyed interests are taking over the country, who is he kidding? Many in Montana feel moneyed people like him are taking over their state__and they don't like him.
Its such as you learn my mind! You appear to understand so much about this, such as you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you just can do with a few percent to force the message house a bit, however instead of that, this is fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I'll certainly be back.
I seriously doubt a 100% tax on the waelthiest 5% would pay for national health care. Besides, the rich just alter how they get their rewards and avoid most of the tax.
