Tonight: Texas Abortion Debate and Presidential Panel

As much of the nation looks at the Lone Star State in reaction to a recent story about a pregnant 16-year-old girl, this evening "Piers Morgan Tonight" welcomes a handful of live guests, all charged with providing various points of perspective and context on the unmarried Texan who sued her parents as they attempt to force her to abort the pregnancy.

Joining Piers Morgan from Houston, Greg Terra and Stephen Casey will speak on behalf of the 16-year-old girl. Additionally, the father of the unborn child will offer his view of the situation, while Civil Rights Attorney Gloria Allred will bring her wealth of legal expertise, and extensive history of acting as an advocate on behalf of women.

Meanwhile, as Monday is President's Day, this evening the program will welcome a trio of guests, all whom share last names, and family trees, with former inhabitants of the Oval Office.

John Taft (great grandson of U.S. President William Howard Taft,) Michael Reagan (adopted son of U.S. President Ronald Reagan,) and Margaret Hoover (great granddaughter of former U.S. President Herbert Hoover,) will all join the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host for a live discussion on all things political and presidential.

Tune in at 9 for a special holiday edition of the show, as Morgan talks Texas, and social issues, and also pays homage to the leaders of the United States to whom Monday is dedicated.

I hope that Piers will address the issue of whether or not the young girl is fully informed about the impact that abortion will have on her life. The fact is that there are scientific laws that control the impact of abortion. The laws can be viewed here: http://www.naturalabortionlaws.com

I believe that if the young girl were aware of the positive side of abortion she may choose a better path.

      Mr. Morgan:
      – In most states minor children can become legally emancipated from their parents if they are financially independent, with permission of parents, and sometimes by a judge. They still are under child labor laws, and still need to go to school.
      – Marriage age varies by state.
However, emancipated or not, married or not, no minor may drink until age 21.

Of the 32 states that receive more welfare than they contribute, 27 (84%) are Red States (Republican)
14 out of the 15 states with the highest levels of teenage pregnancy are Red States (Republican)
The 7 most obese states voted for McCain (Red) in 2008, the 7 least obese, for Obama (Blue)

Visit Katiesway.org. Real life (and death by murder) abortion story. A mother lays down her life for her child; she doesn't take the life of her child. Here is the real story.

I keep hearing over and over from you, "why does any person need a military style gun". I guess no one has said it so let me. We don't NEED these guns, of course we don't NEED these guns, but we WANT these guns. Just as the wealthy man doesn't need any car that costs over 35,000.00 and or goes faster than 200 miles per hour. He WANTS it. So why don't you get on a soap box about cars which are killing more people every day than guns ever will, even the ordinary commuter sedan. Alcohol is also more deadly than guns but we allow it to be advertised and pushed on t.v. unfettered. Stop asking that question!!! the answer is simply WE WANT THEM. WE WANT THEM!! If we are to be denied the right to have them then shouldn't sports cars be restricted to horse power and speed limits ??? And alcoholic beverage companies be restricted - in SOME way??? Please understand it IS THAT SIMPLE.

How sad some people think they should have to convince young adults to kill their child. Does everyone have to follow the same path in life to be happy and successful? Everyone faces challenges in life. If there is love, faith, and hard work, this young couple can make things work and experience the amazing joy of loving a child. Democrats should be talking about their beloved govt programs that may help, rather than pushing abortion. Florida has a wonderful program which helps teen parents finish high school by providing babysitting services and separate classes. Many teens have gone through this program and gone on to hold good jobs and have more children. Although this couple's situation is not ideal, it is wonderful to know these young people are making a choice based on love rather than convenience.

Piers, re: the case of the sixteen year old pregnancy. Why would Gloria Alldred be a part of this discourse? Were not Jesse Ventura, Al Sharpton, Joel Osteen, or any of the other self-promoting knuckleheads (my humble opinion) available? Your role-I believe-is to present the situation, and open a forum. Bringing a polarizing person into the question negates your role as a moderator of the issues. Once again, in my humble opinion.
