As violence and unrest continued in Gaza and Israel, Alan Dershowitz, Reza Aslan and Mark Perry sat down with Piers Morgan live on Monday evening to discuss the conflict.
"Israel is targeting as best they can only terrorists," said Dershowitz to which Morgan countered, "They killed a whole family yesterday."
"But the reason is because Hamas was firing rockets in order to induce them to kill the whole family," explained Dershowitz. "It's called the dead baby strategy."
"They want their children to be martyred so they can carry them out, show them to the international media and thereby gain an advantage over Israel," continued Dershowitz. "It's a double war crime and the media encourages it."
Aslan spoke to the impact of the conflict in the Middle East explaining, "the longer it continues, whether a cease-fire is possible or not, the longer it continues the more devastating it's going to be towards Israel."
"Not just the fact that more and more civilians and more children are going to inevitably die, but Israel's legitimacy on the international stage is going to continue to deteriorate."
Perry, a Middle East expert with contacts to Hamas at a senior level, gave his insight on a possible cease-fire. "I think the principles for a cease-fire are in place," said Perry. "An end to the siege, that's what Hamas wants. An end to the siege of the targeting of their leadership."

Dershowitz is an apologist for a brutal regime that has oppressed and killed countless. Dershowitz's books on the Israel-Palestine conflict have been considered frauds by many. He was exposed on Piers Morgan's show.
Apparently he got owned by Dr. Finkelstein on a debate on Democracy Now. Dershowitz's scholarship is in question when he uses sources like a high school syllabus and a link to a movie for sources for his now debunked book Case for Israel. He couldn't beat Finkelstein in a debate so he had to resort to threatening UC press for publishing Finkelstein's expose of his book. He even tried to write an angry letter to then governator but didnt work. The only slime tactic he could use is influence De Paul to deny Finkelstein tenure. Dershowitz can't run circles around a tree let along defend intelligently the Israeli case. The facts are pretty clear and supported by mainstream human rights organizations and Israeli ones like B'Tselem.
Hamas seem to have a lot of hotheads on their side, like this Mark Perry, is it any wonder they can't suggest a true honest peace plan with the other side. War will sadly ensue, wait & you'll see!

Hey, Morgan, you should be very proud ! By the way, Morgan, if some terror group was targeting you and your family , you would be crying for your country to flatten them, which Israel could do in 5 minutes. NO country would be as CAREFUL as Israel in avoiding civilian losses – compare the IDF to NATO in Iran, Afganistan and Pakistan – the IDF's record is better ( and I support wholly what NATO is doing) .
No one wants there children to be martyred.... this phrase gets lost in translation. Our grandmother use to tell " I love you so much I will eat you all up." She was British. The Isreals want to justify there brutality no difrent to what Hitler to the Jews people. It's shamefully how our goverment supports this monster instead of seeing the truth. Why are ourvleaders held hostage by Isreal?

Oops! The Israelis want to Justify there brutality just like Hitler did to the Jewish people. It's shameful how our Government supports this monster instead of seeing the truth. Our leaders are held hostage by the Israelis why?
I don't really understand on what is happening! The oppressed population trying to stand and react to the occupation, we call them terrorist, to force them to do not request for their independence. This just like the time of slaves, were slaves were oppressed and could march to claim their freedom, if this was happening today, I believe they were going to be called terrorist.
For all this to end, Israel need to agree to the two states principles and avoid to increase settlements and recognize the freedom of oppressed population. People are now getting fed up with Israel and their reason is now getting down. Israelis must not make Palestinians suffer because they suffered as well under Hitler.
