With potential U.S. military involvement in the Syrian civil war dominating the national news cycle, on Monday night guest host Wolf Blitzer asked Janice Hahn to share her perspective and analysis:
"I just am not convinced at this time that we ought to rush in and use military force in Syria," said the Democratic Congresswoman from California. "I'm happy the president has consulted with Congress."
As part of a special Labor Day edition of "Piers Morgan Live" that was dedicated entirely to the current situation in the Middle Eastern country, Hahn revealed that she would oppose her party, and vote against Barack Obama, if forced to decide right now:
"I would. I just don't believe this is the right course to take. I'm not comfortable with the resolution that I've read, that would authorize the president to use military force," she told Blitzer, who was filling in for Piers Morgan. "I'm worried about what happens after we strike. [Bashar al-]Assad is calling the Middle East the powder keg that could explode if we strike. So I'm concerned about this."
