Broadcasting out of his native England, this evening Piers Morgan welcomes Mitt and Ann Romney for a candid and revealing conversation that comes roughly 24 hours prior to the 2012 Summer Olympic Games from London.
A decade since the Romneys helped host the 2002 Olympics in their home state of Utah, the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host walks the couple down memory lane:
"There was a very poignant moment, when you were asked to allow someone who was your hero, to hold the torch. And you chose your wife," reviewed Morgan. "Tell me about that."
Reflecting on that period in his life, the former Massachusetts governor shares intimate details from inside the Romney family:
"Ann had been diagnosed with MS in about 1998. And she was going downhill fast. Her right side was numb. She was having a hard time getting up stairs. We were looking at potentially seeing a wheelchair in her future. As we got closer to the Olympics, and she got stronger and stronger, we were hopeful that Ann might be someone who could carry the torch into Salt Lake City. She made the kind of progress that suggested to the people who knew her that she was a hero," reveals Romney. "And for me, there was no one who had inspired me more than Ann. And so I nominated her to be a torchbearer."

While Friday brings the Opening Ceremony of the Games of the XXX Olympiad, but it also marks one week since the deadly shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, CO.
Joined by Mitt Romney from the Royal Naval College in England, Morgan asks his guest about the political debate that has risen in the aftermath of the movie massacre:
"President Obama, last night, in a speech, made a big speech which on the face of it, and he’s getting credit for this, looked like he was moving to change things," says the host. "If he called you up and said 'look, we need to get together in the wake of this, as I’ve said, the worst ever shooting, we need to get together, do a compromised deal, that just makes it more difficult for people like this to evade the system,' would you at least, in principle, be happy to have that conversation?"

Joining the host as the world turns its attention towards Friday's Opening Ceremony is a man with plenty of olympic experience, presumptive GOP nominee for the 2012 election, Mitt Romney.
Hired as the president and CEO of the Organizing Committee in 2002, Romney is often credited with saving the Salt Lake City Winter Games, and nearly a decade layer, it's an event he still draws from:
"People who learn the experience of leadership – whether in their homes, in their community, in their business, or in something like the Olympics. Those lessons of leadership can be applied to other circumstances," explains the 65-year-old Republican. "In our case at the Olympics we faced tough times, ...we built a strong team. I was able to establish with them a clear vision of what we needed to do. We tackled a budget crisis that we faced, and we were able to come together in a way, through unity, that that produced an extraordinary success."
Now, nearly a decade later, the former Masscahusetts governor aims to translate his success in Salt Lake City, into success in Washington, D.C., and across the entire nation: FULL POST

One day prior to the Opening Ceremony, "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes a man often credited with saving the olympics more than a decade ago, Mitt Romney.
Joining the host with his wife Ann by his side, the Republican Party's presumptive nominee for the 2012 election addresses those that view his business achievements as a negative for his campaign:
“There are people who are trying to attack success and are trying to attack our success; that’s not going to be successful," says the former Massachusetts governor. "When you attack success you have less of it, and that’s what we’ve seen in our economy over the last few years. Dividing America based on who has money and who hasn’t – who is successful and who is less successful. That is not the American way."
With the election roughly three month away, the 65-year-old insists that his accomplishments and professional victories will ultimately benefit him in his push to unseat Barack Obama: FULL POST
