On Monday evening, "Piers Morgan Live" invited legendary journalist Dan Rather to join the host for a primetime interview.
Joining Piers Morgan for a face to face conversation, the topic of Anthony Weiner's recently revealed indiscretions found its way into the conversation, and Rather did not disappoint with his exquisite rhetoric:
"The damage control – which was built along the lines of the Clinton's of the 1990s – worked pretty well until the second time around, that is to say, he was forgiven by a large section of the voting public in New York," noted Rather. "But then, more pictures arrived on the scene. At that point it began to get creepy. Too creepy even for New York."
As the host chuckled, Rather drew a Texas-sized connection between New York's mayoral candidate, and souvenir merchandise:
"My hometown, adopted hometown of Austin [Texas] has 'Keep Austin Weird,'" revealed the guest. "Nobody in New York wants a T-shirt that says 'Keep New York Creepy.'"
