READ about Piers Morgan's long career in journalism here.
Coming up this evening at 9, "Piers Morgan Live" welcomes Tom Hanks to the program for a very engaging and fascinating sit-down interview.
Returning to the theatre after 32 years, Hanks will make his broadway debut in Nora Ephron's upcoming play "Lucky Guy."
However long before the multitude of accolades and award-winning performances in films such as "Philadelphia" and "Forrest Gump", Hanks made his way into the homes and hearts of television audiences on the American sitcom "Bosom Buddies" with co-star Peter Scolari.
Reunited as cast members for "Lucky Guy, Hanks and Scolari reminisced about their experience on the sitcom, which ran from 1980-1982 on ABC, over two life-sized cardboard cut-outs of their characters in costume.
"Those were for the pilot," recalls Hanks laughing about wigs and dresses that he and Scolari donned for the show.
"We’d be, you know, we’d be leaning in each other’s doorway, you know, with our pantyhose on and our foundation garments," says Hanks. "With the fake bosoms," adds Scolari. "And we’d say, 'I don’t know I was out playing catch with my son the other day.'"
Check out the clip, and listen to the hilarious exchange between Hanks and Scolari, then tune in at 9 for the "Piers Morgan Interview" and watch the entire full-hour special with one of the most beloved and celebrated actors of the modern era.
