On the backdrop of monumental Supreme Court decisions which did away with the Defense of Marriage Act and dismissed Proposition 8, on Tuesday evening "Piers Morgan Live" will welcome David Boies and Ted Olsen.
Champions of LGBT rights who argued before the Supreme Court, Boies and Olsen will offer insight into a pair of 5-4 rulings which are being described as nudging "the nation towards broad recognition of same-sex marriage."
Speaking Wednesday morning, Justice Anthony Kennedy explained the majority opinion that "treating those persons as living in marriages less respected than others" is in violation of the Fifth Amendment. Tonight, Boies and Olsen will add their insight and reaction to the thinking of Kennedy, those that agree with him and also the justices that remain in opposition.
Meanwhile, on a day that sees CNN announce the return of “Crossfire”, on Wednesday evening Piers Morgan will welcome the programs' new hosts, Newt Gingrich, S.E. Cupp, Stephanie Cutter, and Van Jones. "Crossfire" aired on CNN for more than 20 years, but this Fall's relaunch will mark it's return to television for the first time in nearly a decade.
Also, as now-former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested, and charged with murder this morning, tonight Morgan welcomes the host of Fox NFL Sunday, Curt Menefee, to share his reactions and insight.
And, on the heels of a second straight NBA championship by the Miami Heat, All-Star forward Chris Bosh will join the program for a live, primetime interview.
Tune in at 9 this evening for a program that will cover everything from politics and sports, to same-sex marriage and murder.
