"Piers Morgan Live, Rewind": Fallon to replace Leno on "Tonight Show," and Bubba Watson grows chest hair, drives a hovercraft

Whether you fell asleep early, stayed out too late, or simply want to watch it again, we realize it's not always possible to get your entire "Piers Morgan Live" fix from television. As an answer to this, we offer the below labor of love – "Piers Morgan Live, Rewind" – dedicated and designed to getting you caught up and connected to the conversation.

  • Television Drama: Why NBC's ousting Leno for Fallon

On the background of an ever-churning rumor mill centered around the saga that is late-night television – specifically the "Tonight Show" – on Tuesday "Piers Morgan Live" invited Kim Masters and Ken Auletta to add their insight to news that Jimmy Fallon will replace Jay Leno.

Masters, who serves as editor-at-Large for the "Hollywood Reporter" and is credited for breaking the story, surmised that Leno's past may be playing a role in dictating the future:

"He was, of course, hugely damaged in the battle with Conan O'Brien a couple of years ago," she said. "He came out as the bad guy who had undermined Conan O'Brien and there was just that whole "Team Coco" thing and I think there's still some hangover from that."

Auletta, meanwhile, thinks the decision comes down to money:

"I think one of the issues here, and one of the reasons they want to move him off, is because he doesn't appeal to a younger audience," said the "New Yorker" media writer. "Now it's who gets the most younger viewers, because that's what advertisers want. And the truth is, broadcast television is a medium designed to sell ads. And if you don't reach those younger people, you don't sell ads. "

  • "Talkin' 'bout chest hair": Watson is a 'real man'

Also as part of Tuesday evening's program, Piers Morgan spoke live with reigning Masters champion Bubba Watson. While reparing to defend his title at Augusta, Watson's appearance also comes on the heels of his most-recent YouTube video as part of "The Golf Boys," in which he proudly displays a thick patch of chest hair:

"A bit of a sort of Engelbert Humperdinck chest wig going on there, Bubba," noted the host.

"I thought real men have chest hair. So I just wanted everybody to see it and know I'm a real man," he responded, before adding an inquiry of his own:

"I've got a question, do you shave your chest hair or do you have chest hair?"

"I do not shave it. I do have some. I'm not a Burt Reynolds," retorted Morgan.

  • Watson handles hovercraft: "Let's change the game"

In addition to all things grooming and music, Watson and Morgan also talked transportation, specifically a new-age, air-cushion vehicle that the golfer has been seen using to get around the golf course:

"Is this hovercraft true or is it just an April Fool gag?," asked Morgan.

"No, it's April 2nd. So, no, it's not a gag. This was the real deal," claimed Watson, who hatched the idea with Oakley, one of his sponsors. "Let's change the game of golf a little bit. Let's make it crazy. And so it was fun to do. It was scary to drive it. You know, I only had a five-minute lesson. But then I figured out how to drive it."

I became a fan of the show last year... I have quit watching over the last 90 days because Piers show has turned into a anti gun editorial. I enjoyed tuning in and getting various topics for my entertainment but over the last 90 days its all about guns. This debate needs to happen in states all over the country but I would prefer not to watch it nightly.

I am watching Pierce Morgan discuss gun control. Pierce is butting in so much I have turned the program off. I used to watch Bill O'Reilly but same thing, no more as too much butting in. Programs are not interesting when one continues to butt in. Tell Pierce to keep quiet once in awhile. Thanks! I used to really enjoy Pierce Morgan but it is becomming too many Thanks!
