Christine Brennan on Alex Rodriguez: "I have no sympathy for him, he's one of the worst cheats"

On a day which saw Major League Baseball levy a series of suspensions against 13 players – including 14-time All-Star Alex Rodriguez – for violating the league's substance abuse policy, on Monday evening Christine Brennan returned to "Piers Morgan Live" with her trademark brand of insight and candor.

An award-winning sports columnist and best-selling author, Brennan held little back when describing Rodriguez's alleged use of performance enhancing drugs:

"A man who's lied continually, and now here he is, the ultimate disgrace for himself, really, in the long run, and for the game and for kids watching, that here he is, on the day that he receives the longest suspension of the baseball steroids era, A-Rod is now playing, starting a game in Chicago," said Brennan of the Yankees third-baseman, who begins his 211 game suspension Thursday. "I have no sympathy for him, he's one of the worst cheats, probably the worst cheat ever in baseball, in terms of the steroids era. He deserves this long suspension that he got today."

In his first at-bat of the season, having missed the Yankees previous 110 games while recovering from an injury, the 38-year-old registered a base hit. Unlike the other players suspended, Rodriguez refused to accept his punishment, instead opting to challenge the league's ruling. In the eyes of Brennan, Rodriguez's handling of Monday's penalty serves to simply reinforce his arrogance, and lack of self-awareness:

"This is purely ego, purely a man trying to make more money," she detailed. "He is such a terrible cheat. The volumes of evidence ... and for those who might saying Piers 'Oh, well, how do we know for sure,' he was trying as of yesterday to broker a deal. If he didn't cheat, why would he be trying to broker a deal?"

One thing is the fact one of the most frequent incentives for using your card is a cash-back or maybe rebate present. Generally, you'll have access to 1-5% back for various acquisitions. Depending on the credit card, you may get 1% back on most buying, and 5% back again on expenses made using convenience stores, filling stations, grocery stores along with 'member merchants'.
