Welcoming his guest for a primetime interview, Piers Morgan asks the American evangelical Christian pastor and author his opinion on Christianity in America and its influence on politics.
"I think, also, I think during the last decade, the term "Evangelical" became not a theological term, but a political term," says Warren.
"And a lot of people were turned off by the politics," explains Warren. "They say, well, everybody knew that President George [W.] Bush was a 'Evangelical.' They say, 'oh, then you must be in favor of the Gulf War.'"
