As the rape trial in Steubenville continues to divide a community, on Thursday evening "Piers Morgan Live" invited Traci Lords to share her unique insight and unparalleled perspective.
A native of the small Ohio city, Lords herself was a rape victim at the age of 10, and shows little sympathy for the teens accused of perpetuating a similar nightmare nearly 35 years later:
"Absolutely not," Lords quickly proclaims when asked if she feels any sympathy for the young boys accused of sexually abusing the alleged victim, a 16-year-old girl. "They treated her like she was an animal. They're carrying her around like she's a pig. They urinated on her. What they did, it's hard for me to even believe that we're talking about children, it's so ugly."
Forty-four years old, a mother, and long removed from an infamous career as an adult film star, Lords is outraged by the events that are said to have occurred at several end-of-summer parties:
"I keep asking myself today, you know, where were the parents? What were they thinking?" Lords said to Piers Morgan. "It's not even human. It's outrageous. It's ugly. It's heartbreaking."
Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, as the woman born Nora Louise Kuzma adds more context to the complicated case quickly becoming one of the most-polarizing in the country.
