Coming up this evening at 9 p.m., "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes singer and songwriter Alanis Morissette for a candid and engaging primetime interview.
A seven-time Grammy Award winner, Morissette tells Piers Morgan that she was a "love addict", quoting author Pia Mellody in saying "I was drawn to the back walking away."
Having since found true love in her husband Mario “MC Souleye” Treadway, Morissette says she knew he was the right one because they share a similar value in "seeing marriage as a hotbed for growth and healing."
"Not everyone – and I don't think including myself at times – views marriage as the alchemy that it really can be in affording of the wholeness," added the 38-year-old behind such hits as "You Oughta Know" and "Ironic."
Watch the clip, listen to the interview, and tune in this evening as Morissette explains how love "is a verb."

Alanis always was my hero but now I am convinced that she is a voice that fills in a huge gap for women. The understanding and the way in which she can describe what it is like to be this kind of being on this earth. a woman – THANK YOU we are not alone. Pierce, much appreciated broader view. Icelandic woman living in Canada and a resident alien of America
I like Alanis Morissette for being human (so human) and a beautiful brighty woman. Oh I forgot that she has also been a great artist, writing energetic or slow songs, with deep texts, view on life (downs and ups). Also love her way of being beside marketing "tricks" (do not forget promotion and communication Alanis to show that you are back, with styles of songs varying all along your life. Nice and refreshing to see that in our world. From Paris with love! Thank you Pierce for direct but not too "impolite" questions during interview.
Congrats to Alanis on finding her soul mate. Seems like she is really happy with her choice to marry Mario Treadway. I wish her nothing but the best.
Just read Pia Mellody's work! It's put so simply that maybe 90% of the Worlds population can 'Hear' her! Bless her and bless those who admit to it – publically. thanx Alanis!
