• NRA to talk about Sandy Hook as mourning continues: "Americans in at least 29 states will stop whatever they're doing to remember the lives snatched when a gunman burst into a Connecticut elementary school exactly a week ago and rained hell."
• Blizzard causes chaos in Midwest: "A blizzard that hammered the Midwest is expected to weaken Friday. But the road closures, school cancellations, power outages and travel delays spawned by the storm continue to cause widespread havoc and inconvenience."

I was severly dissaapointed in Piers Morgan's interview with Gun Owners of America Executive Director Larry Pratt. I have enjoyed Mr. Morgan and respected his views in the past, however, in this interview he went overboard. When Mr. Pratt brought up some very relevant facts Mr. Morgan followed the typical liberal line, when you can't counter a logical argument, attack the messenger. Mr. Morgan showed his bias and ignorance of the facts by calling Mr. Pratt "stupid" and illogical. The only country in the world to date that has stopped such multiple killings of children in schools is Isreal, and they did it by repealing no gun zones in schools and allowing responsible, trained citizens and teachers to carry guns. That's a fact, check it out!!!
That was because he was stupid! You idiot!
Morgan uses the British method of "Ambush TV", Morgan doesn't care about facts only ratings. He is an example of what out news media has become. In Brittan all news papers, TV news and magazines are either liberal or conservative and Morgan is the perfect example that the Brits have led us over the media cliff. Cronkite would be appalled at the partisanship exhibited by our so called news media today. Perhaps Walter Cronkite has some good ideas as to what happened to our once independent news media in one of his books. Our founding fathers would also be appalled at what we have become, a divided nation. Will the United States of America survive this kind of division? Can Americans drop the terrific angry they exhibit to the opposing political side. The civil war was over sectionalism between the North and South and to a lesser extent the West, the South felt that the resources weren't being equally divided. Now we are no closer as a nation than we were in the 1860's. "Is this the beginning of the end" to quote a well known phrase? Perhaps it is time for "Direct Representation" where each citizen votes on each and every issue? My personal thought is that "Direct Representation" would be an absolute mess, but if it can hold this nation together for another century it will have been successful. Folks if you don't understand that we American's are tearing ourselves and our country apart then you are blind. The next civil war will be between the rural people and the city dwellers. Guess which side will eat better.
I suggest that CNN and the other liberally minded media outlets get with healing the USA rather than tearing it apart and destroying any cohesiveness that remains if any.
