As Hillary Clinton was released from the hospital on Wednesday, "Piers Morgan Tonight" invited Kiki McLean to share her reaction to those who questioned the legitimacy of the Secretary of State's condition.
As various members of the Republican Party suggested Clinton was using her health to avoid dealing with controversy surrounding Libya, even going so far as to call her illness the "Benghazi Flu," McLean made no attempt to hide her outrage:
"You know what my really complicated analysis of that is?" the former senior adviser to the Hillary Clinton for President campaign asked guest host Wolf Blitzer. "They're stupid. People who go out and generate rumors and lies are stupid. And they shouldn't be doing so on national television, and they shouldn't be doing so at the real risk of someone else's health. And Hillary Clinton is somebody who recognizes not only the responsibility to the job she has, but her role in public life and that's why they've made sure folks knew what's been going on and for those guys to go out and do that, really, a former ambassador said that? A member of Congress said that? A national journalist?"
Also as part of Wednesday's program, Blitzer switched his focus from political theater to pop culture, inviting a panel of experts to discuss the entertainment world's hottest current topic: the unborn child of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
Referencing the recently-announced pregnancy of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and referring to the West-Kardashian conception as "America's royal pregnancy," guest Margaret Hoover marked the stark differences between the two couples:
Between the hip-hop artist and reality television star, the duo now known simply as "Kimye" boast a combined Twitter audience of more than 26 million followers. With that type of following, Leigh Gallagher suspects the couple's first child could lend itself to a huge payday:
"This is going to be a major, major Twitter moment because Kim Kardashian is - I mean, I don't know the numbers but she's one of the top people on Twitter," said Fortune magazine's assistant managing editor. "Twitter has had a hard time monetizing its business model. So maybe there's a way in the next seven, eight months, whatever, however far along she is, to figure it out so that this could be some sort of bonanza. Because it is going to blow up as they say."
Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, and hear guest host Wolf Blitzer reveal whether or not he is one of Kim Kardashian's more than 17 million followers.
