Martin Savidge digs for details on Ariel Castro

On Friday evening, a day after the prosecutor for the Ohio kidnapping investigation revealed he'd be seeking murder charges for accused abductor Ariel Castro, "Piers Morgan Live" invited Martin Savidge to dig deeper into the man accused of kidnapping and raping multiple women over a 10 year span.

An Ohio native, the CNN reporter spent the day crafting an in-depth account of the 52-year-old Cleveland man who emigrated from Puerto Rico when he was six:

"Relatives say Ariel was raised by his mother and didn't get along with his father," reported Savidge. "He dropped out of school in the tenth grade."

A self-taught musician, Castro exhibited different personalities, exuberant on stage, timid when off.

However, Savidge learned of a third side:

"But he could be incredibly violent say court documents ... in 2005 Castro was accused of savagely beating his wife breaking her ribs, her nose, dislocating her shoulders and triggering a blood clot on the brain while threatening to kill her and her daughter."

Despite such charges, neither neighbors nor family members had any idea what Castro was capable of.

Watch the clip, and listen to the interview as Castro's daughter, amongst others, reveal their reaction after learning of the heinous crimes he's accused of committing.

Must feel bombarded,Dennis, and even a short hiatus will be curtailed when trials get going, and it's all to the fore again.
Probably a while before it finally settles for them in this harsh world and glare of the media spotlight.Wish them well.

A monster in the neighborhood, Ariel Castro the scoundrel. The tightly knit neighborhood and closely connect people cause the failure to see what was going on. Everyone turn a blind eye to what Ariel Castro was doing. Now everyone is coming out of the wood works to voice their opinions which is hard to believe. Ariel Castro kidnapped Gina Dejesus as a form of distraction to the community, so the people in this tight knit community would not believe one of their own is and was the kidnapper and scoundrel. All these people who are saying they called the police, they are fabricating. It took a stranger and and outsider to crack this kidnapping case, and this person is Charles Ramsey. Even though these people are glad the girls are found they are mad that it is a person who is known and belongs to this tightly knit community. The police are doing an excellent job, the police can not do anything when people are seeing and not notifying the police. These people are looking for someone to blame because they are mad and ashamed that it was one of their own. How on earth these family members are visiting and did not see or observe Ariel Castro behavior for over ten long years. I hope Charles Ramsey remove himself from this neighborhood for his own safety.

I am a pacifist, but if allowed, by law, I would like to see this subhuman's balls cut off.
