In the aftermath of the separation, and subsequent divorce, of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the Church of Scientology has issued the following response to CNN, and "Piers Morgan Tonight":
With respect to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorce, the Church has no comment. Please direct any questions to their representatives. This is and always was a private family matter and the Church will continue to respect their privacy.
With respect to your other questions, the Church regrets that excommunicated self-serving apostates are sadly exploiting private family matters to further their hate-filled agendas against their former faith. Having left the Church many years ago, these sources have no current knowledge about the Church and their recollections are distorted by their animosity.
Every religion has its detractors and these stories come at a time of tremendous Church growth. Anyone desiring correct information about the Church can find it on the Church’s website, www.scientology.org, which contains thousands of pages of information and hundreds of videos involving all aspects of Scientology.
Very truly yours,
Church of Scientology International

Coming up this evening at 9 p.m., "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes Mark O’Mara for a candid and revealing exclusive interview, touching upon the state of George Zimmerman, both financially, and emotionally.
Four days after posting bail, O'Mara opens about having to solicit donations for his client's defense strategy:
"I'm a bit conflicted by it, to be honest. We're trying to deal with the reality that George does not have any funds of his own," he tells Piers Morgan. "He can only get those funds from his supporters."
Noting that the situation is rather unique, Zimmerman's defense attorney explains how the case's overwhelming price tag left him little choice: FULL POST
On Friday, Piers Morgan used his "Only in America" segment to get down on bended knee, saying "I do" to the phenomenon that is the flash mob proposal:
"You see them in malls and markets, on YouTube clips and morning shows, the supposedly spontaneous eruption of artistic, romantic performance, a burst of synchronized loving improvisation, designed to catch people by surprise," explained Morgan. "They come in all kinds."
Rolling a clip from a recent such exhibition, viewers traveled to Manhattan's Bryant Park, for a proposal that "may have topped them all in sheer size and production values."
As video plays, Morgan introduces Allison, who is moments away from becoming the "unwitting star of her own engagement."
Dancers jam to Michael Jackson's "The Way You Make Me Feel," which serves as a mere scene-setter for the marching band that follows.
"I'm shaking," Allison mumbles.
"The camera work, the editing, all those extras, it's very Hollywood," suggested the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host. "All that's missing is some explosions for it to be a Michael Bay film."
But the true fireworks are in stomach of Craig, Allison's boyfriend, who navigates through the crowd, and approaches the stunned guest star: FULL POST
On Friday evening, actress and star of TNT's "The Closer" Kyra Sedgwick sat down with Piers Morgan for an engaging interview. Among the conversation topics was Sedgwick's long-time marriage to husband Kevin Bacon.
Sedgwick teared up while watching a clip of Bacon talking about their relationship of 23 years. "We're lucky," remarked Sedgwick. "It's absolutely luck and finding the right person."
"I think we did just get lucky, but I also think that we have the same priorities and I think that helps a lot because we know that our relationship has to be sort of the primary relationship and the primary purpose of our lives."
Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, as Sedgwick shares more about her "1st degree connection" to her famous husband.
Actor and producer Billy Baldwin joined Piers Morgan last week and talked about politics, a new film project and recent events among his famous family including the wedding of his elder brother Alec Baldwin. "It was a terrific weekend," said Baldwin about the event. "It was great to spend some time with the family."
Baldwin also remarked on his brother's recent altercation with the paparazzi: FULL POST
