Live Tonight: Newt Gingrich and Jennifer Granholm debate the debate

Coming up this evening at 9, "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes back former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich and former Governor of Michigan Jennifer Granholm to debate last night's first presidential debate between President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Monday, Granholm joined Piers Morgan from the set of her show "The War Room with Jennifer Granholm" to talk about debate preparations. Two days before the debate, the former governor predicted Romney would be declared the winner of the debate by the media "regardless of actually what happens."

The last time Gingrich was on the program he explained what Romney needs to do to win the election. "He has got to stand up, he's got to be very firm, and very aggressive," the former presidential candidate said. "He's not in a competition to be likable, he's in a competition to be capable."

Tonight we'll also hear from former Senator Rick Santorum, former Romney debate coach Brett O’Donnell, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and many more. It all starts at 9 tonight.

Don't be so nieve, you ever heard of sandbagging, go look it up, you guys kill me with the importance of these debates, they mean nothing, what "idiot" is undecided @ this point, over 30 states are allready early voting. I guess this gives you guys something to talk about for a week, last nites debate reminded me of a cat playing with a mouse, republicans bought into it, they have such low expectations of "MITT" that they will take what they think is a victory and run with it. Watch what happens over next few weeks.

Your argument is more effective when you can spell LIAR.

Granholm was a catastrophic failure as Govenor of Michigan and left the state so much worse economically after eight years as govenor, why on earth would anyone listen to anything she has to say.

Why anyone would choose Jennifer Granholm as a part of a debate is a practical Joke. The worst governer in Michigans History . She is a second string quarterback of the worst team in a league and she is in a league of her own. She had great Ideas and Enthusiasm but the Job was bigger than she was.

Mitt Romney vs. Newt Gingrich: making 'moderate' a dirty word
Moderation is no virtue, at least when it comes to the brewing battle between Republicans Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich over who is more deserving of the label conservative.

President Obama was probably tired. He has a lot on him. Not only is he campaigning but he is also running the country. All Romney has to concentrate on is campaigning. President Obama needs to get some rest. He also needs to stop using the same talking points he says the same thing all the time. All he talks about is clean energy and invest in education. While i respect him, he needs to expand his talking points. It's the same dialogue we heard in 2008.

      I hope you're kidding.
Obama went to Vegas to fundraise the night of the attacks in the Middle East. He goes on the The View, Letterman, meets with Jay-Z, etc, etc, instead of meeting with world leaders. Excuse me for missing where he's taking his presidential duties so seriously.

Plain and simple, Obama mailed it in last night because he was unprepared. To me, beyond all else, that is COMPLETELY unacceptable. He's not a 3rd grader who forgot about a math test. This was an important debate for his re-election campaign for the most position in the world. If he can't find time for practice and evidently presumes it's all beneath him, what does that say about the way he treats the day to day activities of the office?

His reaction time could have been slower than usual because he had been up all night talking with Turkey trying to prevent the start of WWIII. Or did you forget that Turkey and Syria were bombing each other this week?
And there's Mitt, he's been shooting his mouth off all month about things concerning foreign policy that he knows nothing about that makes the President's job that much harder.
To tell you the truth, I don't know how he kept himself from slapping the liar in the mouth before things got started.!

Obama lost the debate because he did not have a TelePrompter.
In his public speeches, notice that he always looks from side to side, looking at the TelePrompters on each side, which are filled with words that were written by his writers.

The problem with Romney is he is indecisive and he is people pleaser. He was a one hit wonder last night. Romney is not ready to be President he might know how to run a company but he is weak on foreigh policy. With all the violatility overseas we need someone who won't look like a deer in headlights when the unrest comes form Iran. Plus Romney seems like he would be quick to take us to war. To him people are numbers he has no compassion. As long as the numbers add up he could care less who he runs over.

Romney didn't win the debate he just blustered more hot air than Obama but it had no substance. The referee guy gave him more time to bluster as well, but we learned nothing of his economic plan for US because he said it would take too long to explain it. He also avoided trickily the question; "Did he support a voucher/s system for social welfare recipients? Wait & you'll see, Romney's luck won't last...

Also, Romney, seemed last night like a man who did what he was told to do by his spin advisers/hacks re; the debate, to talk a lot. But his advisers forgot to tell him when talking, to give an impression that would reflect on the viewers he knew what he was talking about. He failed miserably, because the people of US still don't know what he's going to do, still don't know his plan to rescue the economy, & still don't know the real "Mitt Romney"!

All i can say is if President Obama wants to be re-elected he better do his homework. Review the debate he just had and get some facts. He needs to outline what he's done and what he is going to do going forward. And ask Romney some hard hitting questions about deductions and the rumor that he is looking to take or housing dedecutions from us.

'Discouraged' workers face tough road back to employment!

Are you feeling the effects of four years of failure? Why don't you try another four years of the same? Who was it that said that failure is the desire to repeat mistakes with the hope that good results will eventually happen?

Well you can thank the Failure in Chief, Obama!

23 million America's unemployed or underemployed!
Unemployment over 8% for 43 months and counting!
The price of a gallon of gas has doubled! Under Obama's failed leadership!
49 million Americans on food stamps!
3.6 million more Americans on Social Security Disability Insurance!
    Backdoor amnesty for illegal aliens!
Democrats in the Senate have not produced a budget in four years!
51% of college graduates cannot find a job! Because of Obama's failed fiscal policy!
$5.5 trillion in new federal debt, under Obama!
In Obama's twisted logic, he will not tell Americans, that the top 20% of all American income earners pay 87% of all federal income tax.
Will not enforce all federal laws equally! Will enforce DOMA!
Ambassador Stevens was murdered in Benghazi, Libya! Obama lied about his death!
Obama's foreign policy failures are notable, he has lost. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, Libya!

Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
    –Aldous Huxley

Remember: Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

    Romney/Ryan=2012 and beyond!

I find Piers Morgans comment / open invite about President Obamas refusal to appear on his show quite rude and arrogant. He wouldnt pass such comments about Queen of England. The message was too flippant to be addressed to the President of United States. The President doesnt need to appear on Piers Morgan Tonight to win or otherwise.
