On Thursday, "Guest Host Week" continued on "Piers Morgan Tonight," as media mogul Harvey Weinstein pulled up his chair, welcoming Bill Clinton for an exclusive sit down interview.
An expert on entertainment, Weinstein tasked his guest with talking politics, as the former commander-in-chief shared his insight on Mitt Romney and his credentials for the nation's highest office:
"There's no question that in terms of getting up and going to the office and, you know, basically performing the essential functions of the office, the man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold."
But despite the GOP candidate's business background, Clinton shared his support for the incumbent:
"They have dramatically different proposals. And it's my opinion, anyway, that the Obama proposals and the Obama record will be far better for the American economy and most Americans than those that Governor Romney has laid out."
Shifting to a topic more personal than political, America's 42nd president opened up about his health, specifically his recent switch to a vegan lifestyle:
"When I had my second heart incident and I had to have these stents put in, I had passed all my physicals, I was doing great, I was still building up plaque in my arteries," revealed the 65-year-old. "So I decided that I wanted to see if I could live to be a grandfather. So I just went all the way."
Having lost a self-professed "bunch of weight," Clinton laid out his health hopes for the future of the country:
"The main thing is, we can't let these kids grow up to have a shorter life expectancy that their parents, and that's what's happening."
