Tonight at 9, “Piers Morgan Tonight” welcomes former Sen. Rick Santorum to the program to talk about the upcoming fiscal cliff as well as the breaking news that Gen. David Petraeus has resigned as head of the Central Intelligence Agency.
"It's very disturbing," Santorum says. "We all have our personal failings and none of us are perfect but to put yourself in that type of position and engage in activity which could compromise your ability to do your job is something that is very very disturbing and shows incredibly poor judgement."
Santorum is disturbed not only because Petraeus broke his marital vows "but for putting himself in a position that could compromise the agency."

I was extremely disturbed that Piers Morgan did not question the accusations Rick Santorum made stating that President Obama voted, on two occasions, for the allowance of "infanticide", the killing of infants after birth. Piers had ample time to get clarification of these statements. Piers must have realized that Mr. Santorum was attacking the President's political reputation by skewing facts, and that such voting never took place. This should be addressed by CNN as many people turn to them, from around the world, for accurate news reporting. Today, people realize there is a fine line between a leader's stance and a leader's action.

I look forward every night to your show. You are a skilled interviewer and seemingly balanced. ( I deplore the invectives hurled at you because you are an "outsider"...I love your fresh & sane take on events. }
However, regarding your interview with Rick Santorum tonight, I was surprised when he said that the problem with MR was that he spent too much time on the "little" issues, ie Planned Parenthood. I was dissapointed that you did not respond by saying something like " well, indeed sir, perhaps that was a problem with MR, these issues were not "small" with half of the population in the USA. and he should have decried, explained or halted them. Hence, a partial reason for his defeat.
Anyways, keep up the good work.
