On Wednesday evening, NBC's "Today" show weatherman Al Roker brought his sunny personality to the "Piers Morgan Tonight" studio for a fun and lively interview.
Roker chatted with Piers Morgan about the ongoing ratings rivalry between "Today" and "Good Morning America". Just this past April, the ABC morning show unseated "Today" from their spot as the top morning news program.
"It's not the worst thing to get a kick in the slacks," said Roker. "We're not changing what we do. We're just gonna work at it that much harder."
And speaking of slacks, Roker also address the "little accident" he experienced during a visit to George W. Bush at the White House a while back. Roker recently confessed in a "Dateline NBC" profile piece that after having bypass gastric surgery he would occasionally have issues with his bowel movements.
Unfortunately, one of those occasions happened on his way to the White House Press Room. "I pooped in my pants," admitted Roker.
"Gastric bypass is a serious surgery," Roker told Morgan. "I was a month away from having the surgery in 2002. If you eat the wrong things you're going to have gastric problems."
Thankfully Roker has healed from his complications noting, "I've been back to the White House about ten times and never had a problem again."
Watch the clips and listen to the interview as Morgan recalls how he'd seen Roker at the White House before and jokes, "Had I known what had been going on before, I would have given you a very wide birth."
