Barbra Streisand's fantasy dinner party

Coming up soon, "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes one of the most iconic singers and actresses of our time, Barbra Streisand. Piers Morgan sits down with Streisand for a rare interview as the two look back on her lengendary career, on screen and stage, and look forward to her newest acting role in the film "Guilt Trip."

So as we head into the holiday season where family and friends often gather around the table for a feast, Morgan asks the 70-year-old to dream up a dinner party with guests from any time period. First on her list? "Albert Einstein," she says. "I'd like to meet him." A dinner party with some of the greats from history would not be complete without Leonardo Da Vinci and Vincent Van Gogh.

"You'd have to put him [Van Gogh] on your left, right?" the host asks. "No, he could be on my - no, no I'd put him across," she corrects herself. Now that the two have named a couple of painters and a scientist, Morgan asks the entertainer to name an entertainer in history.

"Besides Marlon [Brando]?" Streisand asks. "Marlon, he is a definite," they both agree. As the duo move on to select one living person the host can't help but ask, "Who's the greatest living human being?"

"Holy mackerel," Streisand begins. "God, you ask these questions, they are amazing."

"I know who my answer would be," Morgan responds. "I would say Nelson Mandela ... He could have taken his country into utter civil war, and instead he took it into peace and prosperity. I just think he's the greatest man all over the world."

"Yeah, I'd like to have him at that dinner table," Streisand concurs.

"Let's have Nelson," Morgan declares.

"OK. Let's have him then," Streisand responds.

Morgan comes back, "He can talk to Einstein ... about the theory of relativity."

"And then Van Gogh can paint them," says Streisand.

"Exactly."

It's not the gun that pulls the trigger Piers it the idiot that pulls the trigger. Also people in Mexico can't afford guns and they have them, hence , any idiot can get them

Go back to England if you want to control the people! You're not an American any way. We sure don't tell you what to do in Britan.

Finally somebody ready to take on the gun people and not back down. I am Canadian and never understood the American love affair with guns. Please continue, I do believe that you will succeed in showing the stupid of the NRA.

I don't think Piers knows the difference between a semi-automatic gun and an automatic gun. 90% of guns sold are all semiautomatc. You have to pull the trigger each time you want the gun to fire with a semi automatic with an automatic you hold the trigger and the gun will fire until the magazine is empty. At 50 yards give me a 12 ga. shotgun loaded with #2 buckshot and let whoever have the ar 15.

Nothing like breaking a conversation down to "your not from around here". Well, that is reassuring in some sence. It is astonishing to realize that the right to own guns weighs more heavily on the minds of some citizens then the security of there children...one day your daughter/son will be fifteen and out with friends...would you like there troubled friend to show up at the party with a bolt action or semi, seriously this is a choice, what???

This has nothing to do with guns. Rather, it is a statement on Pers Morgan's interview with Barbra Streisand.
It was absolutely fantastic. She was or looked completely relaxed. Pers's questions were responded to
in an open and frank dialogue.
    Thank you Pers.
