Clips From Last Night: Miscavige Hill on her uncle, Michelle Rhee on paying teachers more than athletes

Two days since the church of Scientology aired a powerful if not divisive television commercial during the Super Bowl, on Tuesday evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomed one of the organization's most-outspoken critics to share a unique blend of insight and perspective.

Prior to leaving the group in 2005, Jenna Miscavige Hill grew up amidst the life first founded by infamous author L. Ron Hubbard and even remained with the organization for five years after her parents left.

In her recently released book "Beyond Belief: My Secret Life Inside Scientology and My Harrowing Escape," Miscavige Hill details her experiences within a religious group often accused of being a cult that brainwashes its members, and forces children into long hours of unlawful labor.

Speaking live with Piers Morgan, the guest fielded questions about the church's current leader, her uncle David Miscavige:

"Is he an evil man?" Morgan asks.

"Yes," came her response, before adding further context. "As you'll read in my book, like, he has both sides, though. You know, like when I was younger growing up, you know, you sort of see a different side of him. But then you see how things gradually change. And I don't know if that was the evolution of his personality or if it was how he, you know, talked to me as a child and then as I became an adult."

Asked by Morgan to explain the worst parts of a life lived within the walls of the secretive religion, Miscavige spoke of feeling trapped, with no ability to make her own choices:

"I would say the worst part of Scientology is that, you know, it's their doctrine or the highway," she said. "Which is what is so ironic about that Super Bowl ad. It talks about how, you know, seekers of knowledge and think for yourself, but you can't think for yourself when you're there."

Tuesday's program, meanwhile, also saw the host turn his attention to the issue of education in America, as Morgan welcomed Michelle Rhee.

The former chancellor of the Washington, D.C. public schools, Rhee currently resides in Sacramento, California, where she runs StudentsFirst, a non-profit, tax-exempt political advocacy organization she founded in 2010.

Married to former NBA basketball star Kevin Johnson, the 43-year-old with degrees from Cornell and Harvard condems the wage discrepencies between pro athletes, and pro educators:

"When you think bout it, it's really crazy that we live in a society where basketball players get paid 12 million dollars a year for dribbling a ball around the court," she told Morgan, using her husband, the current Mayor of Sacramento and a three-time All-Star as an example. "We should be paying the highest performing teachers in this country 12 million dollars because they are impacting the future."

Watch the clips, and listen to the interviews, as Miscavige Hill shares more insight from her Scientology experiences, while Rhee lays out a 3-tier plan for fixing the education issues in America.

Pierce Morgan is absolutely the most rude host on TV. He is constantly interrupting his guests, we cannot hear the full comment from the guest before Morgan is constantly interupting. CNN needs to fire him. He did not appear in this manner when he first took over Larry Kings show. He is arrogant, and defiant with guests. Get rid of him or lose your viewers

CNN, please remove Mr. Morgan from television as soon as you possibly can, he is a disgrace to your network and to the American people in the whole. As King's primetime replacement I have completely given up on watching CNN nd will continue in my protest until this man is removed.

Instead of badgering Dick Morris about why Fox let him go, Piers might want to do a show on why CNN has been letting people go. Or if he wants to talk about the ratings of Fox News, how about doing a comparison of Fox and CNN?

If Van Jones is concerned about Gov. Christie not acting "Presidential", he might want to talk to his former boss, Barack Obama. Pres. Obama is one of the least gracious Presidents we've seen. His lack of dignity and his viciousness are also quite un-Presidential.

      Obama`s 'dignity' vs Mitt`s 'dignity'.
      I choose Obama`s.

Mr. Morgan is an intellectual, literate, knowledgeable and excellent host as he is leading the discussion into the right direction which might not be easy for everyone to understand. It is not a talk show for beginners. He is clearly sticking to the subject and the questions asked to get to the point in a short period of time. An articulate and brave human being! Respect.

Its a shame that it took one lone Brit & a 'shootings marathon' to pursuade the US to do something about guns.
An intelligent, high profile articulate American should have campaigned for gun control long ago.
However, he was too concerned about winning an election at the time.

Perhaps teachers could be paid more if they had a greater audience, online.
Film every lesson, broadcast it, earn money from ads, subscriptions, etc.
If every lesson were recorded, kids will behave.
Perhaps some kids, with an unemployed parent/guardian could join in via the internet, instead of commuting.

Did you know, Bible apps are the works of the devil! The world will self destruct off these modern day Bible apps, and every other device invented. Drones are looking for dirt, and the truth will burn the proud up. Grace exposes all, as mankind is updating real time, and thy Father time is now. *Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. *Psalm 77:15 Thou hast with thine arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.

The world is in the wilderness among the forest of trees? Asaph is the recorder, take heed asap. *Psalm 78:17 And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness. *Mark 8:24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees walking. *Psalm 78:56-57 Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies: But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow. *1st Timothy 5:15 For some are already turned aside after Satan. *Acts 5:39 But if be of God, ye cannot over throw it; *Acts 6:10-11 And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

Job 9:24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof, if not, where, and who is he? *Matthew 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy. *Acts 6:12-13 And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, and came upon him, and caught him, and brought him to the council, And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law: For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us. *John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. The Most High is coming for the children of Israel, his people. And He is only taking a remnant from the world out of billions. So be careful casting stones at us, for the wages of sin is death. *Exodus 28:21 And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes. *Acts 26:7 Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews. *Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: *Obadiah 17-18 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining in the house of Esau; for the Lord hath spoken it.

No man on television has the heart to talk about grace and truth. All religions are the devil. Love truth, hate opinions. The Most High is with us (John 8:40)

The truth about Esau and Jacob? Jacob pretended to be Esau and eventually the sons of Jacob were cursed into the slave ships, (*Exodus 13:15 but all the firstborn of my children I redeem.) Esau sold away his birthright and did not tell his father what he had given away to Jacob. By being so deceitful Esau begged for more blessings, even now the curse is upon his family tree the Dna bloodlines. *Genesis 33:9 And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself. *1st Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourself unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: *Deuteronomy 32:7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will skew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

Satan loves to distract, by keeping lost souls away from grace and truth. Our God is righteous. And the world itself is religious. *2nd Kings 12:16 The trespass money and sin money was not brought into the house of the Lord: it was the priests'. *Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. *Jeremiah 2:8 The priests said not, Where is the Lord? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. (*1st Kings 18:21*) *Hebrews 7:14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood. *Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. *Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. (*Matthew 23:23)

Great question should we pay teachers more then athletes? I think Athletes make way to much money, however i have only had one great teacher in
my entire life. I think teachers pay is fine. They only work 9 months out of the year. I think we need to start teaching better type of
curriculum. I think one great topic would be how to fail forward. We don't teach our children how to handle failing.I also think we need to teach our children how to communicate with each other and how to respect each other.
