On Tuesday evening, acclaimed filmmaker and producer Nora Ephron passed away in Manhattan.
As news of her death broke, Piers Morgan paid tribute to the woman behind such classic films as "Sleepless in Seattle" and "When Harry Met Sally," calling it:
"A sad day for anyone who likes great writing and great movies."
Well known for her work in the romantic comedy genre, Ephron's final film was 2009's "Julie & Julia" which she both wrote and directed.
Surrounded by relatives in a hospital, Ephron succumbed to pneumonia, at the age of 71.
