Two days removed from the 2012 general election, this evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes a wide-ranging group of news-gatherers and newsmakers, experts, and analysts, all charged with lending their insight and perspective to various issues impacting the next phase of the nation.
Currently serving as governor of Massachusetts – a position previously held by Mitt Romney – Deval Patrick has long been a strong supporter of the recently victorious Barack Obama and will return to the program along with his brand of candid commentary. In previous visits, Patrick has shared his position on such subject matter as the challenges Barack Obama has faced negotiating with Congress.
In addition to Patrick, tonight Piers Morgan will also welcome legendary journalist Dan Rather for another live, face to face primetime interview. A frequent visitor to the New York studio, the seven-time Peabody Award winner is a broadcasting icon, and a master of rhetoric, in the past uttering such phrases as "making his fingernails sweat" and "the smell of victory in his nostrils" as part of his description of what was then a hotly-contested race for the Republican nomination.
Tune in this evening at 9 as Rather and Patrick help pace this evening's show, while Piers Morgan also touches upon such polarizong topics as the recent legalization of marijuana in two states, as well as the pending "fiscal cliff."
