This coming January will mark the start of a new year. It will also mark the start of a new tenure, under new leadership, at CNN Worldwide. On Thursday, the network announced that Jeff Zucker will join "The Worldwide Leader in News," assuming the role of president.
A news and television veteran with a quarter of a century of experience, Zucker comes to CNN after a lengthy tenure in multiple roles at NBC and, more recently, as executive producer of the syndicated daytime show "Katie."
"Jeff’s experience as a news executive is unmatched for its breadth and success,” said Phil Kent, chairman and CEO of CNN parent company Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.
The move to CNN will signify a reunion of sorts with host Piers Morgan, who worked under the leadership of Zucker during his time as a judge on NBC's "America's Got Talent." On Monday, as rumors of Zucker's hire were trickling out in the press, the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host used the social media micro-blogging site Twitter to announce the news:

On joining CNN, the 47-year-old Florida-native described his latest career move as being nearly on par with that of his beloved NFL football team:
“The global reach and scale of the CNN brand is unparalleled in all of news. Outside of my family and the Miami Dolphins, there is nothing I am as passionate about as journalism. I spent the most rewarding years of my career as a journalist, and it’s where I look forward to spending many more."
As "Piers Morgan Tonight" moves into it's third year in January what are you expecting to see from the program? What do you want to see more of? What do you want to see less of?
