Michele Bachmann on Mitt Romney's popularity among women voters, Paul Ryan and the best speech of Tuesday night

Piers Morgan joined Minnesota Senator Michele Bachmann on the convention floor and talked about everything from the convention speakers to the latest polls. The most recent polls show Mitt Romney losing in the popularity battle for women voters against Barack Obama. "You've gotta aggregate the data," Bachmann explained, "because if you look at it, married women tend to support Mitt Romney more, single women tend to support Barack Obama more."

Bachmann added that Romney's policies will definitely benefit married women:

"Mitt Romney's going to make life a lot more affordable. He's gonna bring prices down and that's really good for women because women do a lot of the shopping in families."

The former presidential candidate also weighed in on Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan. She says Ryan's "insider expertise, knowing the budget better than anyone else on Capitol Hill" is a great asset to the GOP ticket. Looking forward to Ryan's big speech tonight, Bachmann thinks the vice presidential candidate will "talk about the way forward and how we are going to make America a growth economy."

"That's what we need," said Bachmann. "We've been stagnant to falling [economically] and Paul has a great plan for seeing us grow."

Also, last night's speeches by both New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Mitt Romney's wife Ann Romney were fresh on Bachmann's mind and although Christie successfully talked about "big ideas" and "principles of who we are in this country and who we are as conservatives," Bachmann felt that the "night belonged to Ann Romney."

"She won us with her smile, the second she came out," beamed Bachmman. "What you see on stage is what you get. That is Ann Romney and she's just a delightful person."

Wouldn't the United States save a lot of money if members of the senate and congress received the same retirement benefits as a non-politician? Why can't they live on social security, and medicare so they know what the real story is on how to live on retirement.

Obama's second-term plans calls for a "New Deal"-style overhaul of the economy replete with the creation of a National Infrastructure Development Bank to oversee government control of the financial system; a massive, government-run jobs program to coincide with "paycheck fairness"; full amnesty for illegal aliens; defunding of the U.S. military while channeling Pentagon money to "clean" energy initiatives; a new, multibillion dollar "green" stimulus; and implementing Obamacare in measures nearly impossible to reverse. And that is just the start.

Just as Obama concealed the true plans for his initial term behind rhetoric of ending partisan differences and cutting the federal deficit, Obama's re-election theme of creating jobs conceals more than it reveals about his real agenda for a second term: the "progressive" program to complete the fundamental transformation of America during the next four years.

Piers, the plant closed under Obama and not Bush. Do your homework before you ask questions.

HI all, Just heard the msnbc and cnn guys crying about the comments being a lie about the plant closing in Ryan's home town. Ryan didn't lie in his comment, he just said what Obama had said at the plant prior to the closing. He didn't say Obama closed it, he just said it was still closed. Isn't it a GM plant, and didn't Obama claim to save the company? Though the plant was closed during Bush, it didn't get re-opened during Obama, that was the point. The media have been quick to slant to a fault in Ryan's speech, but it is not so. Check those facts, and see the Liberals trying to find fault when there is none.....Lonnie

The plant physically shut it's doors in June 2009, NOT 2008. Perhaps the decision was made to close it in 2008, but it wasn't closed before: A) Obama vowed to save GM and the Janesville plant which would operate for 100 years, and B) they had fulfilled their Mitsubishi contracts. There was plenty of time for Obama to "save" the plant like he promised. But he didn't. June 2009....almost 6 months after he took office. Facts is facts is can't subvert them.

Why don't you discuss the difference in retirement benefits between politicians and non-politicians. If you are really sincere about bringing down the debt this needs to be addressed.

Thanks for the update, as if it matters. GM is still running and the plant is closed.

I do not want to hear any derogatory comments coming out of Piers Morgan mouth about Barack Obama ever again! He not fit to criticize him in any way. Piers Morgan is unfit to make comments about him and should not be allowed, His comments should remain unbiased at all times considering his current history in the UK and is former job as a Murdoch lackey. I find everything that Piers Morgan utters untrue and unreliable and offensive

I completely agree with Consuelo. I have written to CNN asking whether Piers Morgan is anti Obama, and I also tweeted Piers and have had no response. I find it very wrong for a news figure to be biased. Piers is not a citizen of the USA and should not slant the questions and commentary against Obama.

Piers is not a news man, he is a celebrity and does interviews. Asking all kinds of questions. He has every right to ask any questions, and make any comments he wants! Go Piers go....

Mr. Pierce I was in awe about how CNN covered the RNC so respectfulil. Of course it was the right thing to do. But everyone knows across the way that aint how they play. 24 hrs a day Fox news is bashing the President of the United States. I sure hope President Obama can get the same repsect and coverage during the DNC on Fox news

Trying to make Mitt Romney warm and compassionate is a little like trying to make Richard Nixon into Ronald Regan. You either have it or you don't, Romney ain't got it. A cold calculating ambitious opportunist who changes his views when the opportunity arises will never be a Ronald Regan. I did not agree with Regan but he was likeable and came across at times as someone who really cared. Romney will have a hard time defending positions he has taken in the debates. The Obama team will study the Republican debates in Florida where Romney looked under-matched, flustered, stiff, and at times just babbled his way through questions.

Here is an important finding of the House Judiciary Committee...

Beginning in 2011, the Committee has learned that Obama administration officials at the Department of Homeland Security started to include numbers from the Alien Transfer Exit Program (ATEP) in its year-end removal numbers.

The ATEP is a joint effort between ICE and Customs and Border Protection that transfers illegal immigrants apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border to another point along the Southwest border for removal. But it is illegitimate to count illegal immigrants apprehended by the Border Patrol along the Southwest border as ICE removals. There are no penalties or bars attached when illegal immigrants are sent back via ATEP and they can simply attempt re-entry.

When ATEP removals are subtracted from ICE’s deportation numbers, the 2011 removal total would drop from approximately 397,000 to roughly 360,000 and the 2012 removal total would drop from about 334,000 to around 263,000 (annualized this is estimated to be a drop from about 400,000 to 315,000).

This means that ICE removals for this year will be about 14% below 2008 (369,000) and 19% below 2009 (389,000). So it is officially proven that while the Obama regime touts themselves as historic immigration enforcement achievers, the truth is they have cooked the books and broadcast this lie to the American public. They have done this with the full assistance of liberal media like CNN, ABC, and the Huffington Post which you can count on not to report the revelations contained within these reports!

If anyone tells you that Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than any prior president you tell them that is a lie and that removals for 2012 are down 14% below 2008 levels before Obama took office!

It is terribly unfortunate that American citizens have to form a political revolt against the powers that be to try to stop the invasion of our homeland. We must face powers that have used their influence to corrupt our own government and mass media against the best interest of the American public and against the truth.

Very few things in America can improve for us while such lies as these stand as truth.

Bottom line is ... calling a spade a spade! You have Obamacare looming. You have taxes expiring. You have a president clearly anti business, anti free-enterprise, believes NO ONE accomplishes anything without Big Government. A president's whose favorite past time is stirring the class-envy pot, a president who won't budge one iota on development of natural resources, a president whose latest fans are the lunatic’s from Iran and Venezuela, a president clearly doing a rendition of Tricky Dick's ‘duck & cover’ for his Watergate buddies, a president who encourages the Fed to print worthless money further devaluing an anemic dollar,....
Don’t hold your breath people. This so-called recession is a slam-dunk to morph into a full-blown Depression if our Kenyan Socialist is re-elected. You surely WILL get what you ask for!

Big Fin Deal. The issue lies at the feet of GM management, and the American auto industry in general who collectively let foreign car manufactures usurp the market. And, OMG, what is a politico to do? Take Government Handouts and give it to the big Corporations? Why, that sounds rather, Republican.

    Barack Obama:

Alias Barry Soetoro pawns himself as Barack Obama, the humanitarian, the POTUS, the campaign for hope and change. But we know better. Barry is a radical Marxist who was raised by Communist parents and Communist grandparents. His mentors were known Communists, his contacts in college were strictly Marxists supporters, Marxist professors and a group of Pakistani activists as stated in his book, “Dreams from My Father”.

Barack Obama, tell us about Frank Marshall Davis or Bill Ayers. Surely you remember Mr. Davis. After all, your mother knew him all too well. Mr. Ayers, a known terrorist, responsible for at least a dozen bombings, helped your early Illinois campaign by raising money, thru his organization Underground Weather. Tell us about your trip to Pakistan (’81) with Pakistani Wahid Hamid.

Share with us your ideals of socialism; after all you’re a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), referred as the “New Party”. Please tell us why you have been influenced by the writings of Karl Marx, the prelude to Communism. Share with us your association with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Do you justify this man’s message by condemning our country by saying, “God bless America? No, God Damn America?” Was this a forethought supporting your belief in Marxism?

Are these the individuals who have inspired you to public office? Are these the individuals who have inspired you to plot against the United States? Are they the people for whom you’ve entrusted your Muslim faith?

Please tell us why you mocked the Holy Bible and Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mount”, calling the sermon a radical message. You have mocked Christianity and this country. Barack Obama, you have betrayed this nation and all its’ people. Your skin is dark because of your race, but your soul is darker because of your deception.

United States of America………………you didn’t build it Barack Obama.
