Coming up this evening at 9, "Piers Morgan Live" invites Ezekiel Emanuel to join the program for an honest and insightful primetime interview.
The elder brother of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Ezekiel is a bioethicist, who lists Harvard University, the University of Oxford, and Amherst College as his alma maters, and is a vice provost and professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
Tonight Piers Morgan asks the former White House adviser, whose brother once served as President Obama's Chief of Staff, to use that unique background and expertise in imagining a hypothetical scenario:
"If you were White House chief of staff, what is the single most important policy you would, if you had complete power, encourage a president to bring in to improve America?" wonders the host.
"We really have to focus on our children and our posterity. We are a country which always says that kids are our most important resource. And I think we have to put the money where our mouth is," says Ezekiel. "I'm the son of a pediatrician and I do believe that the most important resource we have is our kids. And I think the most important thing for America's future is to invest more in our children."
A New York Times columnist, and the author of nine books and countless research texts, Emanuel's latest written work is entitled "Brothers Emanuel: A Memoir of an American Family," and has been described as being a "wry, rollicking, and often poignant narrative of how one American family succeeded in raising three extraordinary children" (Ezekiel's youngest brother – Ari [Emanuel] – is a Hollywood agent, and the basis for the character "Ari Gold" in the hit television program "Entourage.")
Morgan, however, has already sorted out any perceived sibling rivalry:
"Having read the book, I was convinced, and I was correct, when I told your brother Rahm that you are the single most-talented member of the family."
Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, then tune in this evening at 9 as Emanuel shares further insight into his background, both as a doctor and a brother.
