As fans around the world mourned the passing of legendary movie criticRoger Ebert, on Thursday "Piers Morgan Live" invited filmmaker Michael Moore to share his thoughts and memories of the late Pulitzer Prize winning journalist.
An acclaimed documentarian and director of multiple projects including "Bowling for Columbine" and "Roger & Me," Moore recalled Ebert's support for independent films and unknown filmmakers, telling Piers Morgan that "he was such an incredible supporter of the underdog."
"I really owe – in some sense – my career to him," continued Moore. "He was the very first person to write about my very first movie."
Watch the clip, and listen to the interview, as Moore shares his admiration and respect for Ebert, an industry icon who kept writing and "working right to the end."

And here I thought there was nothing of a negative light to say of Mr. Ebert.....except now we know he helped 'birth' that fat-slob Michael Moore.
Roger had great taste to realize the brilliance and talent of Michael Moore, a real American.
Morgan, why don't you and your lover Michael Moore go disappear on some uncharted island, with no way to contact the rest of the world? We're sick of you both!
