On Friday evening, "Piers Morgan Live" welcomed Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson for a candid and revealing primetime interview.
Joining Piers Morgan in person, the man who rose to prominence during the racially charged 1960's and 70's offered his assessment of a present day United States being led by an African-American president:
“I certainly think that some of the issues that [Barack] Obama has are because he is a man of color,” said the 14-time All-Star, and two-time World Series MVP. "I think that some people are still uncomfortable with...being told what to do, if you will...so, do we need change, do we need to get better, do we need to have better understanding, more continuity, more support for each other? Yes."
Thirty-six years after earning legendary status and the nickname "Mr. October" for his spectacular play in the 1977 World Series, Jackson is entirely dismayed by the effort he's seeing out of Washington during the Fall of 2013:
“I’m disappointed. I’m hurt, offended, bothered.. I could not do it. I couldn’t stop jobs, or stop payments for veterans,” said the man who lead his teams to 11 pennants, and five world championships, during a magnificent 21 year career. "The jobs that we've shut down, and then the trickle-down effect afterward. I couldn't do it. So, I'm significantly, I don't know heavy enough of a word, I'm embarrassed and disappointed by our political environment."

using the race card again.
I am disappointed with the King as well Mr. Jackson. I didn't see your live interview, it looked like some of it was missing. So I went to You tube, but it was the same there. But just to let you know. Just think with a stroke of a pen the King could of paid those dead veteran families and didn't. The King also didn't have to close the veteran memorials either. Seems like it is all just a game to Mr. Obama. Speaking of games, I don't think they closed his Royal Golf Course.
Shirle you are exactly right!! The American people are so misinformed, and that is exactly what Obama is counting on. Obamacare is going to wake everyone up, because it is going to hit them in their wallets!
