Coming up tonight at 9, Robin Meade makes herself comfortable in Piers Morgan's usual chair, becoming the latest talent to fill in as part of "Guest Host Week."
With the British television presenter across the pond, HLN's lead anchor assumes control this evening, welcoming television star Chris Noth to offer his positions on everything from politics and climate change, to Valentine's Day and Manolo Blahnik's.
Joining the guest host for a face to face conversation, the man known as "Mr. Big" from the "Sex and the City" franchise opens up about a cause he feels passionately about – the environment – and the ways in which he wants to see it receive more attention.
On the heels of Tuesday's State of the Union address, Meade asks her guest if he was satisfied:
"So, when you heard the president speak last night, about climate change, and that we must do something about climate change, was that enough for you?"
"No, no, no," says Noth, flatly. "Look, I'm a huge supporter of Obama's – he's the first president I ever donated money to. But I think in terms of climate change and the environment, he's been, at best, disappointing."
On Sunday, Noth will join Whoopi Goldberg to host the Rainforest Action Network's Annual Gala, an event that will help the organization's overarching goal of "protecting the world's rainforests, stemming climate change and defending human rights."
Calling the current environmental situation a "planetary emergency," the 58-year-old Golden Globe nominee calls for less talking, more doing:
"Rhetoric isn't enough, we've heard a lot of rhetoric. We've got to be acting, radically, now, and we just don't seem to be able to get governments to have the kind of courage to do that."
